What a beautiful ,subtle scent !
It’s very hard to describe for me. It’s subtle powder ,floral and clean musk I guess. Very abstract. If you love subtle abstract fragrances ,you will love this .At least give it a try . Lasting power is about average..nothing to write home about.
I wish it was available in 100 ml bottles. 50 mls is insufficient and the jump to a non spray 250 ml decanter is just ridiculous !
However ..signature scent worthy ..office friendly.

I have to say firstly that I do not like white caps on perfume bottles! Also, leather and suede notes in the same perfume? Hmmmm! What I smell in this perfume is leather and rose and a little lily-of-the-valley. White Suede does not have huge sillage, but quite enough for me! I really enjoyed wearing this for the first two hours and for a leather perfume, I found it quite sweet. However, for me those first two hours were the best and then the musk and amber became more prominent. I actually didn’t like the dry-down as much, which is a shame, because up until that point White Suede was looking promising! However, for leathers, nothing can beat Chanel Cuir de Russie and Cabochard!

I love soft white musks, so I was eager to check out all 4 of TF’s musks. This and the jasmine one were the only ones I liked. I found the other 2 to be offensive. This scent is nice, light, airy and super wearable. I couldn’t really detect the rose, but I’m not a huge rose fan anyway. While it was pretty, I’m not sure if I like it enough to spend almost $200 (after tax) on a 1.7 oz. bottle. When I spend more than 120 on a fragrance, I expect it to smell expensive, and I’m not sure this does. Plus Tom Ford is relatively new, especially when you compare to well established brands like Creed, which has been around for hundreds of years. Ounce for ounce, this TF costs more than most Creed scents,

Tom Ford Private Blend White Suede is one of four musk releases for Fall 2009. The other three are Urban Musk, Jasmine Musk and Pure Musk.
Fragrance description on the Tom Ford website: “White Suede exudes smooth white leather blended with elegant suede, heightened by saffron, warm amber, and sensuous musk. Notes: Bulgarian rose, saffron, thyme, Lily-of-the-Valley, white leather, suede, amber, sandalwood, and musk.”
I am always interested to try new musk fragrances, some of my favorites are Serge Lutens’ Clair de Musc and Kiehl’s No.1, I find White Suede to be a rather light fragrance, especially in comparison with other Tom Ford releases. The Private Blends all have terrific staying power on me, virtually all day. White Suede lasts a few hours and stays close which I consider a good thing – but it sure is a contrast to the other Private Blends which are more dominant on me. The opening of White Suede is somewhat smoky on my skin, a bit reminiscent of L’Artisan’s Vanilia, then the leather takes over along with the amber and soft thyme. I can not really detect rose, but I am not a real rose fan anyway. The amber in White Suede is mild and well-rounded and stays in the background, and so does the musk. I liked White Suede best of the four musks, although I find the musk almost too hard to detect, but overall I liked it enough to purchase a bottle. To me it is a cozy skin scent, perfect for fall.
Packaging: All four new musks are packaged in signature Tom Ford Private Blend 1.7 oz/50 ml spray bottles with white square caps. Retails for $180.
