This is sooo underrated! I bought this for my sudden outburst of body acne and it works! I use it on my face too and I haven’t had a breakout since. It’s so cheap compared to expensive acne products and is package free. I bought this because all the ingredients seem perfect for breakout prone skin like oatmeal, aloe vera, tea tree oil. It also isnt fragranced much, which is perfect for us girls who get headaches from other Lush products. I’m going to buy a half a kilo of this stuff next time. Can’t live without it!

One of my favourite soaps ever!
Pros:
-Fresh herbal aromatic scent (I hate sweet, foody scents);
-Cleansing and truly refreshing, but does not leave that rubbery feel unlike many other mainstream soaps do;
-Even suitable for oily, acne prone, irritated facial skin — leaves it soothed and refreshed.
Cons:
-bizarre form and the lack of packaging;
-not long lasting and not very economical for the price.
Anyway, I look forward to using it every morning and it really enriches my showering experience with its “Herbs de Provence” scent.
Probably my favourite Lush product!

This review is for LUSH’s Parsley Porridge soap.
This soap comes in a vibrant forest green colour. The ingredients include: fresh parsley, finely ground oatmeal, thyme, tea tree oil, and aloe gel. It has a herbal look to it.
LUSH’s website claims this soap will get you super squeaky-clean. I agree that this soap is good at removing dirt, but I found it to be a bit drying (not overly drying, but about the same as your average bar of soap).
LUSH also claims that this soap can be used on either the face or body, and that it keeps spotty or disturbed skin cleansed and clear. I used it only on my body, so I can’t attest to how well it is at combatting spots or acne on the face. However I have some eczema on my legs, and I will say that Parsley Porridge soap did not irritate those areas in any way. I don’t feel the soap has “soothing” properties (as LUSH’s website claims), but it is very mild and non-irritating.
The soap produced a decent lather, and it did not melt away when placed under hot water, so it should last for a long time.
As for the smell…whew, it smells strongly of parsley. Despite the other ingredients contained within the soap, all I could smell was the parsley. It is super-duper strong.
There is something really off-putting about smelling food-related herbal scents in a steaming hot shower. Personally, it grossed me out. That being said, I would not repurchase this soap.
