This product works really well at removing hair on your upper lip…a little too well. It’s very potent. The instructions, which aren’t printed on the tube (I’ll get to that later) say to do a test wipe after about 3 min to see if any hair comes off, and if not, to then to check at one minute intervals after that for a max of 10 min. When I only leave mine on for about 4-5 min, I get little blood spots on my lip. That’s right, it makes you bleed. But as far as effectiveness for removing hair, it works better than any other upper lip depilatory cream I’ve tried. It had better work since it costs over $20!
Also, the instructions are printed on the outside box but not on the tube itself. I kept the box for this reason, but months later (I hadn’t used the product in a while) I was wondering why I still had the box and threw it out. I later remembered why. On the tube it says you can also get the instructions online, but it’s kind of a pain. I feel like the instructions should be printed on the tube.
Overall it’s a pretty good product and it would make a good add-on item to your Sephora order to get free shipping or other discounts.

Like previous reviewers, this messed up my upper lip. It began to irritate my skin the second I put it on, it felt like a burning, but no worse than some chemical peels I’ve used so I kept it on. I have darker hair on my lip so I left it on for 5-7 minutes but no more than 10, as per the directions. When I took it off my upper lip was so red and raw and painful, I ended up icing for half an hour but it didn’t bring down the redness at all. This morning my upper lip is cracked and scabby. So gross, will be returning!

This products exactly what it says it does. Before you use please read the label and use with caution just like you would any depilatory cream. I don’t have sensitive skin at all but I use tons of AHAs and enzyme peels so it does leave the skin a little sensitive to this product. I only leave it on for less than a minute to a minute and grab very soft tissue and gently wipe off in the opposite direction of the hair growth. All the hair on my upper lip is gone this is only designed for finer facial hair not coarse hair. The coarser the hair the longer you got to leave it on. In the past I have had irritation from this product it was like a burn mustache but I used the product wrong and I didn’t read the instructions so you can’t really blame the product for something you did.

This product does exactly what it’s designed to do: eliminate the annoying upper lip fuzz. My hair doesn’t grow in heavy or thick on my upper lip, but every few months so I start to notice a bit too much fuzz for my liking. Although it’s very thin, I have dark hair, so if you’re looking really close you might be able to see it. I used to get it waxed when I got my eyebrows done, but it always irritated me and broke me out. I picked this up on a whim and couldn’t be more pleased. As far as the actual product goes, the difference between this and a generic hair removal cream or Nair isn’t super noticeable. I will say I find the smell of this hair removal cream to be the most mild, which is a plus since it’s being applied directly under your nose. What makes this so awesome is the tube / applicator. It’s a small little tube that can travel with you, the tip twists to lock / unlock in addition to a snap cap, the applicator tip is rubbery with little grips on one side and smooth on the other (smooth for applying, grips for wiping the product off when you’re cleaning up), and all you have to do is squeeze! I love that there is no fuss with application or removal, very quick and easy! The instructions are very specific and ask you to do a test patch and to not leave this on for more than ten minutes (although they recommend three). The first time I used this, I was an idiot and left it on for the full ten minutes (I based this time on my experience with Nair). This left me red for a day, as I have sensitive skin. This product is more potent than most hair removal creams, and the recommended three minutes isn’t far off. Five works perfectly for me, any longer and I’ll turn red. All the hair is gone, and the total process takes about seven minutes. I do this at night just in case any redness lingers, but I’ve never really had a problem with redness other than the very first use. Other reviewers complained about the size being small and the price being high…honestly, I think this tube will last me a year, maybe more. You don’t need much, and it’s designed for upper lip removal, which isn’t a lot of surface area. I like this stuff, gets the job done, and the applicator / packaging is very convenient and functional.

I’m a little shocked to see such low/bad reviews as this has become my HG product to “defuzz” my upper lip. I feel others may have not done the patch test first before slathering on their face.
So my opinion…I love the applicator. It has a rubber/plastic nub applicator which applies the product smoothly and then you gently scrape off the product in 3 minutes. Then wash off residue with water. Finally “PAT DRY” don’t rub.
I do get a little red right after application, but it resolves overnight. (I do it at night time) My skin is acne prone..no acne with this product. It’s a chemical that dissolves hair…so super sensitive gals should not apply or use this product.
Smell isn’t too bad, its like a toned down Nair like of smell.
This has replaced my Olay facial hair removal kit…the one with the balm. I find this works much better and faster. With Olay I had to keep it on for 8 minutes.

this is a shocking product, overpriced and after the first application i broke out in a terrible rash almost like a painful chemical burn. i have never experienced such a terrible reaction to any product in my life – it has been 3 days and still hasn’t completely cleared up – do not use this product stay away!

I bought this on a whim and couldn’t regret it more! This stuff is pricey, especially for the small amount that you get. I thought, since it is Bliss, I would have the solution to getting that fuzz off.
The first time I tried it, it worked decently. I used it on my upper lip for 3 minutes, and it got a good amount of the fuzz off, but not all of the hair. The worst part was my skin got so irritated! It was red and itchy for about an hour afterwards. I’m so glad I didn’t need to be somewhere or that would have been embarrassing!
I figured that I should have left the product on longer to get rid of all of the hair, and I still had some hair on my chin that I was hoping to get rid of. The second time I used this, I put the product on and left it for about 10 minutes. Not only did this do NOTHING to remove the hair on my chin, but it was burning so badly that I actually put an ice pack on my face. YUCK!!
I agree with another reviewer in saying that this would be fine for your upper lip if you have very fine hair and please, please, do not leave it on for more than three minutes! I will say that the smell of this is not offensive, and you hardly smell that rotten eggs tinge of creams like this.
Bottom line: did not remove all of the hair that I wanted and burned like CRAZY. Into the trash this goes; don’t waste your money!

I honestly don’t know why I thought this would be a painless, spa-like product. i think because it’s Bliss we assume that it’s going to be like their other skincare products. It is what it is. Essentially, it’s Nair without the stigma or repulsive scent. I am Irish and very fair, and have very little hair anywhere, with the exception of my head. That said, I absolutely hate any sort of fuzz on my face. Even normal, practically invisible fuzz. I usually have my aesthetician wax areas of my face when I get my brows done, but I saw this product and decided to give it a try.
Application is completely sloppy and pretty much a nightmare. Because you’re trying to apply a thick, even coat, it tends to glop and get all over the place. It doesn’t go on easily whatsoever. I felt like I was wasting a ton of product, which is a bummer at this price.
By the time I was done applying to my upper and lower lip area, chin, and along my jawline, three minutes had come and gone. I began to quickly attempt to use the backside of the applicator as indicated. This was a complete joke. I then decided to move on to using damp tissues simply to get the product off my face as quickly as possible. Boy am I glad I did, because my entire lower face was is the reddest I’ve ever seen it. I had a minor freakout, and applied bacitracin in the hopes that it would help soothe my burned skin. Fortunately the redness went away in about an hour or so. Sure, my hair was removed and I was very happy with the results. That said, I can’t imagine my face being that irritated could be healthy. I’m going back to my Parissa wax strips, although I will use this product again only on my upper lip- and only for 3 minutes!
