I only use this to clean my sponges and makeup brushes and it does wonders! I prefer it to laundry soap.

I like this dial anti bacterial bar soap for the shower ???? especially in the summer time! Despite what the FDA says about anti bacterial agents! I like the extra reassurance that I’m killing germs on my body! This soap does have a fresh scent I remember using as a kid! I recently bought a big batch of this soap from bj & I noticed they had changed the active ingredient of the anti bacterial agent & I hope it’s just as good! I have still yet to test out this new version! I’m finding that the fragrance is too much in this soap! Wish they would make a fragrance free & dye free version of this!

Absolutely! Love the GOLD bar!!! White is exactly the same too…. great scent! I feel squeaky clean when i use this. I really bought this bc it’s antibacterial for my armpits. I love dove bars on my body….but needed something better for armpits. Ummm, this is great to really clean the pits. I shower at night before bed and was finding I needed to rewash pits in the am. Not anymore with using Dial gold or white bar. Soooo happy when a product actually works. Yippee! Also, sometimes Walgreens will do a BOGO sale! Awesome!

If you use this soap for acne control, better stock up on it. The FDA is removing the active ingredient that makes it effective. Once removed it will be like any other soap.

I like this soap a lot the smell is so nice and the way it makes my skin feel so clean and fresh. No need for lotion after because this leaves a smoothness on my skin. I am starting to get into dial soaps now I have this gold one, the lavender one, the smoothing care one and the advanced clean in bar soap versions. Hand soaps I have gold, Himalayan pink salt, white tea , spring fresh and one limited edition hand soap from winter season it’s green smells like cologne. I like dial products a lot. I remember dial gold being used on my newborn daughter back in the 90’s at the hospital that’s what they used to wash the babies with and if it’s mild enough for newborns then it’s a good and trusted soap. I think I’ve found my favorite. Good on my face too it brightened my complection.

I use the Aloe version almost exclusively (I can usually find it at some Targets, or wait till places like Big Lots has it, then I stock up). It cleans my body well enough, but I find it is the only thing I can use on my face to clean it without breaking out or not getting my face clean enough. Usually I use it with a washcloth but I’ve been using it with a Clarisonic Mia 2 lately. Either way, I find this soap is great for everything.

This review is for the white bar.
I never thought I’d be a soap girl. I used every body wash in the civilized world but noticed they don’t travel well, are often full of synthetics and fillers, and they sometimes don’t feel clean at all.
So I tried a few things: (1) LUSH shampoo bar love! (2) Dove (3) Caress (4) Dial.
I liked Dove and Caress but they have a lot of moisturizing ingredients and VERY strong fragrances. The Lush is AMAZING period. Dial is a perfect soap: fresh scent, decent lather, leaves me skin feeling genuinely clean. Would I use body wash again? Some of them. BUT soap is just so economical and takes up very little space.
What really turned me was how my skin reacted. No razor burn, no allergic rash (some products make my skin go mental), and I’m not itchy. True, we’re in the deep of winter right now, but I think that says a lot about soap.
It does not lather like a body wash though. That’s the trade-off. However, at least it’s made of pure cleansing agents, not mostly water. The more you use it, as any soap, the mushier it gets, but that actually helps it lather.
After bathing, I use Sundown vitamin E oil and some Vaseline jelly. Great also!
I’m so happy

I suffered from acne for years! I didn’t really get acne until I was about 25, so I’m not sure if that makes a difference. Horrible, painful, cystic acne that I still have scars from. Using this on my face clear it up. When I ran out I though I could just use dove instead…nope! I broke right back out.
This soap has saved my face! It is not drying for me at all, actually dove seemed to dry my face out more.
I spent so much money over the years on trying to find a solution, I never thought this would be it! So happy I spent a dollar to try this! I’ll never be without this again. I’ve noticed that dial has come out with acne facial cleansing products, but this one works great for me.
I only use this on my face and not my body due to it being antibacterial, just a personal preference… So I can not speak to it as far as a body bar. But did wonders on my acne!

When I threw out my old face wash I never went around to getting a new one, but I read from somewhere that Dial Gold works great for acne. My household had bars of the soap, and since I don’t have sensitive skin I wasn’t that worried about trying something new on my face.
I did not experience breakouts during the time I was using this, and it did help clean out any grime that may have accumulated on my face during the time I was using it (which was close to a month).

Dial Gold Antibacterial Deodorant Bar Soap is great because it’s just that… soap. I want to start by saying it’s really not fair that people with acne are giving a soap that doesn’t claim to have anti-acne medicine low ratings. If you’re someone with that issue & you like Dial, you should be using the Dial Acne Control Face Wash, Dial Acne Control Body Wash, or Dial Acne Control Glycerin Body + Face Bar.
Anyway, Gold is “the bar you can trust for deodorant protection & long-lasting clean.” I honestly like its simplicity & the fact that it cleanses my skin & that’s it.. It’s not fancy or scented like a fruit bowl; it’s just good old soap that cleans my skin & isn’t only concerned about (usually pore-clogging) moisturizers or making me smell like a grapefruit. I use this in the bath & shower to wash my entire body, & haven’t had any bad reactions. The bars lather well, the scent is fresh, & rinse clean. While it’s not moisturizing, it doesn’t strip or dry out my skin either. My body just felt softer & clean, & that’s what matters the most to me!
Not having to choose between effective cleaning my skin & smelling good is the best thing about this! I’m good a whole two days if I use this soap. I take a bath/shower every other day (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, & so on) to avoid drying out my skin & even though I can’t smell the soap’s scent on the following day, I don’t smell like sweat or like I’ve been walking outside. The odor protection is probably what I like the most. I highly recommend this soap to anyone active or anyone who needs to be clean-smelling for longer periods of time.
