I was really excited to try this product due to the great reviews, that it’s natural, multi-use, rose scented, said to clear up problematic skin, easy to find, etc. But I found it drying, and the smell isn’t that great. I still get breakouts on my body as well. I typically love rose scented things, but almost every body wash I’ve tried smells better than this. I’m not saying this is a bad product, but it wasn’t for my skin type or my taste.

I love the way this cleans my makeup brushes but the smell was terrible. I love the smell of roses so I thought this was going to be a win but in my opinion it smells terrible. I bought the lavender and that one is working out much better for me!

I love using Dr. Bronners Liquid Peppermint Castile soap in the shower as a body wash about once a week. I wouldn’t recommend using this soap daily, because it can be a little drying when used too frequently on its own. The peppermint essential oil cools skin in the summer or right after a workout and cool down. The scent is a great way to wake up in the morning. The soap does not contain any SLS and so it doesn’t create a huge amount of foam or bubbles when you use it. If I want more bubbles, I use a loofah. The castile soap is so versatile. You can find a ton of recipes online for ways to use it around the house, not just in the shower.

After years of using drying bar soaps and harsh scrubs that did nothing to effectively clean my skin without dehydrating it and worsening my eczema, castile soap proved to be my holy grail.
Pros:
– Comes in a HUGE container for the relatively cheap price of about $12-14 depending on where you buy it (hint: go to Bed Bath and Beyond!). You can (and should) dilute it, so it lasts even longer!
– smells a bit strong and fruity but the smell doesn’t stick to everything in the shower and leaves your skin lightly scented
– the soap simultaneously cleans and moisturizes the body without harsh fragrances, alcohols, or stripping ingredients, and it foams wonderfully.
– look at the ingredients list! It’s full of plant-derived oils and is also vegan!
– The bottle is reusable, recyclable, and very large! I personally reuse it to store water to water my plants or cut into a makeshift bird feeder.
– The packaging is covered in paragraphs of life advice, company history, and potential uses for the soap (all 18 of them!), making it an awesome countertop bottle for you to read while on the toilet for prolonged periods of time or if you just get bored 🙂
Cons:
– After rinsing, the soap can make your shower/bathtub floor SUPER slippery, so just be careful to not slip.
– A lot of the product comes out of the bottle at once, so take time to control how much comes out to dilute it.
In regards to the product’s effects itself, I can’t think of any cons.

I started using this as my face wash about 2-3 weeks ago, and I’m pleasantly surprised! You get a very large bottle of the product, and it lasts a good amount of time. The best way I’ve found to use this is to put it on a facial brush, and moving the brush in circular motions. When they say ‘liquid soap’, they really mean it! It’s not hard to make a mess if you’re not careful when pouring it out. It has made my skin not produce as much oil, as this soap is based from oils. The only complaint I have is the packaging, as it can be kind of annoying to open it sometimes. Other than that, It has done wonders for my skin! I highly recommend it to anyone suffering with acne.

I really like this soap! I put a little on a washcloth and it suds up well and gets me clean and fresh. I also use it for my baths, a little goes a long way. I do enjoy the writing on the bottle, I don’t think it’s crazy or weird at all, it’s pretty cool actually. The ingredients are amazing, non toxic and safe. Please remember, this is a true soap, not a detergent, and a tiny bit goes a long way.
Also, this is Dita Von Teese’s favorite, I found out from her book “Your Beauty Mark”

I have heard so much about the dr bronners line of soaps all over YouTube and from friends. I’ve never used this on my face ever I’d like to think that this really would dry my already dry face out more and from the reviews it looks like it’s a good thing I haven’t used it on my face. Some one recommend the tea tree soap to was my brushes with but I couldn’t find it so I picked up the rose and almond scented ones and I love the rose (I’m a huge rose fan). I think that for brushes it does a fantastic job in deep cleaning it really gets I there and pulls all the gunk out of the inside of the brushes. I do recommend this as an awesome brush cleaner I no longer have to “waste” money on the beauty blender soap and liquid that thing just ran out so fast! This you only need a little bit an it lathers so well and lasts a long time!

The soap is extremely harsh , good for general household cleaning not on body God forbid face

I love this soap, i love the rosy fragrance and the way it foams to a nice lather. It lasts a long time as you only need a few drops AND it’s made from basic ingredients. Will buy again and again.

I bought a 2 oz bottle of the Rose Scented Liquid Soap at my local health food store for about $2.00 dollars. I love the natural rose scent. It’s not a strong aroma, but smells more like real roses from your garden. I think if people are getting too strong an aroma from this it’s because they’re using too much. Dr. Bronner’s Liquid Soap’s are all very concentrated. I use this as a hand wash, and it literally takes five drops to get the job done. Previously, I had always bought the lavender scented soap, which I still love. However, I’ll definately buy this rose scented soap again.
