My hair is relaxed 4b. I love this treatment. Since going back to relaxers I have struggled with how to keep my hair moisturized while straight. I cannot use water based moisturizers and coconut oil does help after straightening but this truly infuses tresses with moisture that lasts and lasts. A+ product in that you do not need to add heat, it still infuses your tresses. I used this when I was natural as well and I made the mistake others have of first sitting under the dryer with it and then not rinsing it out thoroughly and my hair was a coated oily mess. Just a word of caution, read and follow the directions. This and the K pack conditioners in the same tube packaging are genius. I will certainly purchase again. Got this at Marshall’s for $7.99.

Do you have dry hair? Is your hair in desperate need of a moisture boost? Then look no further than this deep treatment. I am a hair (& beauty) product junkie & rarely buy anything twice. But this stuff will be in my stash forever. I have relaxed hair that’s to my bra strap, and my daughter has curly natural MBL hair & this beauty works miracles for both of us.
It takes just a bit I have had my tube for 3 months and use it twice a week on my hair & on my daughter’s hair & we are only now needing to get more. Tangles melt, dryness disappears, all in 5 min. For a really deep treat I sit under the drier for 20 mins the rinse for bouncy beautiful hair that’s not only soft as buttah but smells fantastic too. Holy grail & highly recommended for everyone. The price is slightly higher than some but a little goes a long way & it’s worth every penny

This is the only Joico Product that I really like. It’s not the best treatment for hair that I’ve ever tried, but it’s good. I have shoulder length, thick, blonde hair with highlights. I’ve highlighted my hair for years and years, so it’s a bit dry. I use this balm as a conditioner (leave it in for about a minute) and sometimes as a treatment (leave it in for longer). It makes my hair soft without making it oily. I wash my hair every two days and many treatments make my hair heavy and oily the second day, but not this one, unless I accidentally add too much, because then my hair gets super oily (it’s a fine line…). I think I will buy this balm again at some point, but I’m not 100 percent sure. There are lots of good treatments out there, so I may go for those instead. I might buy it and use it as a conditioner though.

This treatment is so amazing for thick coarse hair that I have. You only need to put on the mid-length to ends of the hair. After washing, I put some leave in oil and altogether they make my hair so soft, shiny and frizz free. I’ve used other high end products such as Kerastase, Shu umera and macadamia oil masques and this one is the only one that tames my poofy hair. I will surely continue to purchase it.

This product made my hair extremely greasy for several days. I had to wash it over and over again like 5 times (using a clarifying shampoo), eventually resorting to a dish-washing detergent because nothing helped. Even after using a detergent, my hair was still very greasy and I understood that the heavy oily silicone-like coating (almost industrial grade it felt) had to be dissolved using another oil (if that makes sense, because oils don’t mix with water easily and no detergent helped in this case). Using a hair mask from Loreal and a moderate heat (blow drier) on my wet hair I was able to dissolve it and to wash it off eventually after two days only luckily it was over the weekend. The product was ordered from a certified dealer and the opening was intact upon the delivery. Please note that my hair is bleached, quite thick and a rather dry and I have never ever experienced anything similar before and I have used many other Joico products. This was for the first (and the last) time that I have used this balm.
This is also for the first time that I write a product review, I have felt very compelled to share this experience because if you would just use the balm and want to dry and style your hair, you may as well forget it. In my case I could not leave the house, my hair literally looked like it had been soaked in Vaseline even after several washes. Not speaking about the damage that was incurred by aggressive washes that had stripped my hair! Final verdict: no benefits, only hair damage and stress as I was very afraid my hair would be damaged forever!

I like this treatment very much I have a very dry and problematic hair so it leaves my hair feeling wonderful for me is a very good product for a very rasonable price so I´m going to use this product for a long time until I find something more good but right now is one of my most used treatments

I’m not so sure if this is a great product for people with thick and coarse hair, but I CAN say that it is amazing for someone with a lot of frizz. I use this all the time and I don’t find my hair greasy or oily at all (and I even apply this closer to the crown of my head close to where I get the most frizz). When I use it I actually find my curls more defined and not weighed down at all. So if you are trying to find something to calm down your frizz, you should try this!

Wowza! I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to on this one. My hair is past my shoulders, colored and has old highlights, is thick, coarse, wavy and just plain poofy and super dry. And I have tons of it!!! My hair met its match. This stuff is AMAZING. My new holy grail. I knew it the moment I started rinsing my hair. I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed (which btw I think is necessary and may be why some reviewers didnt like it – because they needed to rinse it out more) and it still felt super soft and silky while wet. You know how with some thinner conditioners you get to a moment when you rinsed too much and you think oh crap, I gotta add a little more? Not with this stuff . It clings. As usual, I let it air dry for a while, and I could tell even then my hair was soft and calm and not its normal wiry crazy self. I then blew it dry. And guess what – My hair was under control!!! I usually have to iron the whole head, bit by bit. But with this stuff, all I had to do was iron the top layers and I was done. Like I said, AMAZING. The only thing that made my hair obey like that was a fresh Brazilian Blowout. No exaggeration here. This stuff rocks. Just rinse it well.

I have very damage hair , natural wavy, dry hair due to a balayage highlights and thick I found this in marshalls for only $8 and and used it and it left my hair super soft and less frizzy I do flat iron my hair every other day do you could just imagine all the torture I do to my hair I really commended this the secret is to only put very little and only I’m your ends as is very concentrated . I knew this already Becuase my hair dresser had told me already about this product and he said that he had a hard time working with this but he realized you only need very little
