All I can smell from this fragrance is strong rich tuberose against a back note of mixed woodsy scents. Scent is fairly longl lasting on me.

Smells a lot like Sand & Sable by Coty. Which is a lot cheaper.

I like this so much but its not strong enough. Perhaps you have to spritz it all over like a body spray to get a real taste of it. I LOVE the opening of this-on me it smells very strongly of roses for the first few minutes, sweet and a bit smoky. Then dries down to a nice comfortable musk-slightly fruity (raspberry?) but mostly floral and woody. Smells similar to other faves of mine…Perry Ellis 360 Pink, FCUK Her, Guess Women…a soft feminine easy to wear scent good for everyday wear

Not overly impressed with this. It is a very subtle scent that doesn’t smell particularly expensive. Vauge and flowery scent. This would be good for you if you prefer very light daytime scent with no real silage. I prefer perfume with a bit of a kick and lasting power

I find this to be a perfect girly smell but not 2 girly if u know what i mean..ive been trying to find a scent i will always keep in stock ie my signature secent instead of what ive been doing wich is buy it,use it up& try another.i used 2 always have tommy girl in high school, then cool water as i got older..btw i went 2 go buy tommy girl for my lil sis in law for her first real perfume¬ those $5 watery spritses shes been using.it dosnt smell like i rember it at all it smelled like alchol…ugh..i rember it being a clean cool smell..& ive been turned of cool water ever since i got prego with my 1st.its.sickly sweet that last 4ever it seems now 2me..anyways bk 2 woman…2 me its a powdery floral soapy flavor.i smell floral first, followed by a powdery smell&then something slightly fruity&soapy.its a good spring/summer anytime scent,it dosnt last particularly long to me even with the lotion(i dont like the smell in lotion form) but i can smell it on my clothes when i change,my husband likes it.i dont think its myHG/Signature scent but i actually might keep this around for awhile..my bottles almost emptie& im shure i will repurchase sometime in the future as i really like the smell, just not the longevity.

After smelling the male version of Versace on my cousins husband and really liking it, my interest was peeked so I began a hunt to find a female version that was just as nice. I’d always seen versace perfumes in TJMaxx/Marshalls/Ross but was hesitant to get buy any since I really didn’t know how they smelled. Well, today I visited TJ Maxx and noticed several gift sets on display including Yellow Diamonds, Versus and Versace Woman. I know that you’re not suppose to test the fragrances but I was just dying to know what they all smelled like. Of the 3, VW was my absolute favorite! At first it was just a strong generic floral but after a few minutes, this very seductive and sophisticated floral emerged. Versus was too lemony and faint while Yellow Diamonds smelled like an exact dupe of D&G Light Blue. Yuck! Anyway, I didn’t want to do an impulse buy for the VW, so I gave it more time to settle and after 2 hours, I must say, I LOVE IT!! I’m not interested in the whole gift set but will go back to get a single bottle when I see it available again.

I was in boots with my boyfriend and I spotted this perfume, I told him it reminded me of going on holiday with my grandma and grandad not long before he died, in 2002 and I bought this from a perfume store while I was on holiday with them. Now my bf hates me buying perfume but he said I should buy it for the memories, so I did and its just as lovely as I remember it all those years ago 🙂 it smells wonderful on me. Best part, it was half price, £15 for 50ml 🙂 lovely scent and memories

This fragrance is exquisite when I tried the first squirt. It is refined, tasteful, and a little sweet all at once. It dries to a so so fragrance that I smell every where all over the cosmetic counters. four hours later, it has a an acrid powdery smell which isn’t too bad. I think it is an older fragrant for more matured ladies. Yes, the fragrant name is right. It’s for a woman not a younger person. For me, it doesn’t smell sexy sweet or memorable. I’d skip this one. Too bad the initial smell was so wonderful. Wish it had continue to smell the same as the hours went by.

Sophisticated this is not but it is definitely a whole lot of fun! (And usually available at bargain prices!) When I wear it I feel like I should don a big blond wig, rhinestone encrusted jeans, stilletoes and a suitable top. Great for a night out with the girls.
Notes as follows: jasmine, wild rose, frangipani leaves and bergamot, a heart of lotus, plum, raspberry and Lebanese blue cedar over a base of musk, grey amber and Inoki wood notes.
Bottle suits the fragrance perfectly. I do like this one a lot!

A Good Quality Vetiver-Centric Fragrance that is Completely Misnamed
Donna Karan Woman is a completely misnamed unisex fragrance that possibly leans toward the masculine. It all depends on how one views vetiver because Woman is definitely a vetiver-centric fragrance just like Chanel Sycomore although Sycomore has a smoky note that Woman does not.
Woman purportedly also has notes of sandalwood, orange flower, and other floral notes, but I mainly detect a very fresh, green, airy vetiver. Occasionally, I am able to detect a fresh citrus note reminiscent of freshly squeezed orange juice, but it is somewhat muted. I do not detect either sandalwood or other floral notes. Woman is classified as a floral woody musk, but I would describe it as a woody citrus.
Anyone who is interested in vetiver as a note should definitely try Woman. Woman has moderate projection, sillage, and longevity. It is appropriate in virtually any venue, too. An added bonus is the unusual bottle which looks like a piece of modern sculpture one might find at MoMA. Unusual bottles seem to be a Donna Karan trademark, and Woman is no exception.
I have awarded Woman two lippies (I would award 2.5 if I could do), but that is only because vetiver is not one of my favourite notes. I find Woman much more wearable than Sycomore, though. Whereas Woman is a fresh, green, airy, and slightly citrusy fragrance that I could imagine wearing almost anywhere at any time, Sycomore is more of an “experience.” I cannot imagine wearing Sycomore anywhere I would normally go. Moreover, whereas I find Woman to be unisex, I find Sycomore to be much more masculine. Let your nose be your guide and decide for yourself.

This is a particular kind of scent for a particular type of nose; a nose not afraid of the bold, not afraid of androgyny. I personally am very feminine in appearance, but sometimes find a stereotypically feminine fragrance to be overpowering or not appropriate in my work environment. So I was very comfy in DK Woman, all day.
At first spritz I smelled violet and an unfloofy floral blend, although the descriptor says orange blossom. After the initial dry down, my entire body smelled like a good suede bag with a touch of sandalwood, the floral completely gone. After around six hours, the leather died down and the floral rose again but much softer and close to the skin.
I think this would be an awesome date night fragrance, as well as being suitable for work, probably better in cooler months; I imagine this to be too heady for the long hot and humid days of summer.

I love this perfume. I have come to realize that I love the way vetiver smells, and it is a very dominant scent in this perfume. However, it isn’t a super feminine perfume. I see this as a good thing, but I can see how others wouldn’t.
I think the bottle is pretty sexy, and definitely curvy like a woman.
I can’t comment on the price, as I received it as a sample in a Luxe Box. But, I think I will buy a bottle.

Waow why call a perfume Woman and make it smell so much like a man ‘ s cologne!!?? I didn’t like that one at all, I was expecting creamy, warm, not dry and harsh. Nothing pretty about that perfume. Only for women who enjoy those types of masculine scents, not for me. I like to smell like a woman!!!

My mom loves Cashmere Mist and I prefer Black Cashmere. I was really happy to see DK coming out with a new fragrance. She knows what she is doing. I received this for Christmas from my husband and I have been wearing it very frequently.
Creamy amber, maybe labdanum(?) with deep floral overlays. Lasts a while on my (2 applications per day). A warm-medium scent, likely not noticeable unless you are close to the person wearing it. Great fragrance for work.

What is it with Donna Karan coming out with perfumes for women that smell like men’s cologne or aftershave? Lets see there is Black Cashmere, Chaos, Pure, Wenge, Labdanum, Liquid Nude and now, and probably the most masculine smelling of the bunch, Woman. Woman is all vetiver and woods. It has that noticeable aftershave note that alot of men’s scents have. I wore it to work the other day and left my office. When i came back i noticed a strong scent of woods and pungent vetiver in the air. It was really nice. This fragrance is very strong and packs a punch and it could have very easily been called Donna Karan Man. Donna Karan is probably the only cosmetics company that consistently comes out with good, daring fragrances that push the envelope and Woman certainly does just that. I just hope Woman sticks around and is not discontinued or impossibly hard to find after a few months or a couple of years like the aforementioned fragrances. In conclusion, if you are a woman (no pun intended) who likes to search out fragrances for herself at the men’s counter you will feel at home with wearing Women and not feel funny that you had to buy an actual men’s scent. Now if only Donna Karan cosmetics would make a women’s scent for men. LOL….yeah right.

I really like this in spring/summer. My only gripe is that it doesn’t last long enough. One of my husband’s favourites – when he can smell it on me that is!

this has been my HG perfume for a while, its dirt cheap (between 10-20 pounds, depending on the size of the bottle), lasts for ages but is subtle enough for everyday. for night time, I layer with the body creme, and it smells fab. will agree with other reviewers that men seem to go loopy for this, which is good. Because it isnt well known, not many people wear it, so I feel unique and special. will always have in my bag.
finickySalami2
Raspberry gives it a lift at the beginning but I agree its a bit manically overcrowded with sweet perfume notes, florals, citrus, vanilla and peppery notes. Nice in the tiniest of doses but it usually gives me a headache.
