THERE’S A TRICK to this, ladies. In order to get smooth without the bumps and cuts and irritation, soak in warm water for five minutes before applying a moisturizing, exfoliating body wash. Then, apply the gel on top of the body wash and proceed to shave (reapply the soap/gel combo as needed until done [I think another reviewer mentioned they do this also]). When finished, rinse with cool water and pat dry. Once you are completely dry, use a (separate from underarm) unscented deodorant along your bikini line and the upper portion of your triangle (do not apply it inside the labia lips). Let the area breathe for a half an hour, and you will (hopefully) be good to go!!! At least this is what works very well for me. It may not be perfect every time, but pretty gosh darn close. Be warned that the product slides right out of the bottle upon opening, but otherwise I have no complaints and find it a wonderful (while not being at all expensive *euphoric face*) part of my shaving routine. Honestly, this product does not deliver a closer shave or prevent in-growns or bumps. It makes the area feel smoother, which is nice but I actually have noticed it looks worse. As many other reviewers have noted, the packaging is also terrible. The product leaks out and it’s very hard to squeeze out the right amount. I probably wouldn’t buy again.
