This is my absolute go to when I want NEON yellow hair. To me it beats the 2 known competitors: directions flo glow and manic panic electric banana. I’ve swatched them all side by side on white paper, and worn all three on separate occasions in basically white bleached hair, and I gotta say flo glow is a close second but neon moon to me anyway is brighter and lasts longer. Electric banana is too cosmic sunshine leaning aka true yellow. When I go yellow I want highlighter not egg yolk. Also, in the summer when I wear a headband or scarf and walk in sun for any length of time, there is dyed stripe where the hair was protected from the sun, with near blonde hair everywhere else that sun bleached out. Doesn’t happen with neon moon. I do not dilute and only leave in about 15-20 minutes or it starts to get too YELLOW yellow and loses some highlighter appeal. I’m not some club kid so I can’t attest to the black light thing which I’m sure is spectacular but the best time of day to look at this color is right at dusk. For some reason, at that time it is positively GLOWING. Attached is just the hair in the sun which is bright but nowhere near as magical as the dusk time (can’t be captured on a camera I’ve tried).
