   Ok, I have fine, brown, asian hair (meaning it’s typically pretty straight, but since I also have heavily layered hair and the ends are thinner than the top, I was worried it would make me look like a triangle-head, which is the effect I sometimes get when using a curling iron on the top layers of my hair).

   HOWEVER, this product is pretty amazing. I doubted it but it truly works. After I used it for one day, the curls lasted for the next two days (with use of dry shampoo, and no real water on the head). Actually, to clarify, on the last day it was more WAVES than actually curls, but I still loved the mussed, bed-head look. It took me 2 tries to finally “master” the curls, or at least how I wanted them to look. One word of advice, if you want your curls to hold longer, use it on more wet than dry hair. Once I tried it with dry hair that i spritzed with a water bottle so that it would be damp, and the curls didn’t latch as well as it does when I use a pretty soaked curl. It worked REALLY well for my layered hair, as the beachy waves on the top layers blended in with the beachy bottoms, as opposed to when I use a curling iron and the stiff ringlets of the top layers are clearly separate from the ends of my hair. YUCK! I do like to throw in some small loose curls from an actual curling iron sometimes just to break up the uniformity of the direction of these beachy curls.

   I don’t generally blow dry my hair so I couldn’t comment on the quality of the Remington used for blowdrying alone. I got mine at target, it’s not sold as the Remington Emi Airwave, it’s sold as Remington 3-in-1 or something of the like. I wouldn’t have noticed the included wave attachment had I not been looking intently for it. The hairdryer is a light blue color and the tunnel attachment that I snapped in was translucent

   All in all, I definitely say BUY. .

   Best invention since the GHD! I never blow dried my hair because they would become a huge puffy dry mess. My hair is bra length, very coarse and frizzy but naturally wavy. The waves were uneven when I air dried my hair and during the winter months I had to plan the day to wash my hair because it would need 5-6 hours to fully dry on its own! Now its 30 minutes tops!And my hair is soft, manageable and in lovely even waves without frizz!I am in LOVE!Wish I had bought this earlier!I dont know how it would work for people with straight hair but for anyone with a similar hair type to mine, this is godsend!

   What a surprise…..a hair dryer that actually DOES make my hair curl. Shocking. I bought this on a “well, I’ll try it and see” whim, thinking I would have to return it. Ha. Could not find it in any stores, so had to order online. The dryer has a sort of little tunnel with two open ends attached to it. Putting a small amount of hair into one end, the dryer actually twists it and give me a “beach curl” wave look. I should note that my hair is down to my bra in the back, so it’s pretty long. And this works on it. I don’t think length of hair is a huge factor, but it may be somewhat of a factor. I don’t use much stuff on my hair, just some Allafia shea butter leave-on treatment and Peter Lamas mousse — and it worked perfectly with the dryer. The instructions say “one inch pieces of hair” but I could easily but somewhat larger pieces into the tunnel. And I found that if I did the top layer I really didn’t need to do too much with the underneath part of my hair. This is beyond HG status — if you want “beach curls” this is IT……!!!!!

   Picked this dryer up at Winners for 19.99 without knowing anything about it, thought for the price I would try it and if I wasnt satisfied I could return it. I was pleasantly surprised, this is a great dryer not only for the price but overall. It blows great, good heat and good cooling mechanism. The airwave function is just an added bonus, I’ve tried it once but it worked nicely to create waves, will probably try again for a weekend look, as I am a big fan of beachy hair, but I just cant wear it for work. For sure worth the price IMO, best dryer I have owned. For reference, I have long medium-thick wavyish hair.

   I really love this hair dryer. I have layered bob- a little longer then chin length. This dryer has a “wind tunnel” attachment that twists your hair as it is drying it. Here is what I do:
   1) towel dry my hair
   2) use Victoria’s Secret wave enhancing spray
   3) comb my hair out and twist sections to put into the wind tunnel attachment- the instructions recommend 1″ sections.
   4) move the dryer up and down the shaft of your hair a few times, then hit the coolshot button to ‘set’ it. move on to the next section.
   5) I spray my whole head with hairspray then use my fingers to seperate. You end up with beachy waves. I sometimes follow with shine mist.
   I still wear my hair straight sometimes, but I am loving the beachy waves for summer!
   I got my EMI dryer at Target for $22.99. Today I saw an EMI flat iron I might try next!

   This is a hair dryer, with an attachment to make your hair wavy.

   I have always been trying to have wavy hair…i’ve done braids, and twists, and knots and curling to try to get that perfect wavy, beachy look. This blow dryer, used with the “airwave” attachment, has been the best tool to get me to that state. It definitely does work to give you wavy locks.

   i have chin length, naturally straight, slightly thick hair. To use this blow dryer, you snap on an attachment, which is essentially a big tube like apparatus. You then turn on the blow dryer and feed a little section (they suggest about 1″ wide) of damp hair into the tube. Once in the tube, it is both dried and twisted simultaneously. You are also supposed to move the dryer up and down so it can dry and twist the entire length of the section.

   Once it is dried, it will be a twisted little rope, and you leave it there, and proceed to the next section. After they are all done and cool, you can finger separate them to make wavy, tousled hair.

   I would say it definitely works, but the waves are a little subtle. Not in your face curly waves, but beachy, mussed up, loose waves.

   Some notes from my personal experience:
   I have shorter hair, and it can still work with short hair. One issue I had though, was that your scalp gets hot if you have to hold it closer to your head! I also didn’t put any product in my hair, so I’m not sure if that would have made it more wavy. I’m also a little concerned about heat damage, so I might use a heat protectant next time. It dries hair pretty fast, but you have to clip up sections of your hair, and you can only do small sections, so it takes a little time to go all the way around your head. Maybe 15 minutes on my short hair. Obviously, if you towel dry your hair, and maybe blow dry it a little bit before you do the wave attachment, it will dry faster.

   Also, since my hair is so short, i had to be careful about how far I moved the dryer up and down the strands…if i moved it too much, the section would fall out. Finally, it says it doesn’t tangle, but i did have some tangly areas. maybe because the strands were too short, and they fell out of the tube midway. And when I put them back in, the twist might have been re-twisted in a different way.

   The airwave attachment just snaps in, but it was a little difficult to snap it on and off. I’ll have to see how long it lasts…i hope it doesn’t break. It felt pretty sturdy, though. It also comes with a concentrator attachment, but I didn’t use that yet.

   As a hair dryer, its a pretty nice standard dryer. It is 1875 watts or whatever, and has 2 heats, and 3 speeds. Plus a cool shot button. The cool shot button seemed to take a while to turn to cool air, though. It supposedly has ionic ceramic and anti-frizz…can’t say if that helped or not, because i don’t have very frizzy hair.

   All in all, its a nice basic dryer to have, especially if you would like to have the option of making waves. The wave attachment makes it a very good value. I think it costs about $24-$30 and I found it at Target. I’ve also seen it on drugstore.com and amazon.com
