So, what’s the closest thing to Intensive? I loved it. I tried a few Wella products, nothing was the same. I guess it’s like everything else I love bc it worked, it’s gone.

Unfortunately the owner “KC” passed away October 2017, and her products and website have been discontinued.

Instead of buying a simple, albiet expensive, blend of oils, you can easily make your own! Head over to your local health foods store/chemist/market or check online (read reviews for credibility) to buy your own oils and mix up a bottle of lovely ‘homemade’ hair oil, at a fraction of the price, which will last you a lifetime! You can easily get all these ingredients and experiment with mini batches of your own wonderful hair oils! Try: argan oil, abysinnian oil, rose hip oil, almond oil, extra virgin coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, macadamia nut oil, grapeseed oil, and, if desired, add a few drops of essential oils: lavender oil (relaxing, inexpensive) tea tree oil (anti-bacterial benefits, inexpensive), rosemary oil (calming, inexpensive), orange/lemon/mandarin oil (energising, inexpensive), geranium oil (floral, calming, mid-price range), bergamot (citrus, mid-$), ylang ylang (oriental/spicy, calming, mid-$), chamomile (mild, calming, mid-$), rose oil (floral, relaxing, higher-$), sandalwood oil (oriental/spicy, calming, higher-$), frankinsence & mhyrr (oriental/spicy, higher-$). There are so many to choose from, plus you feel like a brilliant, mad alchemist with all these lotions and potions! I add my essential oils to store bought & home-made hair masks/oils and it just makes them amazing! You should always store essential oils in a brown/tinted glass jar, out of the sun, so they will keep for years! You may also need to add a preservative to your hair oil mixes, or keep some refrigerated, just look it up. PS I noted on one post by killer hair strands, where she mentioned hair and skin have essentially the same structure – umm, no, no they dont. Skin is the largest organ in the body, while hair and nails are non-living proteins, the two are not at all similar. Good luck all!

I like this product, although it can be heavy if used excessively. I have bleached hair with a thinner texture so I find it improves the condition of it. The smell is fine, similar to Moroccan oil etc. My sister has coarse curly hair and REALLY loves it.
Best for damaged and curly, in conclusion.

I would not recommend this product to anyone. Over priced and VERY overrated. Dont go joining the group either. Dont be taken in, you will be left hanging around forever waiting for help and then get treated badly and that’s putting it midly.

This product is entirely too heavy for my hair, even when using the tiniest drop. KillerHairChemist wrote that toxic chemicals were found… I am curious about this. Could you please elaborate and give us additional information. Anyone who has had dealing with KC knows if we were to call asking for a refund due to toxic chemicals, with no additional info, this would not go over well. If you could give some additional info, that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Can you believe Killerstrands is actually trying to convince people TO PAY MONEY to join her group blog where any remark Dakota doesn’t like is removed right away ????
Geez what an idiot !!!!
She has closed 2 blogs already due to her hateful temper tantrums and RIP OFF SCAMS…
OH and she is using the McDONALD’S Trademark picture to advertise her new Blog.
Wonde how McDonald’s will feel about this little infringement ?
Of course we can’t respond to her blog because it is closed as always.

SHE AND HER PRODUCTS ARE RATED ZERO

Anyone planning to buy anything from Killer Strands — don’t. It is a scam.
I bought one of her expensive consultations. She never delivered it, one excuse after another, then refused to refund the money. There are so many stories about the owner on the web (mean, crazy, running a fraud, scamming people on shipping, etc, etc, then excusing it all with bad health) — I wish I found them before wasting my hard earned $129.
She has a rating of F on her local better business bureau site.
Just stay away.

I subscribed to the killerstrands group and read the blog some to learn how to lighten my hair without damage. I decided to try the gleam and thriven. My hair is very dry. The gleam has a terrible smell and made my hair very greasy feeling, even using a small amount on the ends at night before bed. I have not tried the thriven yet as I am waiting on an order to lighten my hair and going to use it in that process as recommended by KC at killerstrands..
But please be careful. The woman that makes the product and runs the blog and killerstrands group is either very easy to make explosively angry. She may be mentally ill or just gets very angry at people trying to order her products. She got “off the charts” angry at her her own mistake and hung up on me when I called to ask questions. I was very polite. It was beyond strange and you cannot say anything to calm her down, she just gets angrier even if you are polite. I had ordered recommended products to lighten my hair and got told one way to tone my hair and a different way when I tried to order products..both times by the lady named KC. She yelled at me and two other people that were working with her. It was ridiculous. Next thing I know I am banned from the blog and still have not received that order, though she charged my credit card just over $100. Buyer beware if you buy it from Killerstrands! I will try to follow up if I do or do not receive the order. I have never heard of a company that belittle’s customers and am not even sure where to complain but wanted to put out the warning here since I tried the gleam and even if I loved it I would fear reordering it!.
