I bought this dryer based off of the positive reviews. I think it works just as well as the Dyson dryer. I would repurchase.

I’ve had this hair dryer for 7 years and is stI’ll going strong. I’ve dropped this dryer on tile too many times to count…and i’m surprised it still works! Drys hair fast and hair comes out smooth. I’ve used other high end dryers for travel… none come close to drying and finished look like this one does. Only downside is its heavy and difficult to travel with…I just ended up buying larger luggage. This is my HG! Will repurchase if it ever breaks.

I have had this product for 11 years and it’s awesome! Just today I heard the motor make weird sounds and it’s starting to age I figured, but it readjusted itself and is fine. I’ll keep using it till it dies. But Elchim gives a lifetime warranty, so the money you spend it well worth it. If Elchim can’t repair this baby, I’m definitely buying another one!

After years of buying hairdryers at Costco or Walmart, I popped for an Elchim. So glad I did.
I have the Uragano Ionic, which is about 6 years old. Elchim is a company that gives a lifetime warranty on their products. This means the $120 you pay, will be backed up. I have had it worked on once for the shipping cost of $18. They put in a new motor. Granted this was after four years of about daily use.
Prior to that I would go through one blow dryer a year.
So our family now has three of these guys and I won’t buy any other brand.
It dries my shoulder length medium thick fine hair in about 10 minutes and seems to reduce the frying. It has multiple temperature settings which I use.
Great product.

Yes this is as good as everyone says. I’ve been using ionic dryers for a few years and no wonder I’ve battled with limp hair all this time. What a difference this dryer makes for my fine hair! I bought the diffused to go with and I’m a happy camper. BUY IT!

Somebody PLEASE help me! I live in the UK and I have purchased the Elchim 2001 professional hair dryer and I’m aware that I need to buy some sort of stepdown transformer in order for it to work. Has anybody in the UK ever been in my situation, if so, which transformer did you buy and where did you purchase it from? I really want to get it working asap! OR Is there anyone who has purchased the Elchim 2001 hair dryer from inside the UK, if so, pleeease give me the website address and I can return my USA Elchim purchased from Amazon asap. Thank you very much xxxxx

I have had this dryer for about 6 years now and it has been fantastic. The only problem I have with it is a clip where the removeable filter locks on broke off and now I have it taped on. Originally it came with two different filters but I can no longer find the original box and I am sure that is where the other filter is. It is extremely important to keep your filter clean especially with a high velocity dryer like this one.
I have thick medium length curly hair which I straighten. I section my hair with rollers and dry each section with a vented round brush then with a round boar bristle brush and have no need to use an iron. I am still amazed at how fast and efficent this dryer is. After I finish drying I blow my hair all over with the cool setting just to make certain it is completely dried and to just cool it down.
I have often wondered if some of these newer ion, tourmaline etc dryers are a lot better but after reading many of the reviews on here I doubt I could do better. I agree with others it is a little weighty but I figure it’s a like a little arm workout while I dry my hair!

I have fine, frizzy, wavy hair, up to my shoulders. I have had this dryer for 2 years. It takes me 5 min to dry my hair, and it dries pretty straight that I spend less time using my straightener, 5-15 min depending on the style. I used to have to spend more time using the straightener to compensate for the dryer leaving my hair wavy. You will not be disappointed with this blow dryer, it’ll last you a long time.

I bought the Elchim 2001 dryer from Amazon for about $70. I am absolutely in love with this dryer! I’ve always used ionic dryers priced around $30, but picked this one up based on the MUA reviews. The quality is great! I can tell it is very well made of high quality materials. The dry time is AMAZING. The third heat setting is very, very hot, but is good if I’m in a rush, am setting with rollers, or if want my hair very straight. The middle heat setting is great for regular drying. It dries my hair in a fraction of the time, with far smoother results. The weight is okay, not as light as the T3, but lighter than many. The cord is very sturdy and thick. I’m very happy. I will update this review if I encounter any reliability or quality problems.

Got my dryer a few weeks ago, so thought I’d put it through its paces before adding my two cents. I. LOVE. IT. My old dryer wasn’t very good, the cold setting quit working eons ago, it took forever to get my hair dry. The Elchim is a little bit heavier, but not enough to be a problem. Drying my hair now takes probably half the time it used to. The hottest setting is really hot, so I don’t keep it there for very long. The coldest is actually cold, which is nice. I would absolutely buy this dryer again.
