Like most people, I’ve always used a terrycloth towel to dry/wrap my hair after shampooing. But I was at Marshall’s the other day and saw several different Aquis towels and turbans and decided to try this model, with a button and loop to hold the “toweling” in place (no more towels falling off when I bend over to pick up something). I think I paid $14 for it and really wasn’t expecting much. WOW, was I ever wrong, and pleasantly surprised. My hair is above shoulder length and very thick and very prone to frizz (it was the “reduces frizz” promise on the package that swayed me to try this). I left my hair wrapped for maybe 5 minutes and when I removed the turban, I was really surprised by how different my hair looked. Usually, when I take it out of a towel to dry it or let it air dry a bit on its own before assaulting it with both blow dryer and flat iron, it looks rough and messy but when I removed the Aquis towel, my hair looked smoother and “neater” and it was much drier than with a traditional towel. I am amazed and really pleased with the results and plan to try letting my hair stay in the turban longer to see what the effect is. This come packaged in a sturdy plastic zip lock type of bag – the sort you could use for air travel or just to keep products from leaking in your luggage. I plan to purchase another one or two of these or perhaps even the plain, rectangular towel of the same material and I also plan to pick up a few of these to give as gifts to some friends.
