Peach, honey, osmanthus, cacao, vanilla. What’s not to like – if you are into this sort of stuff, of course. I like osmanthus, peach and cacao notes so much that this could easily be a blind buy and I could imagine rotating this with The One. I’m very happy to have sampled it though – because it doesn’t work on me. This is, thus, a highly subjective review and I hope this fragrance performs better on others. It could be delicious.
The Scent Intense opens with a blast of sweet notes but very quickly turns into a strong biscuit smell on me. Slightly burnt biscuits that may have been left for a tad too long in the oven. I want to say biscotti even but that’s because this fragrance makes me think of Marc Jacobs’s Biscotti multiplied by ten. Or slightly caramelized brown sugar. At its strongest, I even thought of Gliss’s black keratin shampoo which has a deep cocoa smell.
After this blast, The Scent Intense simply disappears on my skin. All I get is an indescript vanilla and cacao skin scent. I definitely want to give it another chance, maybe sampling it together with its original. For the time being though, I’m not impressed at all despite my love of all these notes.
