I saw a video with my favorite YouTube beauty guru using this product, so I thought I’d give it a try. It did not work as well as I thought it would. It pulled out a couple of hairs, but not the majority of them. It is not something I recommend. If I had to say one positive thing about it is it didn’t irritate my skin, but that’s about it.

I hope I am reviewing the right product. It is Sally Hansen Hair Remover Wax Strip Kit, but I believe the packaging is slightly different. However, I believe mine is meant for face and bikini area as well, so maybe the packaging just changed a little.
I used it on my upper lip and had no problem getting the hair off after warming the strip between the palms of my hands per the directions. It was more efficient than the microwave sugar wax, and much simpler to use.
However, the wax residue does not come off as easily as the microwave sugar wax does. I think I used a little of the finishing oil, and then washed my face. If I recall correctly it still felt a little tacky, but even though I’m sensitive to that type of thing it didn’t bother me. It was probably gone by the next day.
I may have tried using it a little between my brows and/or on the very far periphery, but these strips are not practical for the eye area as far as I can tell, because they are pre-waxed rectangles. I don’t know how I would use them on my brows without taking off half my eyebrow. I used to use the microwave sugar wax with the separate strips, which (a) could be cut more or less to size, and (b) don’t have wax applied to them (the wax goes on your brows). However, since I don’t have the patience for that product these days, I may have to be content to use this one on my lips and have “natural” looking brows.
I was also a little annoyed by the fact that half my strips will more or less go to waste. There are 17 double strips. Each double strip is two strips with the sticky sides together. Pretty much have to use both at once, and if I remember correctly, it only took one to do my upper lip. Just for the heck of it, I used the extra strip — and maybe even reused the first strip — on my legs to see how they would work. Too small to do the whole thing, but they worked well. If this comes in a larger size and I wanted to wax my legs, I wouldn’t hesitate to use it… with the caveat that it irritates the skin so I’d leave time for the redness to disappear. And there is the matter of the residue. Probably OK to do it the day before you need to.
I recommend these for the upper lip only. I think I’ve tried two of the three sizes and both were OK IIRC. But it’s possible the small ones are too small or the large were too large. Will try to remember to review this next time I use this product.

Okay so I had really coarse hair on my happy trail from shaving it and plucking it with tweezers. My happy trail began to get ingrown hairs and scars. Depilatory creams, shaving, and tweezing just seemed to make it worse. So I decided to try waxing. The box comes with plenty of medium/small strips and a couple of bigger sized strips for larger areas. On my stomach I used two medium/small ones to take off all the coarse that had grown in. One of the best things about this product that it is double sided, so you can use LESS and it is MORE value. So I began to use it and it took off my thick, coarse hair with ease. However, after my skin was highly irritated and stinging. The oil did not soothe it well and I don’t think it is very hygienic to only put oil on skin after wax. I think they should add alcohol to clean your skin as well after you put on the oil. So I will take 1 star off because of the irritation. Make sure you buy a product to soothe and clean your skin after waxing to help prevent ingrown hairs. Bottom line, if you have the same problem as me I highly recommend this. It will make your hair grow back finer and less noticeable to almost like peach fuzz.

Awful!! I seen great reviews so I tried it and it didn’t do the job. I used them on the light fine hair on my chin and did not work. I tried them on the hair between my eyebrows and didn’t work. I even tried a few times and still didn’t work.

This is amazing! I use it on my upper lip and it gets rid of my hair in under 2 minutes. Im a shy person so I don’t like going to the salon to get my upper lip done, so this is perfect that I can do it. However, I personally wouldn’t do my eyebrows with this because I’m afraid I’ll mess them up, I’ll leave that to the professionals hahaha

Might be OK for face but NOT for legs. It will take you 3 years.
Bought these for my Tween daughter to experiment with leg waxing (a leg wax here is 20 – 25 plus tip) but the strips are so small. Meant for face – maybe bikini or underarm but if you have coarse hair this won’t cut it.
Cheap and easy to use and relatively benign.
Comes with a teeny bottle of Azulene oil which our family dog promptly ate. Yuck.
Good in a pinch but no HG.

SO glad I discovered this product for my facial hair. I tried the various waxes in a microwaveable jar, with and without strips, and they were economical but too messy. (Also tried a stinky chemical product – once.) This product is neat and has no waste. It is very easy to use. As directed, I heat the strips between the palms of my hand. I do need to use tweezers for the coarse hairs on my chinny-chin-chin (LOL) but there aren’t many to worry about.
As with all other wax products, it irritates my skin, so I wash with soap and warm water to remove any residual wax, then apply generic hydrocortisone cream with aloe. This works better than the azulene oil for redness. If this is not enough, you can follow up with ice, but I never need that extra step.

Adore this stuff. Sometimes have to go back over it to grab some of the hair. I mainly use it for my upper lip. I heat the strip up with my hairdryer and wax away. Leave my skin red but as long as I wash my face afterwards, the redness goes away in about an hour and no little white heads. Very effective. Hair has been coming in lighter and finer. Price is excellent. Way cheaper than going to the salon.

I prefer wax strips to microwavable wax. I love the convenience though microwavable wax does a better job at getting rid of hair. This product gets rid of hair well. It hurts a lot though. I feel it hurts more than Veet strips. The upside is this strip has longer shelf life than Veet strip. The veet one will become useless if you left it sitting in the bottom drawer too long. Sally Hansen will remain useful even if it has been sitting in the bottom drawer all winter.

I’ll just come right out and say it – I have a very hairy face. Peach fuzz galore. It’s not dark, but it’s not exactly short and it can be noticable in certain types of light.
This is the first wax product I have used on my face (aside from a few eyebrow waxes at salons). I only waxed my upper lips, a small spot on my jawline, and a small spot on my cheek, just to see how my skin would react before waxing any further. It wasn’t too painful, it was very effective at removing all of the hairs, and the finishing oil left my skin feeling very soft.
HOWEVER… it irritated my skin and I experienced some minor itching. It left me with a few blotchy red spots that were slightly raised and a bit flakey. They gradually went away over the course of about a week. I have since read some tips on waxing, and will use a bit of powder to keep the wax from adhering too much to my skin the next time I try these strips.
