This is a great, cozy, cold weather scent. I had been looking for a fragrance with a nice patchouli note that didn’t smell horribly earthy and heavy. I found this scent to be a much more wearable version of Lancome’s La Vie Est Belle, which I found horrendeously heavy and nauseating in every way. When I tried Vince Camuto, I instantly loved the patchouli and rum notes that are perfectly balanced and not too sweet or heavy. This scent also reminds me a little bit of the LuLu Guinness scent, Cast a Spell. This is a great all-around scent for those who like a nicely balanced fragrance with some patchouli.

I saw this at marshalls for a pretty good price. I had heard a lot of good things about it so I bought it. At the price it was I really had nothing to lose. To me this smells like flowerbomb. I really can’t distinguish the difference. I’m sure there are a few different notes in it. So if you don’t feel like spending the extra $$$ for flowerbomb pick this up

I was shopping one day and decided to spray the sampler of this on myself. I didn’t think it was anything special when I first sprayed it. I went on with my day and forgot all about it. When I got home I hung up my scarf.
About 2 weeks later I wore the scarf which still had traces of this scent on it. I practically pulled my hair out trying to pinpoint how this scent got on my scarf, where it came from, and what it was. Just to be sure, I bought the roll on from target. I’ve been wearing it everyday. I don’t know what it is about this fragrance..it just stays with you. It’s emollient and versatile. I strongly recommend trying it. I am going to get a regular sized bottle ASAP

Love this perfume. So elegant and feminine! Definitely repurchasing. The perfume bottle is packaged beautifully. I’m completely in love with it!

All I can say this is a beautiful perfume. It’s a balanced sweet and spicy floral which makes it a versatile scent -it could be worn in either summer or winter. I love the drydown.. it kind of reminds me of creme brulee and fresh roses. Pretty bottle too 🙂 I’m really liking this.

This perfume says hello like a glass of sangria on a warm summer night. As it starts to wear you may smell something like a flowery peppercorn with hints of fresh sawdust. It reminds me then of an old library in a mansion with ghosts of parties and their elegant guests slipping away “somewhere more quiet” to “talk”. Then it’s a bouquet of jasmine, roses and and something almost ambery. Just when you think it’s gone all sweet and womanly it turns ever so slightly. It’s your dream-guy-in-a-leather-jacket’s Ralph Lauren cologne swirling with your Nina by Nina Ricci perfume as he goes in for a sultry kiss. Once you’re over this lusty stage it will show you something very mature. You start to smell patchouli ever so slightly. Then a musky woody medicinal but comforting and very warm aura forms. It’s not something you smell right on your skin. It’s just about 4-5 inches away from it. A haze of mature vanilla, floral, musk and tough leather is what you are left with. It’s like the story of a loss of innocence, this perfume. Never have I felt so intrigued by this kind of scent. The more I wear it the more I want to experience it from the beginning again.

I have tested this several times. I am considering a bottle of this and one of the Aliens (not sure which yet). I also wanted The One at one time. Funny that another reviewer mentioned Alien and The One together equals this. I like vanilla but with a twist. Lots of fragrances out there are copycats but this is different enough for me to seriously consider, even during a recession!

Original Vince Camuto is a sweet-spicy, rich, delicious vanilla oriental. I was impressed at first sniff. Just my type — very nice!
Notes, per parfumo.net:
Top Notes: Osmanthus, Rum
Heart Notes: Jasmine, Leather, Rose
Base Notes: Musk, Patchouli, Vanilla
ADDENDUM 5/3/16: If you like vanilla-wood-musk orientals, this is the VC for you. Flankers Amore (floral), Bella (tropical fruity), Fiori (soft floral), and Capri (aquatic) are all completely different scents — but this original VC is definitely my favorite.

When I first tested Vince Camuto and came home, I kept sniffing my wrists. The fragrance was haunting me for hours on end. I couldn’t get enough of it. So much so that I returned the next day to the store to purchase it. That’s how much I adore this perfume.
For me, the top is a boozy pepper, altho pepper is not listed. Somehow, that’s what I detect. Next delight is the leather crackling with the rum swirling in a decanter. Jump right to the base notes and all of them intertwine together delightfully for hours in a creamy, delicate manner. At times, little bursts of florals pique your interest but hide more than show themselves. The patchouli, vanille, musk and amber all dance languidly in the dark corners of the smoky nightclub of this boozy mix.
What a sophisticated, Great Gatsby type of perfume this reminds me of. I envision a woman with her huge brimmed hat, long slim dress, huge eyes that show restraint but sensual want of her soul. Vince Camuto is not an overpowering perfume, just light enough to attract attention, sensual enough to give allure, the base notes being a surprise mix to mesmerize all. It surprises the wearer and others. Not a gourmand, yet I can’t help feeling I am in a bakery, perhaps choosing a warm loaf from an outdoor market early in the morning on a cobblestone street.
A fragrance for any mood, for most settings, for all seasons, for self-assured ladies over 30. If you are that woman that exudes elegance no matter what you wear, where you are or what you are doing, this just might be your fragrance.
Longevity is wonderful, lasting hours with one spray. A beautiful scent that never disappoints.
A very pretty bottle sitting in my boudoir with its pretty gold filigree cap and red ribbon.
Top Notes: Osmanthus, Rum.
Middle Notes: Jasmine, Rose, Leather.
Base Notes: Musk, Amber, Vanille, Patchouli.
