I was so curious about this product for years, that I had to buy it, it is not that expensive in the Netherlands. But it turned out to be a big mistake and I could have known.
There are so many irritating ingredients in it that it does more harm than good. The Alcohol as the second ingredient and Fragrance, Linalool, Limonene, Geraniol, Coumarin and Citronellol as the last are al problematic. So my scalp became very irritated and the oils made my scalp oily. I cannot understand that this is useful for some people.
I have very sensitive scalp and seborrheic dermatitis sometimes, so I don’t recommend this product for people with that scalp condition.

At 50 years old, I definitely have issues with thinning hair, especially in the front. My bangs are woefully sparse and there’s a lot of scalp showing in that area:-( I color my hair so it is not in the greatest condition but I can only use regular conditioner from the midshaft down. Any regular conditioner near my scalp definitely makes my hair fall out even worse. This means that my scalp gets dry, especially in the winter, and my hair is very unruly, with lots of cowlicks that are hard to control. Enter Neem Hair Lotion. Five or six drops of this rubbed into my hands and then all over my scalp gives me the conditioning and control I need at the roots and it has lessened the rate at which my hair falls out. My bangs are still far from full but, after using the Neem for the last few months, I do notice more little baby hairs along the hairline in front. Not a miracle product for hair loss but I believe it’s helpful.

I have oily and itchy scalp and very dry hair. I used to shampoo my hair everyday, which I found getting my hair even drier. This is a magic product that I used as sort of a dry shampoo (FYI, I’ve never ever liked any dry shampoo in the market). I apply it onto the scalp in the morning instead of washing the hair. It really helps to clarifying the skin reducing the oil production and eliminating the itchiness after one to two weeks of regular use.
Also, the lotion has an earthy herbal smell that feels clean and refreshing, which I like. I usually have problems with strong perfumes that many leave in conditioners/dry shampoos/hair products have.
Finally, a tip for application. Dilute it with water and apply it with a spray bottle. Quick and convenient, and importantly, helps the product to last longer.

I love, love, love this product. I have long, fine, color-treated hair and most products weigh my hair down or make it look greasy, or just leave it dry and frizzy. This Neem Lotion is the consistency of water, yet it makes my hair so soft and shiny I can’t believe it. I work it into my scalp and then run a little through the rest of my hair. There is no added weight, it does not dull my hair, and I could see the difference with the first use. I love the smell too — light and clean. I can finally dump all the barely used products I’ve collected. This is all I need.

This is an excellent product if you’re suffering from a dry scalp – especially in winter. It’s not at all like hair oils – this is entirely different. It’s really a ‘tonic’ for the scalp, and I found applying a small amount to my scalp and massaging it in has a refreshing effect and takes the itch away almost instantly. I don’t have dandruff – just that tight, itchy scalp that seems to come along with winter. This cures it. It does have a slight herby smell like another poster said, and this does go away pretty quickly. Overall I think it’s a great product, but it’s very specific to the scalp – don’t expect the effects of a hair oil or conditioning treatment.

I’m using my second bottle of this, not really sure if it did anything but i just want to take care of my scalp.
I had no problem with the bottle. Of course it would be great if it came with a spray bottle. But i basically part my hair and sprinkle this along the parting. Then massage it in. Works fine.
It smells of herbs but the smell does not linger.

I’m 60 with hair that has been colored and highlighted for years. Natural texture is slightly wavy with coarse hair on the top where I went gray first. My hair in the front has that fragile, wispy, dry look. I used Dr. H hair lotion for the first time last night after shampooing and immediately saw a difference in the front. I followed the directions, applied directly to the scalp and massaged a bit. I applied some more to the ends. I let my hair air dry these days and typically the front dries immediately and has that rough cuticle look. After applying the lotion to my towel dried hair, the front looked softer and not dry or rough looking. Also the top seemed to spring up more which I liked. Its a very light weight lotion, did not leave my hair greasy.
I have been using Dr. H Neem oil before shampooing and on my hair after it dries but it does look abit heavier so will cont. with the lotion after shampooing and will continue to use the Neem oil before shampooing leaving it on overnight. Right now I only leave it all for maybe an hour before shampooing.

This is a good product, however the packaging is so awful that it completely stops me from using the product. It’s a glass bottle with little hole, through which you have no control whatsoever over how much product is dispensed, or where it goes. For an expensive item, this is not acceptable in my book.

The bottle is useless so I put the product in a spray bottle. Didn’t notice any difference in my hair loss, doesn’t give me any volume like some reviewers said, and makes my hair a little dull. Finished the bottle and I don’t think I’ll repurchase…

i liked this hair lotion better than the one of weleda. it doesnt let the hair greasy and doesnt smell too strong. unfortunately, there is also alcohol in it, but there are more essential oils than the one of weleda. update: i dont use it as often now because the alcohol in it is irritating after all, so i lower one lippie, and i wont buy it again
