Not a very good deep-conditioning mask. Would be fine as a regular conditioner. SMELLS AMAZING. Leaves hair decently soft but nothing to write home about. I’ve had better.

Good product but I’m not in love with it. I remember purchasing it because the tub packaging and advertising made it seem like this would be One n Only’s deepest conditioning product.
And while it is not bad per se, I can say with confidence that I prefer their Restorative Mask instead. The Restorative Mask is in a tube packing yet is MUCH thicker than the Hydrating Mask.
My hair is waist length, bleached, and in decent condition thanks to Olaplex. If I’m going to pay extra for a deep conditioning treatment, I’d go for the Restorative Mask instead. The Hydrating Mask is nothing ground breaking to me.
I never repurchased this.

I wanted to love this stuff but it was so drying to my hair and seems useless. I got this at Sally Beauty on sale, a buy 2 get 1 free deal. I loved the smell but then after the smell started to dissipate, it took on a plastic smell which is odd because the other 2 products in this same line do not fade away to a plastic smell (I got the curl cream and the conditioner in this same line and these other 2 products are awful too, fwiw).
When I applied this, it wasn’t like I was apply a conditioner, or even a deep conditioner, it went into my hair as if I was trying to apply a glob of pomade as a deep conditioner, not good. And I had to apply a tonne of product because it felt like nothing was actually being applied to my hair. Is this just scented beeswax?! Cause the texture reminds me of straight up wax.
When I went to rinse, there was nothing really to rinse. My hair felt dry instantly the moment this stuff touched my hair but got worse when I tried to rinse. My hair tangled up and was snarly when I was rinsing it. I couldn’t get my fingers through my hair in the shower, it was as if I had applied pure wax to my hair, it was an awful experience, the worst experience I’ve had with a deep conditioner.
When I got out of the shower, I applied my spray leave-in conditioner and I couldn’t get my fingers through my hair as I sprayed it, tried a wide tooth comb and still couldn’t, so I had to have my dh get the snarls out with his fingers (I have a bad back and an old shoulder injury that flares up often, which is why he helped me).
Not wanting to be wasteful, I tried this crap 2 other times (writing this review has me feeling pissed, my poor hair!) and the same effect happened: dry, snarly, knotted hair that I couldn’t get a comb or fingers through. I also tried this on my son’s hair that is short and curly and it dried his hair out and left his scalp itchy.
Into the bin this crap went! I should have returned all of the One ‘n Only Argan Oil line I bought when I had the chance but being the person I am, I always want to give seconds chances, even to products that proved to be horrible the first time around. Now I’m left with products wasted by chucking them in the bin, money blown down the drain.
Avoid this line at all costs but if you want to try it out, try samples first if you can find them or save your receipt that way you can return if you hate it.
After reading the positive reviews on here, I do wonder if the formula may have been changed or if i got a dud? Either way I will not buy again. This was such a horrible experience for my hair.
The other 2 products i got with this stuff were the conditioner and the curl cream, both of them suck and are useless too but YMMV. Tread with caution when trying out this line.

This left my hair feeling so soft and healthy when it is so damaged. I really amazed my hair feels this good from the first usage I like it better than the restorative in that I get immediate results with this. My hair is butter soft and my hair is waist length, dry, and wavy this gives me smooth soft waves. I do add the curl cream from this brand and I use the oil spray. I love the whole Argan line because it’s gives my hair the moisture it needs. My hair was crunchy from bleaching before this product. I have bleached and toned so my hair has damage and this makes it feel like it never happened.
I buy mine at sallys they had a buy 2 get 1 free deal so I was stoked to get this, the curl cream, and oil as I do not use heat in my hair these products works great for me. I really like this brand and I love the scent. To me it smells so good like a musk oil of some type. I guess it is similar to morrocanoil the brand but I get better results with the one n only brand. I apply this and leave it in min 10 minutes to a few hours. I just pop it up in a bun. This really repairs or helps the damage I ravage on my hair. Recommended. 🙂

Currently going through a bad hair phase, thyroid issues, breakage and this dry winter weather is not helping. Went to the store to pick up my usual Restorative mask and saw the Hydrating mask instead and had to give it a try. Having used this product couple of times now, think its time to review.Very happy that I tried this, consistency, scent of both the masks are very similar. This mask applies like butter and very easy to wash off. I leave it on for 10 mins and hair feels soft while rinsing. Whenever I use the Restorative mask, I have to spend extra time trying to rinse it off and in that process loose more hair. Hydrating mask washes off very easily which I love. When rinsing of this product my hair feels soft and nourished. Spray some One N Only Argan oil spray treatment and my hair is happy. The One N Only thing I don’t like about this product is, it comes in a tub and not a tube. I love this product so much, thinking about using this twice a week and skipping regular conditioner.

If you love your hair, you will love this product. This hair mask is a life saver for anyone who has dry brittle hair, or for anyone who just wants to keep their mane healthy.
The price is great, considering this is a pot of gold. I buy mine at Sally’s, and it lasts a long time so you get a good value for your money.
I use this mask about once a week. After I have shampooed my hair, I put in a little of my normal conditioner all over my hair, then I add a liberal amount of this mask to my ends, while applying just a very little bit to my roots. I leave this on for between five to ten minutes and rinse. It leaves hair looking shiny, glossy, smooth, and healthy.
It performs like a high end salon product, with out the high end salon price tag!

READ THIS IF YOU HAVE CURLY, THICK, AND DRY HAIR. This product has been the best thing that has ever happened to my hair. My hair has always been dry, tangly, and basically a bird’s nest. I have curly hair and it is very, very thick. So it’s too much to maintain. Recently I had gotten low lights and the lady who had done it bleached my hair first and added a toner. The bleach caused my hair to be extremely brittle, rough, and even more dry. So one day I’m at Ulta looking at sea salt sprays, curling sculptors, etc. and the lady who works there asked me if I needed help and I was asking her if I should go with a sea salt spray or a curling sculptor and she took a look at my hair and was like neither. She noted how dry my hair looked and recommended me to this product. Now I really need to go back to that store and thank her a thousand times.
I’ve used this for three weeks now, once per week after I shampoo and condition. I also happen to shower my hair once a week because that was what has been recommended for me with my type of hair. Yes, please only use this product ONCE a week. Third week in and my hair feels so much softer, silkier, SHINY and not as dry / brittle. My hair has never been like this before when it’s dry. I’m just really happy:)
However the first week I used it, I saw some improvement, so that is why it’s important to continue use of this product so you can see improvement over time.
HOW THE PRODUCT IS LIKE AND HOW I USE IT:
Smell: the scent is amazing! It smells like the actual Moroccan oil and lasts pretty well on my hair throughout the week.
It’s packaging: it’s kept inside a circular container, has a lot that can last me for weeks or maybe months. Depends on how you put. I don’t waste too much of it.
The price: It may be kind of pricy to some. I had bought this from Ulta with some promotions I had that had lowered the price so hopefully you can find those too.
How I apply it: after I’m out of the shower, I use my finger tips to scoop some and just massage the ends of my hair. I don’t apply it near the roots of my hair, but some does end up getting near it by accident. After massaging it, I just clip my hair up and wait 30 minutes, since my hair is really thick. Then I rinse it off with cool water, wrap a towel around my hair, wait for it to dry a little, and braid it 🙂
This is the first time I’ve ever made a review over a product, and I’ve only used it three times. My hair still has some fly aways (where some hairs stick out), can still get tangly, and sometimes a little brittle because of the bleach, and I still need to use some other products to protect my hair from the sun and to style it, but this product has done what it says on it’s label and has made a huge difference to my hair.

This is hands down the best deep conditioner I’ve ever used. I have thick curly natural hair and this product does a really good job of moisturizing my hair, smells great and is lightweight. I use it every two weeks. It’s a bit pricey, but it definitely works wonders!

This is a light-weight conditioner that does a good job of hydrating without weighing hair down. It is a good recommendation for color-treated hair that has been exposed to peroxide, and is barely scented. Just as One ‘n Only Argan Oil shampoo has very little Argan Oil, neither does this. However, color-treated hair needs moisture instead of oil so this does not make the product inferior.

The sales rep at Sally’s recommended that I use this after coloring my hair with Wella Color Charm and a 30% volume developer. I left the color on 40 minutes and my hair felt pretty fried after rinsing it off. I shampooed as usual and then massaged a generous amount of the hydrating mask into my hair and on on my scalp. I left it on for about 10 minutes and then rinsed it off. My hair felt and smelled wonderful afterward. It didn’t have the usual squeaky, crunchy, over processed, after color feel or look. Rather,my hair is shiny and full of body rather than limp or over conditioned like some deep conditioners tend to leave it. I will certainly be purchasing this product again.

I have very long, somewhat layered, naturally curly, normal to thick, colored hair. I picked this up on a whim since I like the Argan Oil by this brand. I use it once a week after I use Terax Latte shampoo which strips away excess build-up of products and I use it after I color my hair with One n’ Only Argan hair color. This stuff is wonderful. I slather a generous amount on and let it sit on my hair while I finish my shower routine, then rinse off. My hair is always so soft and silky and extra curly and the scent is pleasant (which migraines trigger with me due to scent so I have to be careful). PROS: product does what it states and hydrates my hair, pleasant scent that doesn’t trigger migraines, leaves hair soft/silky/shiny, reduces tangles, could be easier to use in the shower because you have to screw off a lid and screw it back on or set the container somewhere where water won’t run into it but overall, I like the container because it allows you to get EVERY bit of the product out,. CONS: container can be a pain (see above), price is a bit high but the product does last me a while and I slather on a lot each week (around 4 tablespoonfuls or 1/4 cup if I had to guess), location of purchasing product (I don’t live near a Sally’s and that is the only place I’ve found this so I have to either drive over 60 miles out of my way or have it shipped to me).

This product was fantastic. In my opinion it’s not as good as Macadamia. But for the price very good! The mask isn’t heavy or greasy. It leaves your hair soft and frizz free. I like that it doesn’t appear greasy and doesn’t weight your hair down! I will be repurchasing!
