Ordered a 4 oz. bottle of “pure” Egyptian Musk oil which I have been wearing about 20 years, this is the most watered down I have ever seen. It did not smell the way it should even if it was as potent as it should be. Severely cut and absolutely NOT pure. I contacted them regarding the $7.99 shipping charge and they were not willing to work with me, but I still ordered because the price would have been good had the oil been good quality. I let them know I was extremely disappointed with my purchase and requested a return label so I could send the oil back for a refund. I was told that I need to send it back at my expense, they would not reimburse any of my shipping costs, AND they would charge a 25% restocking fee. I would not recommend anyone to this website which is unfortunate because I know a lot of people who would have been great customers. Read and trust the reviews about this company, I wish I would have read first because these people are absolutely right. They are falsely advertising severely cut oils as pure and they should get in trouble for that!

My first order was exceptionally large and out of the entire order twelve items, two of the most important to me was the Chanel Antaeus and the Gucci Pour Homme 2003 versions and these two were affected. The wrong perfume scents took place of the two most important ones to me. I know the prices are great and inexpensive however it’s the principal of the whole ordeal. Now I “me” the paying customer having to get screwed out of my first purchase and only purchase. I will not purchase from these idiot’s again. Instead I will purchase through European perfumes for now on because I know it will be errorless and a painless transaction. The common sense is more rather a common headache!

Very disappointed as I was excited that this company had scents that most companies don’t carry. I ordered six oils. They only last about 45 minutes and although they mostly smell ok, they don’t really smell like the perfume they are supposed To be duplicating. The “Tigress” smells absolutely nothing whatsoever like Tigress. The “Angel” flanker smells incredibly, headache-inducingly cheap. I did speak to customer service and she said that I had ordered things that weren’t among their most popular and that I should check the list of the popular ones! I ordered the ones I wanted! If you’re selling a product, it should be the best product you can make. I certainly won’t buy here again and I feel bad that I sent their info to a friend and she already ordered hers. I would have told her to forget about it. The ONE that has a kind of sexy smell is the duplication of Estee Lauder’s Sensuous. I may actually wear it. Oh well. Back to “Goldstar” in New York. Theirs are often better than the “real.” They just didn’t have some of the ones that Common Scents had, so I thought I would give them a try. Lesson learned.

Glad I came here to research reviews of The Common Scents’ oils. I too am a bit disappointed because I’ve invested so much money in their company. Either quality control standards are low or they are heavily diluting their products. I have purchased uncut oils online from The Scentsational Shoppe and Exotic Fragrance Oils Inc They are awesome but have a smaller selection of products. One ounce of the uncut oils at both sites range from four to six dollars a bottle, while The Common Scents’ oils are approximately $2.79 or less (if your purchase more). I guess I am receiving what I pay for, but I agree you have to reapply or slather on for the fragrance to have any silage or lasting affect. I’ve also noticed that the fragrance in the purse size (1/3 ounce bottles) is a bit stronger than in the one ounce bottles. It is likely that the larger size bottles are more heavily diluted. I suggest you purchase both a 1/3 ounce and one ounce size of each of your favorite oils. Rub together in your hands before applying. Or, to purchase even more for less,The Common Scents also has an overstock/clearance section. Click on the list at the site and a huge selection is offered (but not in the 1/3 ounce size).

These roll on perfume oils are a 2/5….they are ok but you can definitely tell they are made with cheap ingredients. The oils have a weird synthetic essence to them that I dont particularly like. The designer scents I ordered (chanel n*5 , chanel n*19, Si by armani, Fame by lady gaga, and Angel by TM) are not close enough to be dupes to the real ones..I mean they dont smell awful or bad but you can tell they are not what they are trying to be lol. They smell similar but are off in a way that I cant really describe…just missing the depthness that I crave from the real brands.
The regular scents are nice, white rose smells like a white rose, vanilla bean is vanilla..amber musk is amber musk…you cant really go wrong with these regular, nothing too special kind of fragrances, although they still smell cheap/synthetic. The only one I didnt like out of my batch is cotton candy, though it smells ok ..it just doesnt smell like cotton candy AT ALL so i was disappointed.
The containers are cheap…glass bottle, plastic roll ball, and cheap plastic caps. The caps dont screw on very well and there are few that screw on crooked no matter which way I try to put it on right!
I think the $9 shipping and handling is steep and unnecessary, especially for USA only and such small orders…they should really offer $5 S&H for smaller orders i dont really undrstand why they charge so much…
Overall you get what you pay for, cheap price (1/4 oz roll ons for $1.30 ) cheap quality, though they arent awful however I wont be buying again as I want to try other brands that may have better quality than this!

I am a first time buyer. My first products were Daisy by Marc Jacobs and Juicy couture.
The packaging was exceptional. Each bottle was wrapped in a thick bubble wrap and absolutely no leakage at all.
The fragrance was absolutely breathtaking and long lasting. I am so impressed by such beautiful fragrances that it completely floored me.
( I will be honest I have never tried the real name brand fragrances so I have nothing to compare it to.). I am extremely surprised by such a beautiful fragrant scents – especially considering some of the mixed reviews.
I am so pleased with the first order that I bought roughly 8-9 more oils and will be adding another review after having a chance to try them.. I was also able to get a promotional discount which brought my amount down to almost $20.00. Now I dont know about you but I have tried discount codes in an attempt to save money with prior products and all the past codes I tried were denied. I was very pleased that the promotional code did indeed work and reduced my bill by 20% . That to me is a very good sign of a reputable company.
If I were to buy the same perfumes at other perfume oil distributors it would have cost me at least bare minimum of $75.00-$100.00 and if I were to order these perfumes at name brand price I would have paid $1000.00’s of dollars.
To conclude this review I am very pleased with packaging, speed of shipping, shipping costs, invoice description of what is ordered and quality of fragrances. I am so very delighted to have discovered this company and already have saved an enormous amount of money had I shopped elsewhere for these fragrances. I am not being paid for this review nor anyone has asked me to do so. The motivating factor is my appreciation and being absolutely delighted of having fantastic perfumed oils to use at a fraction of normal costs.
Sincerely
Diane

I have ordered from this company several times to scent soap, lotions, and bath bombs that I make. Some of the fragrances are winners some are not. They have been very good about returning the ones that weren’t. Also shipping was very fast. I mean, for the price, in my opinion it’s worth the gamble to have 8 out of 10 be really good.
For the record, Narciso Rodriguez “for her”; Prada “infusion d’iris”; Prada “Candy” are spot on. Ombre Rose and Jo Malone “Blue Agave & Cacao” are a little different and actually better than the originals. I have over a 100 bottles of common, niche, rare and vintage originals and while these don’t replace my originals, in most cases they complement the original versions quite well.

The oils here are like water and are really diluted so they have no scent. After ordering 2 bottles, that’s my last visit to the common scent and any site that is even affiliated with them ( purebodyoils, bodyoils4less, and essentialoil4less, fragranceoilwarehouse, perfume-oils.com). Any company that has to keep changing their name or create multiple websites to fool past unhappy customers is obviously a real scam.

I have ordered from this company many times & they usually are pretty good, BUT, I just recently purchased 10 1oz roll on oils. The scent was a scent I have ordered from them many times and absolutely loved HOWEVER, this time it smells HORRIBLE!! The scent is completely off. I emailed them to complain & they are useless! They made me send them a picture of one of the rollers, saying they need to determine that it actually came from their company! WHAT??? Of course it did! Also they do NOT take items back. I put up a huge fight threatening to dispute the charge with my credit card. Finally they told me they would make a fresh batch & send it out to me. I am still leery though. I don’t know if the scent will still be off when I receive the new batch. Needless to say I will NEVER be buying ANYTHING from this company again!!!!

The first time I ordered from The Common Scents, I was really into “Hypnotic Poison” by Christian Dior. I accidentally ordered “Midnight Poison” and happened to have the original scent that my mother gave me already. I compared the two and was disappointed, it smelled like a perfume that lost it’s characteristics a bit-and I told the company. The representative was extremely helpful and understanding and just told me to send it back and I would be able to exchange.
After exchanging it back for hypnotic and having the old original bottle of the real stuff I was out of, I found that it was extremely close. I see a lot of people noticing that some are spot on and others are not as far as fragrances go, and I would have to say that I too noticed that. Also, it is very light, but the issue I was having before was that I couldn’t stand having the spray because a month after purchasing any expensive spray perfume with alcohol, I noticed I became irritable to the scent. This is the perfect amount of smell, because the whole room shouldn’t have to smell your perfume, just the people you care enough about to get close to.
The price for the rollers (which are VERY high quality) is outstanding. I have paid more for a 1 week sample of ‘name brand’ perfume than I have for 10 of these 1/3 oz vials. It would be a shame not to at least try this company out to see how your favorite perfume compares. Also… their version of Gucci II type (M) is spot on. My husband’s actual cologne bottle was stolen from him in college after I had given it to him for his birthday and out of curiosity I ordered from here. I just ordered another larger version of it because I could not tell the difference and he liked it better than the cologne spray.
I would recommend the company for product quality, shipping, courtesy, and price.
