Packaging : Bioaqua is made in China which is famous for skin and hair care. A 500g hair mask in a plastic tub (black cover and yellow tub) which is of moderate quality, like other brands’ hair mask. For hygiene purpose, the hair mask is sealed with aluminium foil which you need to peel it off before using. I have no complaint about the packaging as it is not too big that needs much space in bathroom.
Price : Cheap and very very reasonable for a 500g hair mask. Unlike other brands, a 200ml hair mask can easily cost a fortune. So there is a reason of using it more since the price is cheap and no guilty of overdose application or stingy usage.
Texture : Thick, rich and creamy hair mask in golden yellowish colour. Easy to spread on wet hair and give instant smoothness effect, most properly is because of the ingredients of avocado and ginger. A scoop with 4 fingers into the tub is sufficient for my below shoulder length hair. Definitely not a watery and light hair mask which some of the brands out there, their hair masks are almost similar to their hair conditioners.
Scent : I am not a huge fans of the scent – gingery with citrus-y lemon smell which is quite strong and lingers throughout the day. I cannot really ignore how it smells like, but this is a ginger hair mask, what more I can expect/complain on the ginger smell?
Verdict : With a combination of the hair mask and its matching shampoo, it gives a smooth effect to my dry and frizzy Asian hair. Ginger is a well know plant in Chinese community for creation of better blood circulation (on scalp in this case) and works effectively to prevent hair fall. During the first few times of using, you can feel that the back of your neck has a minor burning feeling because of this product. But you do not have to worry about that unless you have sensitive skin. Otherwise, it will turn out fine. One more tip, avoid getting the product into your eyes when you rinse it off. It burns and hurts your eyes a little and wash off with water should be fine. But I am a little disappointed as it does not really help in calming my frizzy hair as they reactivate the next day and the end of my hair is still dry. I so hope that it will work for my hair, well, it ends up doing quite a decent job, but not something excellent or ‘wow’ kind of effective. Give it a try if you happen to see this product in you living country.
