This body cleanser smells delicious–like peaches–but it leaves a lot to be desired in other respects. It has “creamy” in the name, so I was expecting it to be moisturizing. Wrong. This stuff is extremely drying. It also doesn’t seem to rinse cleanly–it seems to leave a dry film on the skin. I received a travel size of this as part of a gift set. I’m glad I got to try it, but I will not be purchasing.

I liked the idea of a creamy body wash so when I purchased this I thought I’ll have a luxurious shower experience. Oh my, I was wrong. The smell that started coming from the product when I lathered some on my arms really put me off!
When I tried testers in the shop it stood out having a nice, mildly peachy scent. When I actually tried to use it it smelled like grammys old face cream or some other ancient (read:expired) beauty product. I wonder if the product I got was fresh.
I ended up returning it and had hard time convincing the shop staff to not just exchange it, but give me a different product.
It’s a bit sad cause I liked how my skin felt afterwards – clean yet moisturized.
I still don’t know if the product was old or not since I haven’t had any reply to my question from Origins representative. The shop staff thought my product smelled ‘funny’ so they offered another tube but in my opinion it smelled ‘funny’ too 😀
How do you know if the product is over expiration date?

Way too expensive for what it delivers.

The only complaint I have about this cleanser is the amount you get for your money. Maybe I am using too much product, but I found it didn’t last very long. However, I do love the way it feels on my skin. It works really well with APW body cream (which I am a big fan of). Just wish it came in a pump and not a tube!

Very nice cleanser. Lathers up fine when using my body puff. I love to bath with this product and I tend to use a lot. Works very well with Origins Precipitation Lotion. Even though I love this product, it is very expensive and I was glad I purchased it during a holiday sales special at Origins. As a matter of fact, I will only purchase it during a sales special. The price is over rated.

This stuff is horrible! It gave me this crazy rash and I was itchy and bumpy for days. I switched back to my old product and was fine, and when I returned to APW the rash returned as well. I had bad experiences with the APW line generally but this had such great reviews that I thought it might be better – it’s not. In addition, the consistency is weird. It doesn’t lather on my shower puff, just my hands. This would be okay except that if I then try to use a shower puff, it soaks up all the soap and I have to re-apply. Just…strange. Ask for a sample before you buy this stuff. I can’t believe I wasted $26 on this soap.

Used for: years.
Me: 40, n/d, shower person (rarely baths).
Pros: wonderful, thick, lovely lather. Almost like showering with a pleasant smelling shaving cream. Scent works well with APW body cream.
Cons: had tubes that smell different than others (especially smaller ones that come with “sets”). Maybe a result of packaging? Atrociously expensive in my opinion, especially since it gets “rinsed” down the drain.
Packaging: not “luxe”, especially given the price, but in line with Origins’ “green” image.
Buy again: probably. I love APW cream and the sets are often a good deal. Overall, though, I probably prefer Aveda products that are similar.

Let me start off by saying that I’m not usually all that impressed by Origins bath and shower products. Sure, they always smell quite nice, but when things cost as much as they do, I expect them to do a bit more for my skin, and the others haven’t. This is different. It still smells lovely (a light, sweet apricot kernel/white tea scent that doesn’t interfere with your perfume), but it also works hard. You don’t get a lot of lather with this, as it’s more creamy than sudsy, but it leaves your skin so squeaky clean that you might equate the feeling with dryness until you towel off and find yourself soft, fresh, and supple. I’m prone to dry skin, especially in the winter, and with this product I got immediately noticeable results in improving both the look and the feel of my skin, and when I added the matching body lotion afterward, my skin completely changed into something comfortable, perfectly soft, and healthy.

I got this an Xmas present from a friend, and it’s not something that I would have picked out on my own. I usually stick to drugstore or BBW body washes..however, I am totally hooked on this stuff now. It has a light, refreshing apricot scent, and it leaves my skin super soft! I always notice a difference after I use this body wash b/c my skin is so soft and smooth. I can’t stand body washes that leave your skin feeling coated and waxy…this one leaves your skin squeaky clean, but SO soft and moisturized. The smell doesn’t linger long after your shower, either..so it won’t interfere with perfumes.

I am one of the few unimpressed. I love the smell and bought this to match the APW body cream, but I feel like this cleans my skin too much. It makes me feel sqeaky clean, which I equate with dry. Bottom line, I will finish up my tube and move on.
