After dying my hair with this, the black (which had a purple tint to it in sunlight) completely faded out in less than a week. Usually I use other dyes from the Revlon ColorSilk line & they last in my hair until I recolor to cover grey strands that have grown out. Steer clear of this product.

I bought this in the newest shade “107 Violet Black”. Luminista is meant for dark hair, so I had high hopes that my hair would come out with dark overtones of violet. I left it for 30 min (a little longer than suggested) because my hair is black. I must say I love the conditioner and wish revlon would sell it separately. It left my hair so soft and smooth. After drying, I could see subtle violet tones to my hair! YAY!!! It was gorgeous. No red or burgundy. So….now it has been 2 weeks, and the violet is pretty much gone. As you can see from the super awesome quality photo, my hair is dark brown. Disappointing.

I wouldn’t buy this particular shade again, but would maybe try others in the luminista range.
