I bought this unsniffed (EDP) based on reviews. Admittedly the beautiful bottle didn’t hurt. And I’ve never seen a perfume colored orchid pink either (why is that? Most perfumes are yellow-ish).
Usually I am not big on floral scents, especially roses–but I really like this one. It’s strong at first, but it settles down to sweet rose–and it lasts for hours–I could still smell it on my wrist 7 hours later. It reminds me of another perfume (now discontinued) called Mariella Burani (the rectangular bottle with orange flower cap). Since Mariella is not available any longer, I’ll probably buy a backup bottle of Sirene.

Magnificence in a bottle. I have the miniature, a frosted glass bottle with beautiful images of women surrounding the glass. The bottle is one of my most unique smalls.
Sirene surrounds you immediately with a boozy rum scent of a Peaches Flambe. This is a rich, full, mysterious perfume that calls to your inner primal desires.
Some fragrances are splashed, some are sprayed, some are walked through. Sirene is dabbed on pulse points and hidden areas. Sweet, powdery, heavily musky, this is a powerful weapon that takes you deep into the vortex of erotic perfumery.
Sirene begins with lemony geranium and orange notes, followed by piercing, earthy florals of violet, jasmine and ylang-ylang, wrapped in powdery veils. This is a strong, animalic scent lasting hours. The vanille is strong and mature.
As the Sirens sang their songs to the Mariners, as the Slavic Faeries were spirits of seduction, and Nymphs could bring madness and infatuation to an admirer, then this perfume is aptly named Sirene. If worn appropriately, it is a powerful drug ensconced within the bottle of maidens, not to be taken lightly or used daily.
Sirene is for romance, for midnight dalliances, for seductions of love.
Fragrance Notes: Orange, Peach, Geranium, Tincture Of Rose, Violet, Jasmine, Peony, Ylang-Ylang, Musk, Vanille, Woodsy Notes.

It’s aldehylic without being suffocating or too intense. As a previous review noted, it reminded her of expensive French soap. It is that and it’s very French in nature. And it’s very feminine. Why this one never took off like Chanel & Balenciaga is beyond me, because I actually prefer Sirene to No. 5 and Le Dix. Sirene is similar to, but much more sophisticated and complex than the old Dolce & Gabanna in the red bottle. It’s floral, but not overwhelmingly floral. Sillage is pretty good, even for the eau de toilette. On a hot day, you are reminded of its presence on your skin even 8 hours later. Men seem to love this fragrance, but then again, that’s why Vicky Tiel created it. You don’t have to be Brigette Bardot to wear Sirene, but if you do choose to wear it, you sure will feel just like her.

A nice soft blend of powdery florals and musk. Like a fancy French soap in some ways, like Camay, but with a rich solid base. Very very nice, but also definitely a tea party scent. Day time, office, but not formal, I think. As such, I won’t seek out more, but it is a fairly effortless day scent.

Grabbed this yesterday after reading all the wonderful reviews, well some not so wonderful, but it sounded like a fragrance I might like and it was very on sale at Ross’s.
I am quite pleased with the smell of this one. It is not so light that I cannot smell it after wearing it all night, and it is not so loud as to scream smell me either. I am awful at describing the different ingredients, but I can tell you, it is a pleasant combo. It is not too floral, nor is it too sweet. It states on description:
Sirene Perfume by Vicky Tiel, Launched by the design house of Vicky Tiel in 1994, Sirene is classified as a sharp, oriental, floral fragrance. This feminine scent possesses a blend of geranium, peach, violet, jasmine, and orange. Accompanied by the scent of woods and vanilla. It is recommended for daytime wear.
Hum…well like I said, I am no good at describing smells.. I thought I smelled strawberries in this mix. 😉
Really like this on myself and the bottle is unique to say the least. Frosted glass with women’s naked bodies turned back side out, interesting. 😉 Very different to most of my collection but well worth adding. I will use this one often.

I tested this today, not sure if it was the edt or edp. This is a seriously sweet perfume that reminds me very much of something from the 80’s. Poison, maybe, but I could be wrong. Too sweet for my taste, but if you do happen to like it the lasting power is incredible. After several scrubbings I still can’t get it off my wrist (wish I could). The bottle is beautiful though.

Got a sample of this from a MUA’er and I totally love it. It’s beautiful and romantic straight out of the vial. It’s a tiny bit sweet, spicey, floral and powdery….very well balanced in all respects though. I get spice, geranium, orange flower….kind of a mild oriental. I can see why people keep saying that guys love this. This is a fragrance YOU wear, instead of it wearing you. I’ve already had compliments today and a full bottle is on the way!

A strong, enveloping floral, like a siren pulling you under the water.
But don’t struggle–give in to her spell. Just a beautiful scent that surrounds you and changes your mood (my definition of a good perfume), and doesn’t smell like other weak or mixed florals, French perfumes especially. Also lasts and the carved frosted glass bottle is lovely to hold as well as to see.

I was given this as a gift when I was 16…more than 10 years ago and I recently purchased another bottle for the sake of nostalgia. Firstly, I must comment that I was not terribly discriminating at 16 and would wear anything given as a gift. Wearing this, my first impression was that MEN LOVE THIS!!! It lasts a long time in edp form and I smell no bug spray what-so-ever. It has some similarities to chanel #5 but more floral and less granny-inabottle. My girlfriends say it’s too strong and musky but I love it. Maybe it’s the nostalgia factor for me…and ALL men love it, which may or may not be a bonus for others.

Well, it’s like this…the name SIRENE kept catching my eye. this stuff has been on sale at my grocery for 10 USD..so i figured what the hey…
well, it is perhaps the worst smelling fragrance i have tried..MERMAIDS, SIRENES, SEA NYMPHS, MAENADS etc could not possible smell like this!. it is a combo of rancid fruit salad and rubber cement.
the imitation art nouveau atomizer, though is quite nice…
