At first, like other reviewers, I wasn’t sure what this was supposed to do and it took me a while to figure out how to use it. My hair is long, thick, but the individual hairs are very thin from coloring, over styling and well, age. So my hair is very prone to tangling, especially if worn loose in winter. This foam works great to detangle, smooth, and add shine to my hair. The trick is to add it when the hair is wet, and to comb it in from roots to ends. When I’ve added it to dry hair, it hasn’t worked as well. It contains sea collagen, olive extracts and extra virgin olive oil. Unlike the other reviewers, I haven’t had problems getting the product out: the mousse dispenses easily and is also easy to work with. I purchased mine in Japan, directly from the DHC store, so I’m not sure if that made a difference. Where I live, it’s pretty cheap and I wouldn’t mind repurchasing for the colder season to help detangle my long hair. It’s not spectacular, might do nothing for short, fine hair, I suspect, but if you’re like me with long, wavy hair that knots at the nape of your neck, give this a try.

I think this is more of an Asian product than to be sold in the US. This is not a styling product, like most mosse products. It’s not as strong as usual leave in conditioners. This is more for people like me that have trouble detangling long, straight hairs in the morning. Pantene have a hair-brushing mist sold in Asia, but I don’t find it in the US, and this is a perfect substitute.

Like everyone else…What is this supposed to do?! Wish I’d read the reviews first. The other reviewers are correct-product disappears into thin air before hitting your hair. I had to spray a huge blob on and slap it on immediately. Maybe that’s the problem, but whatever, it just made my hair flat, lifeless and dull.

Unimpressive.
I agree with the reviewer who mentioned that most of it [melts, disappears] before I even get it to my hair. It might add a little shine and a VERY LITTLE “combability”. It just doesn’t do much for my old, overprocessed hair.

This works for me mostly as a shine enhancer because of the olive oil in it, and it helps smooth my hair when it is damp. I think it works best with damp hair–the foam is easy to apply and comb through then. I don’t think it is a heaven duty conditioner though–but it’s fine when I just want some shine and smoothness. EDIT: I tried this when my hair (which is thick) was dry and very frizzy and it worked great. It smoothed the frizzies and looked even better after I brushed it–it is brushing foam, right? This is best for thick hair I think.
I also like the spray dispenser and per other complaints–foam is supposed to disappear after you rub it in!

Um, I don’t know what it is supposed to do… At first, I thought maybe it’s a leave-in-conditioner but I don’t think so. When the product dispensed, it comes out like a mousse (foam) that quickly disappears even before I have a chance to put it on my hair! Have promptly returned this.

I think this product is meant as a leave-in conditioner… I purchased two bottles as it was on sale at the time (it was just being launched and was rather cheap, and I’m always looking for a conditioning treatment for days when I keep my hair back). Both bottles were dented when they arrived. It dispenses as a nice light foam which I finger comb through my long damaged hair after towel drying. It does provide a fair amount of moisturization but nothing spectacular. I do like it as it keeps the frizz down a bit. But I probably won’t repurchase, as there are many better products out there.
