This translates as Vanilla and Narcissus (Spring Daffodil). The baar soap I love, a warm spicy vanilla with light citrus and blackcurrant fruity undertones. The EDT however, was different. The Vanilla, citrus and floral notes lingered in the background, with the spicy oriental notes playing the main role. It smelt mostly like Calvin Klein “Obsession”. This fragrance is too heavy for me, like mens aftershave so I’ll stick to the soap.
Lasting power was excellent, around 8 hours+ on me. This is the longest in the range. Most of the others lasted only 2 hours so this is a good one.
Type – Floriental
Top Notes – blackcurrant, bergamot
Heart Notes – narcissus, gardenia
Base Notes – vanilla, tonka bean

Vanille & Narcisse by L’Occitane is my first fragrance purchase from this brand. They kept bringing out new scents over the years and while some were decent, none has found its way onto my vanity before. So it was more by chance that I sampled Vanille & Narcisse while waiting to be rung up for a skin care item, they had a tester sitting at the checkout. Not expecting too much, I sprayed it on a card first, and liked it enough to try it on my skin before leaving the store. I was very pleasantly surprised how it developed on my skin. First, a hint of citrus and then vanilla with some well-balanced white flowers and soft spicyness. I liked it enough to get a full bottle after a second sampling in the mall and I have worn it frequently this spring. Lasting power is good, about 3-4 hours, my skin is on the dry side.
Price range is medium, $74 for a 2.5oz spray, and I will repurchase this.
Notes listed: bergamot, narcissus, vanilla and tonka bean.

What attracted me to this perfume at first was its elegant packaging. Its sleek design is very attractive and looks lovely on a vanity table. After trying it, it is clear that the real prize is the fragrance itself. It is sweet and vanilla-y without being overwhelming. The scent is strong, but not overbearing and the bottom notes of the perfume linger all day. I usually respritz midday, but I cannot speak enough as to the warmth and comfort this scent brings. It was a lovely find and I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out.
