   I have had these for years, & they continue to invaluable.
   I have fine wavy hair; Unfortunatley I have to heat style to either straighten or curl, air drying gives me very blah results.

   * I use a set of all larger rollers- I ended up with 2 sets of these rollers and put all of the larger ones in my set – the small were too small for my just below shoulder length hair

   I dry my hair straight (ish) then put these on using butterfly clips (not the “pins” that come with the set). Spray my rolled hair with hairspray, then do my makeup, body lotion etc. I leave these in at least 20 min, typically more (30-45). They are light feeling and the clips keep them secure so it’s the easiest way of doing my hair if I want volume or curls.

   1 set almost does my whole head if I use big sections of hair on each roller. Leaves my hair super shiny looking with lasting volume /curl . Wish the set included another 2-4 rollers but still recommend!

   I will preface my review by a description of my hair: very, very long (to my hips) with natural spiral curls (Type 3A/B, for those who care). While it may sound bizarre for a person like me to want to use hot rollers in their naturally curly hair, I do have a logical reason. Using hot rollers changes my curl pattern from a long spiral-type curl to more of a big, bouncy and looser curl. Although I do enjoy wearing my hair in its natural state, sometimes I want large “glamorous” curls instead. These Remington Ceramic rollers give me exactly the kinds of curls I’ve been hoping for! Since I do have quite a bit of hair, I knew that one set of these rollers would not be enough. I saw them at Target, and purchased the only two sets in stock, and for basically the same price as Amazon.

   There are three reasons I purchased these hot rollers:
   1. They are ceramic rollers WITHOUT the velvet flocking that so many rollers seem to have. My hair does not hold curl when I use flocked rollers. Flocking also seems to act like Velcro to my hair, whereby the smooth-surface rollers like these are much easier to remove without tangling my very long hair.
   2. These rollers come with the U-shaped wire pins instead of those dreadful butterfly clips. The wire pins never crease my hair, whereas butterfly clips inevitably do.
   3. The set is compact and portable for travel, and the soft case has pockets for storing the wire pins. I’m amazed at how many hot roller sets on the market no longer provide storage for their corresponding clips or pins.

   As for the rollers, there are ten in a set. The five larger rollers are 1.25″ in diameter, and the five smaller rollers are 1″ in diameter. I find it best to allow the rollers to heat for approximately 5 minutes minimum, despite the manufacturer suggestion of 90 seconds. Before using the rollers, I wash my hair and allow it to dry naturally, while occasionally brushing it to discourage my own natural curls from forming. Once my hair is completely dry, I apply a heat-protectant spray, brush through, then a light coating of an anti-humidity hairspray. Around my face and on the crown of my head, I use all of the smaller rollers from both sets I purchased. For the remainder of my hair on the sides and back, I use all of the larger rollers from both sets. The ends of the rollers are perfectly comfortable to the touch, and I never burn my fingertips like some rollers can cause. I’ve had no difficulty with the wire pins, and they slide into position nicely, holding the rollers exactly where I place them. Once the rollers are in place, all twenty of them from the two sets I bought, they are quite heavy. Most people will use only one set, so the weight should not be an issue. Allowing for cooling time, I’ve been leaving the rollers in position for around 25-30 minutes, but again, I do have a lot of very long hair. After the rollers have cooled, I begin unwinding. These curlers do not get tangled in my hair, and the resulting curls are nicely formed. I find it best to wait a couple of minutes after removing all the rollers before I start touching my curls. I then spray with another mist of anti-humidity hairspray, bend forward at the waist, and lightly tousle my hair at the scalp. The curls loosen up a bit, and I’m left with healthy-looking hair that requires no further styling. The curls last into the next day! I hope you will love these hot rollers as much as I do. They have taken the place of my previous sets.
