I like this fragrance for the summer. It is definitely very floral and could get cloying if applied heavy handed I guess but that’s with all perfumes no? I don’t know how to explain this but this doen’t smell like ‘Tiare’ flowers OR maybe my idea of a tiare flower smell is tainted by the NARS Monoi Glow II Body Oil which I love! Yes yes, i think the NARS one has coconut oil mixed with it. Either way, if this is the typical tiare flower smell then I’m not a huge fan of it. This bottle is so gigantic that I don’t think i’ll ever finish it. Probably will get sick of it before finishing it up. Something that i can totaly live without, and for this reason i’m not repurchasing. Generic to me and hence I gave it 3 lippies because it’s not that bad but totally dosen’t deserve the hefty pricetag.

Lovely, sexy floral with a bit of creamy green on me. I first purchased this in 2003 and wore it on my wedding day. Staying power is very good on me (4-5 hrs). Still a favorite spring/summer scent.

I wish I had never bought this perfume. It is cloying and makes me feel queasy. I think I was seduced by the description, packaging etc. Whoops.

Liked how it smelled in the vial but not on my skin. Seemed very artificial, perfumey and cloying on the skin. More green and spicy in the vial. I detected a spicy carnation note in the vial but when first placed on the skin that carnation note quickly morphed into that chemical menthol twang that Serge Lutens Tuberose Criminelle has when first applied. Quickly dies down to something very smothery, acrid jasmine accord.

A new favorite! I was turned off initially by the sharp greenness of this scent in the bottle. Once on my skin, this smells heavenly–delicate floral without any heavy cloying cloud. This could definately become my everyday scent. IMHO, this is such a welcome change from the current trend in artificial smelling heavy fruit-y florals. UPDATE: this ended up going back. In the end, it was too heavy/cloying for me.

I adore this, the only thing I can compare this too for all of you who need to know what it compares too (people like me) but have no head to get around note breakdowns, it is very much like the old Laura Ashley no 1 (to me) has almost exact dry down. It’s light enough to wear during the day as well.
I will buy this, but perhaps not too frequently as it is a bit spendy for me!

I dont know what the other reviewers are talking about. To me, this smells like cigarette smoke covered up with cheap perfume. Needless to say, I did not like it one bit.

I liked this so much I bought it for my wedding. It’s quite sensual but with enough floral notes to lighten it – it’s very summery and a little exotic. Interesting – and a little goes a long way.

Kristen’s review says it all. It’ a light floral with a “clean fresh” scent and a hint of green. it’s absolutely perfect and never overwhelming or cloying. the perfect srping/summer scent. chantecaill’e fragrances are especially good for those of us who usually do not care for frangrance.
