So far this is the best I have tried.
All the other well-known brand names have all been a dud for me.
H&S makes my scalp so much worse.
This works really well I just wish the bottle was a little bigger so it would last longer.
There is no terrible scent which is a huge plus.
My hair is left clean and not tried out like others in the past.

Good shampoo for a dry, itchy scalp. Contains 3% salicylic acid, Zinc and vitamin B5. Massage into scalp and leave on for 3-5 minutes for best results. This reduces flaking and helps to stop the itch. As a shampoo, this does leave my hair feeling stripped and dry, but most medicated shampoos do this to me. This works similar to Neutrogena T/Sal but I really do think I like this one much better. I do like to alternate this product with a zinc-based shampoo for best results. Fragrance free.

This is a case of YMMV. I go through occasional bouts of what I think is seborrheic dermatitis: itching and serious flaking on my scalp, inside my ears, and under my eyebrows. After the most recent cycle, I tried this shampoo and did not have the same good results that most reviewers have had. My flaking got worse over the three times I used it. Also, it dried the holy heck out of my hair, to the point where it looked like straw despite using very moisturizing conditioner and at one point saturating my hair with Weleda’s Rosemary Hair Oil overnight before washing the next morning. Now that I’ve switched to Nizoral, the flaking is much better after one wash, and the dryness isn’t nearly as bad. If this doesn’t work for you, try Nizoral–it may help.

I have suffered from Psoriasis for years and it is in the worst place off all – My Scalp! The psoriasis makes my head very itchy and irrated, especially if I’ve used a highly scented shampoo. My psoriasis also has creeped up to my hairline on to my forehead which I find very embarrassing.Since I’ve used this shampoo it has disappeared, YAYY! 🙂 My psoriasis certainly has not disappeared throughout my scalp (which is why I gave the four star rating) but it is definitely a lot better than what it was. I don’t use this shampoo everyday though, just every other day and I have to use a little bit of conditioner besides the conditioner that comes in this shampoo. There is not much of a scent on this shampoo, which is a good thing. I was imagining a tar kinda smell, thankfully, it doesn’t smell like much at all. Anyways, I would definitely recommend this shampoo and I plan on buying it again. 🙂

I have been using this for the past year as a body wash almost exclusively except in the dead of winter when I need something mild and more moisturizing. It contains 3% Salicylic acid and a zinc complex. Used in conjunction with a salux cloth I no longer have any skin bumps (KP). I have sensitive skin, which will develop red angry skin rashes at the slightest provocation. I believe the zinc in this calms my skin. The best part about it, it leave my skin soo soft 🙂

My daughter has eczema and accompanying cradle cap. This works miracles on it! I agree with the review that mentioned massive flakes at first but after a couple of washes, her scalp is settling back down. Great stuff.

I bought this for my husband, who has seborrheic dermatitis. He goes through many shampoos to try and help his scalp from itching and red irritations from recurring. He used this two times a week as directed on the box for over a month. It did nothing but increase the irritation on his scalp and he formed huge red irritations that flaked constantly. His hair was also very oily while using this. It never improved with use, just made his condition worse. He’s since changed shampoos and it’s beginning to clear up. Out of the dozens and dozens of shampoos he’s tried, this ranked as worst.

I get psoriasis on my face and scalp. I used to think I had dandruff but I was wrong, it was psoriasis. This is the only shampoo that works for it, I really get it along my hair line the most so I use it there and then use my regular shampoo. You can tell a difference after the first time, the scaling stops with continued use. I’ll continue to buy this.

This product is not only good as a shampoo, but as a body was too.
I do an all over treatment a couple times a month. It really breaks down the dry skin gently.

I have finally found a gentle, non drying shampoo that treats winter dandruff!
PROS: (1) preservative free (2) Scent free- it does not have a horrible stench, like cheap cologne unlike most other treatments (3) Dye free, it is a clear shampoo with surprising moisture quality (4) does not dry out my hair or leave nasty build up (5) 3.0% Salicylic acid for optimum results (6) very gentle on my scalp
CONS (1) difficult to fully rinse out, this is easier to use in the bath where you can dunk your head under water. (2)with extensive use, it lead to over conditioning my hair. However, I eventually only needed to use it once to twice a week to keep my scalp clear therefore it was a temporary issue. (3) after the first and second use it really makes your scalp shed and scale, it was so gross! At first I thought it was not working, but after the third and fourth try my dandruff was pretty much gone.
Overall, this is the best treatment I have ever found for stubborn dandruff. I had my worst case of it this year, I was so embarrassed that if I wore a head band, flakes would appear, or if I wore a dark shirt, the evidence would fall on my shoulders. Other shampoos such as head and shoulders, and the dreaded Selsun Blue were too harsh. This one is very ideal for sensitive skin types and any hair type. For me it took about a week to get full results. It was easy for me to maintain my results by using it once or twice a week. Once winter passes this awful pesky dandruff will finally go away, but until then, this is awesome.
Happy Shopping!
