This review is for the new formula and packaging.
First off I would like to say that I have lots of hair but fine texture. I have basically been coloring my hair since teen years. .Anyway lately I have had bleach baths done around 7-10 times because I tried going darker-darker didnt work for me because Im not 20 something anymore! I ran into this product by visiting a salon in Vienna. I wanted highlights and had a good inch outgrowth.(so you readers realize that Im blonde right now) they refused to do it and explained to me my hair in the back was not correctly even so before they even out the blonde mess they have to get my hair in top shape-no hair color will ever hold. I WAS FURIOUS! But of course a hair disaster after would have made things worse! SHORT INFO: I have used Olaplex before fyi. So to start off the process the stylist started off washing with the Wella SP shampoo and while washing she gasped out “Amazing how your hair is soaking this up” …WOW,I thought-some sales pitch. Then she put on the mask for 5 min and rinsed. Now the procedure: She started off sectioning my hair and adding 3-4 drops to each section and drenching the ends, then with the hairdryer and after it was “in” the hair she started to style it with no brush necessary! I WAS SHOCKED! I havent encountered a product as good as this! This is like botox for hair. My stylist admitted before she wanted to cut off a few inches but after the treatment there was NO split ends visible. I bought a bottle for 70 Euros. After every 5 washes you need to do a treatment. Needless to say my hair held over 5 days not needing a wash and remained very silky. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BETTER THAN *OLAPLEX ,WORTH EVERY CENT,RESCUE EXTREMELY DAMAGED HAIR!
Thank you so much Wella you saved my hair’s life!

This helped my hair tremendously, always repaired it and kept is looking great. Unfortunately due to over processing, I need something like this desperately and I wish there was something similar to this.
To Jubilee: it was never a deep conditioner and it was always keratin based. I do agree with you in that I don’t want to blow dry my hair either, but if I had this product I would be willing to do so just to repair my damage. I’ve seen this with different packaging, is that what you’re referring to?

So Wella Liquid Hair Restructurizer has been on my list of products to try for ages. The problem is it’s been re-formulated since and this version sucks. First off, it’s not a deep conditioner anymore, but more a hair oil treatment. It’s now a keratin based product. Keratin usually does nothing for my hair. You spray this in and then you’re supposed to blow it dry because it “bonds the regenerative ingredients inside the hair structure.” Well, that’s great, but I live in Florida and it’s just too hot to blow-dry my hair everyday. I want something I can just spray in and go. Also the packaging on this was awful. Every time I sprayed it it would leak out of the top and my hand and bottle would be coated with product. What a waste! I used this up, but I certainly won’t be re-purchasing.

I ran across a post about Wella Restructurizing Leave In Conditioner and was curious if anyone has found that the product has been brought back after being discontinued. I have found no other product that does for my hair what this product has done for my fine, limp hair and am searching either for the product itself or a good replacement.
Thanks for your post. I am anxious to know what you have discovered about the product

Well, this product has been discontinued as in 2008 or 09, I believe. I’m dying to find it or anything that can replace it. Guess what??? I think Wella just put them back on market with new packaging. Google it. I got it from my Japanese salon in SF and since I moved down to So Cal, I found my other Japanese stylist also uses this on his clients. I asked him, where did U get it. He’s like, Ohhh..it’s been disc and I use it sparingly, it’s a really good stuff. I totally agreed with him!!! This thing makes my hair so healthy and not heavy or flat. In fact, I have fine, thin and flat straight asian hair. So, it’s hard for me to find a leave in conditioner or any volumizing stuff that won’t weight my hair down. Most products are too heavy for me. Also, my scalp gets oily the next day. So, I’m very very picky. If anybody can find an alternate to this, pls send me a msg. This Wella is in transparent bottle in yellowish liquid/water with grey nozzle. AMAZING, I love this more than Kerastase products. My 2nd favorite is Japanese Milbon, Nigelle ER treatment/conditioner in yellow line. Love love!!!

A belated review on this. I’ve used it on and off for (I think) over 10 years.
I remember purchasing this thinking it would be like a moisturizing leave-in – but it actually thickened my baby-fine, chemically damaged, long hair.
I realize now that it’s protein so it’s great for repair but not moisturizing. If I use this every day, by the time the bottle is empty – my hair feels too dry (too much protein can be drying).
I now use it regularly, but not everyday. I think it’s a great way to strengthen damaged hair.

This is the only product I use on my slightly fine/porous/wavy hair. I have been using this on and off for several years after trying countless number of styling products.(Trust me, I have tried everything. I am a hair product junkie!) My hair cannot tolerate products with any trace of greasiness, and this product has none. Amazingly, this straightens, smooths, softens my hair, and also makes it feel somewhat thicker and shinier! I come back to this spray every time. I really love that it never weighs down my hair. It’s the only product I have found that does such a fabulous job of multi-tasking! I hope this is never discontinued!

This is my favorite leave-in treatment. I have very long blonde color-treated hair that gets very tangled when wet. A colorist suggested that I use this many years ago and I have tried to replace this with other products due to the price, but I have yet to find anything comparable. Whenever I use this, my hair has a shine and a soft texture that I cannot seem to duplicate with any other product. The only negative is that it is not easy to find…but I am always looking!

This is a great product. Of course, I freaked because it was Wella, I could only think of Farah Fawcett….anyway…..I bought it on my stylist’s recommendation and boy was I glad. I know I should continue to use it but there’s so much out there to try. I will definately purchase some more by the end of 07. Yes, it’s on my list!

I tried this because it was on sale for 50% off. It works very well and has a pleasant scent, but the bottle only spritzes a little at a time so I have to dump it into a spray bottle for more coverage. And since I’ve discovered Jojoba oil, I’m switching to that for silkier hair.
