Im currently obsessed with rose everything so I had to try this one. I also wanted to try the new Viva La Juicy Sucre as I tend to really love the gourmand, food, sweet fragrances.
I literally couldn’t decide which one I liked more so I bought both in the rollerballs that also come with the original Viva La Juicy fragrance. I’ve been a fan of Juicy Couture for years, since like day one when the company started out. When they released the first fragrance I immediately bought it and it has been one of my favorites for years. Its nice to see them trying something new and different.
While I DO like this Rose version, I have to say that to me its not very “rose”. Wet it is very citrusy, bright and bubbly. On the dry down you get more of the rose, but on the final dry down it smells so much like the original. Viva La Juicy. I was hoping for a little more rose on this one.
While I do love this one, Im not sure its one I would buy in a full size version, unless I found a great deal on it somewhere.

This was such a yummy yet unnecessary splurge for me. I would advise anyone that isn’t absolutely dying to own it, to wait until it lowers in price. It smells so damn good, yet, it smells so similar to so many other pink, rosey, less expensive fragrances…of which I own many. In particular this smells similar to my Viva La Juicy La La Malibu…and nearly identical to my Perry Ellis 360 Pink. Recently I lined up my 10 favourite perfumes out of my extensive, obsessive, slightly creepy hoard of fragrances….they all have pink bottles or caps-to give you an idea of my taste in scents. Anyway I love this, I have been waiting since last winter to buy it. Smelling it, stalking it, drooling over it, and waiting for it to drop in price….which it hasn’t yet. So when I saw it in a gift set with the 50 ml perfume plus rollerball I couldn’t wait any longer. When the saleslady asked if it was a gift I lied and said yes since the amount of perfume I buy is embarrassing-haha! I’m sure these gift sets will probably be half price at WalMart after Christmas. Anyway onto the scent itself….pretty simple…a soft rose and juicy pear. That’s pretty much all I smell. A definite floral/fruity pink smell. It’s soft, pretty, and cheerful. Sits pretty close to the skin. Good every day or signature scent. Pretty sparkly bottle. But unless you are like me-obsessed with rose scents, and a collector of Juicy Couture fragrances…I wouldn’t pay full price for this

I was testing fragrances in Ulta last Spring. It definitely helps to sniff the coffee beans between scents!
I came across Juicy Couture Rose and it just hit me! To me, this is a happy fragrance! I wore it for a few weeks then, purchased a larger size from HSN.com.
Prior to this, I wore Ralph Lauren Romance for years. I still love it but, wanted something new.
I find Rose uplifting and refreshing. On me, it seems to linger all day. I also like the dry down. I don’t need much and have stopped using it around my neck area. I don’t like fragrance overload and I don’t want to overpower anyone near me.
For reference, I used to love Opium. Now, it’s way too sweet for me.
I really like the sparkle, solid glass packaging. I keep fragrances in the original box in my closet-away from light or direct heat.
As for price, it’s a middle range for a higher end fragrance. I own one that was extremely expensive (a Creed fragrance).
This is clear, doesn’t stain skin or clothing.

I’m a bit disappointed in this fragrance… it’s extremely expensive, for one, and smells very similar to JC’s Couture La La, except La La is actually better in my opinion. I don’t get a whole lot of rose (or any, really) when I smell it. It’s more like a Victoria’s Secret body spray fragrance to me. It doesn’t smell BAD. It’s a nice fragrance. It’s just not as special as the price tag and the packaging and the name would lend you to believe….too bad.

I own most of the Juicy Coutures, and this VLJ Rosé flanker immediately shot to becoming one of my top fave Juicys (orig floral JC is my least fave, and Gold Couture my most fave). There seems to be a recent craze for rose perfumes & flankers, in general — and I do love this one, but an added bonus is that the bottle is drop-dead gorgeous.
An EDP, launched in 2016, here are Viva La Juicy Rosé’s notes, per parfumo.net:
Top Notes – Italian mandarin, Williams pear, Jasmine
Heart Notes – Rosa centifolia absolute, White peony, Jasmine sambac
Base Notes – Orris absolute, Benzoin, Ambrox
I was afraid it might be too sweet, but for me, it’s not. It’s like they took Viva La Juicy, added rose, but also pear (which I love) and some Sprite. It’s a sheer, sparkling, fizzy, effervescent mix of light fruits & rosy florals — lively — has a lot going on — it sort of frolics on your skin.
I was worried about how sweet it might be, but it’s NOT too sweet — not for me anyway — and the rose isn’t pointy or sharp, as rose can sometimes be. Not heavy or syrupy — it’s light & refreshing — like a bubbly carbonated beverage. Not overwhelmingly rose, but for me, that’s a good thing — I like the way this rose is done — I can smell it’s in there, but it mixes nicely with the other notes.
Fresh, happy, & delicious — I love it! I got the gift set for Mother’s Day (with 3.4oz stunning bottle + a duo rollerball with VLJ Rose on one end + orig VLJ on the other) — and I’m soooo glad to have this rose flanker! Different enough from all the others to own it also, and as usual, the bottle is a beautiful work of art. Love it!
