This and the L’Oreal spray Root Touch-Up product are pretty much even in my opinion for covering up my grey roots between salon colourings. While the L’Oreal product is a spray, this Garnier one is almost like a bingo dabber and so there’s a lot of control when applying it. I like it very much. As with the L’Oreal one, this one also doesn’t come off on my bed linens, my hats or hoods or under my finger nails. It looks natural and, just as important, it doesn’t feel crunchy. I do wish there were a few more colours but the one I have (I think it’s either Light Brown or just plain Brown) does a good enough job and blends in well with both the darker and lighter parts of my hair. This buys me a few extra weeks between pricey and time consuming salon sessions so it’s pretty much a must have product for me.

This is a quick hair retouch-up product to use between coloring. I’ve tried some very pricey sprays and powders my salon sells and did not like them. The sprays are hard to get where you want and the powders make my roots look dull and dirty. This relatively new product from Garnier is a sponge top similar to Maybelline instant age rewind concealer. It comes in 4 colors: dark blonde, light brown, dark brown and black. I purchased the light brown. You shake the little ‘bullet’ and then take off the top to use the sponge to apply to your root area. I used my fingers to mush it around a little and it washed off easily. It dried quickly and stayed on until I washed my hair. It did not transfer onto my pillow case. This is a win win product for me, very pleased. I paid $8.99 for this at CVS and had a 30% coupon!
