I used the type in the tube with the maroon stripe (extra strength). Before using this I did a patch test, and was fine. This removed nearly all of my hair in my bikini area in 7 minutes. You must apply it generously, however. Easier than shaving; I put it on, did my pre shower ablutions for 7 minutes, jumped in the shower and washed it off. I did use Balmex afterwards to ward off any irritation (and didn’t have any). Doesn’t smell as bad as some depilatories I have used in the past. It feels like there is menthol in it, as there is something of a cooling sensation (but it is not listed in the ingredients). Price is very reasonable. Can be difficult to squeeze out of the tube, hence the lower lippie for packaging.

This stuff is amazing! So much better than nair. First go leaves almost perfectly smooth/ non irritated skin. ( I use it in the bikini area) after another day or two- one more use leaves you Brazilian bare!!! So easy and not as noxious smelling as its competitors. Highly recommend

I use this product as an alternative to shaving or waxing my nether region. I leave it on for 10 minutes and although there is a cool burning sensation, it leaves no irritation! Just smooth and soft hairless skin!

7 minutes only took off approx 80% of leg hair, did remove all bikini area hair but left a nasty chemical burn (and yes I should have done a patch test, but have never had a problem w/ other hair removal products in that area – live and learn I guess). Doesn’t smell nearly as strong as other similar products. If it had effectively removed all my leg hair, I would consider repurchasing and only use on my legs. But since it wasn’t effective enough for me, I won’t re-purchase.

I am female and I use this as an alternative for waxing *down there*. Waxing is super expensive here in the UK so I was looking for an alternative and came across this. I wasn’t expecting much to be honest, considering how I’ve never had success with hair removal creams. But I thought what the heck, for this price why not? Boy am I glad I did.
I used it on dry skin, before I stepped into the shower. I applied a thick even layer over the whole area and even around the anal region and kept my fingers crossed while waiting out the 7 minutes…( yes I waited out the full allowed time). I must say I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t have the horrid overpowering smell most removal creams do ( I used the light fresh scent one) and it had a cool menthol feel which wasn’t at all unpleasant. No itching or irritation after a few minutes like I had with Veet. So I thought it was mild and wondered how effective it might be.
After the 7 minutes, I used a very damp washcloth to wipe it off in the shower and to my surprise clumps and clumps of hair came off easily ( yes…I have been a lazy girl) Since there was *quite* a bit of hair…not all came off. So I waited the 24 hours and repeated the procedure and voila, everything else came off. Its really easy and only takes 7 minutes, comes off so easily. Its of course not as perfectly smooth as waxing but it gives the same results as careful shaving, without the hassle, the nick and cuts, razor burns, ingrown hairs or irritation. I just slathered on sudocrem after and that’s it…no irritation whatsoever and I am prone to psoriasis! I am so happy to have found an alternative to shaving and will be throwing out my razors! yay!!
Ladies, if men can use it on their faces, then I say its safe for us too 😉

Great product. I have major razor burn and razor bump issues. this product leaves my face smooth, and is way better than shaving.

The product I’m reviewing is the Softsheen Carson Magic Razorless Cream Shave. I’m clarifying this because I’m seeing some reviews in this section on the powder version. I was originally looking for the powder, because of the fantastic reviews I read on here and also on Amazon. I was really looking for the skin conditioning powder version, because I have very fair and sensitive skin, but couldn’t find it in any of the stores in my area.
I came across the Razorless Cream Shave at my local Rite Aid. I figured I’d give this a shot, although some of the reviewers on here said it doesn’t work as well on them as the powder. However, I figured this version would be easier and less messy than trying to mix up the powder, and also if it didn’t work well, I could still try the powder.
It comes in a 6 oz squeeze tube, the same kind of tube like you find many hand and body lotions in. The cost was between $3-4. I can’t remember the exact cost because I threw the receipt away. I tried a spot on my leg first (with about a week’s growth), to test for reaction. I left it on for about 6 minutes (the directions say 6-9 min). I wiped it off with a warm damp rag, and it was smooth as a whistle, and no reaction after a couple of hours.
Later that night, I decided to be brave and use it “down there”. Let me preface by saying that I have naturally blonde, fairly fine hair, but I had about a month’s growth so it was pretty hairy down there (Hey, it’s winter and I’m single..lol). I have never used another depilatory in that area and I usually shave there. However, shaving down there always leaves me with razor bumps and burn and I always have a hard time getting all the hair, and wind up irritating my skin going over and over it with the razor. I’ve also tried professional waxing, and it left me with horrible red bumps that made me look like I had some sort of disease, not to mention the pain.
I smeared it on with my hands in kind of a thin layer and let it sit for about 6 minutes. I then got in the shower and just wiped it off with the same rag I used earlier for my leg. I was amazed at the amount of hair that came off. I’d say it removed about 90% of the growth I had. I waited a couple of days and used it again, this time using a thicker layer and leaving it on for 10 minutes. This time, all of it was removed, leaving me smooth and bare. No irritation, no bumps, no pain, just baby soft smooth skin.
The only reason I am taking off a lippie is because of the smell. It STINKS a LOT. It has a very strong and horrible odor, but I am willing to put up with it because of the amazing results. Besides, you only smell it for 10 minutes then you wash it off and it’s gone.
I LOVE this stuff and will definitely be using it for as long as they continue to make it.

Nope. Did not work for me AT ALL.
I’m a wax gal but I thought I would give this a whirl for when I can’t make it to the spa. Granted, I’m Italian, I have fairly course hair… I would say this removed about 20% of the hair where I applied it.
Boo.

Does a good job at removing majority of hair, but it doesn’t remove all of it, a bit of stubble is left. Great thing though it really doesn’t irritate the skin-at all. I have pretty sensitive skin and other depilatories always irritate my skin bad and i only leave them on for about 7 mins. with this i left it on for about 10-15 mins and no harm done at all. So i wont repurchase just cause it doesn’t remove all the hair and the application is a pain in the butt, its a very messy application.

Okay this did NOT work! I didn’t figure it would but by the reviews I had to try it. I would have rated a ZERO but it wouldn’t let me.
