I received a sample of this in a swap from a very generous MUAer. I’m wearing it today and thought I’d review it while I’m still enveloped in the scent. It’s very engaging for a marine scent… it’s not as flat as I expected. When I put my nose right against my wrist, there’s definitely an overpowering salt-water smell. Almost pungent. But when the scent just wafts up naturally, it catches me off guard… like, ‘what is that yummy smell?’ Definitely makes me think of all things blue and fresh.
The only thing I don’t care for right now is how specific this fragrance is. It’s very out of place on this November day. I’m thinking that it would be perfect to purchase before a vacation, to smell amazing and amazingly appopriate the whole time… to bring the intoxicating scent of the ocean out with you at night… to really immerse yourself in a tropical getaway.
But, for now… at my desk… I smell good. Just a bit ‘off’.

Opens up with a truly lovely citrus and white musk blast — similar to Carnelian, and then quickly morphs into an ultra, ultra salty ocean scent, not unlike the drydown of Sage on my skin. Nice for a marine fragrance, but not remarkable by any means.

Hmmm, this is supposed to be a marine scent but mostly I smell fruit and white flowers. The marine aspect is there, but it feels overwhelmed. Not bad, but not me.
