I love Pacifica’s branding/packaging (so pretty!) and several of their reasonably priced, practical to transport rollerball fragrances. My favorite is the Indian Coconut Nectar, which was part of a 2017 specialty set that also included Sugar Amber Dreams (a lovely brown sugar vanilla fragrance especially great in winter) and this one, the Tahitian Gardenia.
Fragrance is so personal and thus it’s hard to review it fairly, but Tahitian Gardenia was not a winner for me. It’s, of course, very floral. Pacifica describes it as a combination from gardenia, jasmine, and citrus notes, but the jasmine is overpowering to my nose. Overall, IMHO, the fragrance comes off as too sweetly floral as well as a bit too mature.

This is one of my favorite fragrances. Lush, tropical gardenia. Smells expensive. On me it lasts all day and I can even smell it on me in the morning. Cruelty free, natural as well. I adore this one.

My previous experience with a Pacifica fragrance was the Spanish Amber spray, which I loved…and quickly ran out of. I would love to buy more but am currently broke and don’t see that changing anytime soon.
Something kind of strange happened to me with the onset of the cool months this year. I had so been looking forward to using my winter fragrances, wanting to break out the incense and spices. Then, when the cool weather began, all I wanted was to smell like I was on an island or at the beach. It feels like a craving to counteract the fall and winter with sun- and sea-related scents, and I just can’t get enough of them. I had a really good Ulta coupon (n/a) and I like the Pacifica brand, so I bought the Tahitian Gardenia rollerball. Here’s what the Pacifica website says about the perfume: “This heady, vintage-inspired blend showcases the sacred Gardenia bloom, a symbol of love, unity, grace and strength. It’s sweet, smooth and slightly citrusy aroma is reminiscent of Jasmine, Sweet Orange and Tea Leaves.” It’s a pretty accurate description, and the fragrance is lovely. I wouldn’t say striking or head-turning, but elegant and pretty. (I’ve been using this together with a generic coconut-scented oil that I have, and it makes a good combination.) The letdown is that I really like to smell my fragrance, and with this, you have to get close to the area where you applied it for that to occur–there’s little to no sillage. Also, the scent seems to last a very short time on me. Fortunately, the box and rollerball are small, so you can easily carry them with you for a refresher.
I’ve read reviews elsewhere saying that people had trouble getting the rollerball to work, but I had no problems with mine.
I love that Pacifica is cruelty-free. Also, the prices for the rollerballs and the solid perfumes are good for the broke among us, and you can try out different fragrances without breaking the bank. I think almost anyone would like these items, but especially those who prefer subtler scents.

Really nice gardenia/monoi tiare flower scent. I have this in the rollerball version, and I love that you can buy different formats at various price points. Pacifica is not all-natural, but they do not contain phthalates and they are cruelty-free. This scent is not totally unique but it is an affordable option.

This scent is so nice! Creamy and tropical gardenia, amazing for the warmer months. On me, this lasts 8+ hours and sometimes I can even smell it the morning after. It has a soft silage, just right and doesn’t overpower you or others. Great quality, affordable and really nice packaging.

I love Gardenia like Bodycology White Gardenia & Chanel Beige (dislike Sand & Sable, no offense sickly scent it smells cheap & gross!), the gardenia in this is sweet & pure but a bit peppery. I love it thou! $12 isn’t too expensive for a rollerball, the spray is a bit too much $ than I’m willing to invest in this but I love this! It’s beautiful. I’d repurchase this in rollerball form again thou. Kim K’s perfume the pink 1 has a similar gardenia note & can be had for $8 at Kmart in the body spray. I also do not get dissing a blind buy. It’s gardenia that’s just what u can expect 😉 lolz!! 😉 😉 😉

This is so beautiful. Creamy, sparkly, tropical. I have it in the body wash, body butter, spray and roll on and all are fantastic. It smells like Lana del Rey.
PS- why do people rate a product like perfume badly because they ordered before sniffing and are disappointed? Rate a product on its merits not because you “expected” something different. Also the fact that Gardenia is in the name should have tipped you off that it smells like….Gardenias.

Please make sure that you like gardenia before purchasing this, as it is a scent BOMB. I purchased the perfume and body butter, and oh my. So sweet — too sweet! — for me. I was expecting something more subtle, more natural. And that brings me to another issue: This brand (Pacifica) sells itself on its “natural” ingredients” but I wonder if it has synthetic/chemical contents, too. From the over-the-top scent I get from it, it seems highly likely. Next time, I’ll sample before I buy!

Very pretty and light but also fleeting.
A true gardenia/floral scent – sweet and white floral.
Bee-attractant!
Inexpensive and a lovely box and bottle.

Oh my, I so love this perfume. I bought the solid version in the little tin and it’s just dreamy. A really accurate Gardenia scent, soft, just following you around for some hours if you put it on your wrists. Some reviewers criticise that is doesn’t have a very long staying power but that is what I actually like. I can perfectly dose the amount I want so it stays as long as I want it. Just a whiff for myself for an hour or I take more and it lasts the whole day. I actually like all Pacifica solid perfumes but this is my favourite at the moment.
