If you have really light brown/blonde hair or any sort of light highlights, this will work for you. I tried a bottle the first time on my brassy light brown hair and it took really well, but did make the color overall darker with a glint of silver gray. But the next time I tried it, my base color was a bit darker than the first time, and it barely gave results or showed up. It did take some of my brass away, which is great, so this can work well as a toner, if you use your own 10 vol developer. But for the price, you can get better results picking up a bottle of Wella’s color charm additive in 050 violet and that works better for much less with your own toner.
But again, if you have super light hair, this will work for you. But not the best. Did not damage my hair. The first time that it took very well, it washed out in a few days. Same for the Wella cooling violet. Silvers/greys never last too long.
