LOVE this fragrance! but be forewarned..it is heavy on the first spritz. When it ‘adjusts’ it is a gorgeous soft whisper of tropical
orange blossoms and jasmine. The accomplishment is what every perfume should do..when you walk in a room, it wafts enough
to have people ask what you are wearing. The hard part is finding an authentic bottle, the knock-offs are awful.I actually hoped that
DVF would re-release it ,for a new generation to enjoy..

This is the review of the vintage from the 1970s. My grandmother and aunts all wore this in the 1970s and 80s. (My grandmother started it; she had jasmine bushes and was fond of the white floral category). I wore remnants of their bottles for years before I rebelled into Chanel 19 and asorted men’s fragrances. I remember a fresh green white floral that was distinctly Big jasmine. MUA Chanel22 says that this reminds her of SL a La Nuit; I think I would agree with that except that this was more fresh green and crisp. Feminine with a capital F.
This category of fragrance is not really me; if I were to chose a white floral, I would pick one with a softer warmer dry down. Although it has nuclear sillage and is often the subject of unpopular reviews, Guerlain Mahora does eventually turn into a sandalwood tinged soft landing.
If I wore any big white floral, I would never spray it, but dab sparingly to reduce the sillage and power.

I remember loving Tatiana in the ’80s, as a teenager. Its sharp green opening and voluminous white floral heart just went so well with my flowered leggings and bigshirts, with a flower behind one ear!
I know the current formulation is crap, so I hunted down a cheap vintage bottle on eBay (vintage has the word “Tatiana” in all lowercase). Well, the nice green gardenia up top instantly brought back good memories… but then came the poopy, poopy jasmine. Oh, such poopy jasmine. I honestly couldn’t tell whether someone had just defiled the bathroom or if it was my perfume.
Guess I had more tolerance for indoles back then.

Leave it to Dana to take a pleasant, somewhat classy floral fragrance and ruin it into a cheap nasty urinaceous stench.
I wore this in the 80s in college. It was a nice floral that smelled somewhat mysterious and at least a little classy. I tried this newer Dana version and it smells very cheap and, well, nasty. So THAT’s why the little bottles are at the 99 cent store. RIP Tatiana.

I got a tiny bottle of this at the 99Cent store. I thought it would be the same stuff as it was back in the day………..OH, NO, it ain’t! This smells SO watered down! YUCK! The older version was crisp and sharp in the beginning, but dried down to a nice vibrant floral fragrance. I remember how it stung my eyes! And I almost didn’t like it! This new crap smells of something cheap, like something was just tossed in here! Why does everyone mess with a good thing? It’s beyond me! Also, if I remember correctly, and it’s been a long time!, the liquid in the original formula was clear, this was a urine color. The original…………..that was fantastic!

I haven’t tried the one out by Dana. I own the vintage DVF Tatiana Cologne. A gorgeous salty white floral.

Godawful travesty of what it was in the 70’s/80’s. What a shame, as this was a gorgeous floral once. Now, I don’t find it wearable at all. I bought some and threw it away (which I almost never do). Thin, synthetic and empty. Don’t waste your time if you knew it back in the day. You will regret it.

I bought a bottle of this on eBay just to add it to my vintage fragrance collection… I remember liking this a lot 20 years ago for its sweet blend of jasmine and gardenia… but OMG the “new” formula smells like fake jasmine bug spray. Truly, truly nauseating– I couldn’t wait to wash it off. And I wear heavy fragrances well. I can’t explain it– I remember it being so sweet and girly– but now it is a one-note disaster.

This is a flashback to the early 90’s for me. I do remember it smelling better back in the day. I have to agree the new formula it does smell cheaper than the orginal formula of years past. I got mine from biglots after x-mas and it was dirt cheap! A gift set of 2 bottles for 6 bucks when they were getting rid of holiday gift sets. This is a nice floral sent. A mix of gardenia and jasmine. Nice.. aire..light. Perfect for spring.

WHAM! SMACK!! These flowers are for YOU!!! A big bouquet of white flowers is SMACKED into your nose when you answer the door. Feeling a bit dazed, you put them in a vase and later get wafts of actually enjoyable fragrance coming from the space they are in. Yes, Tatiana is fairly powerful, and somewhat clumsy in it’s execution, but it settles in nicely and is lovely on a warm sunny day. The packaging is pretty tacky, but since I store all my fragrances in their boxes in a cupboard it dosen’t matter to me. I’d buy this again if I ever finished the bottle I own, but it has been discontinued. Good sillage and lasting power, which for me is a plus as I have problems with longevity for most perfumes.
