Warning: this product can induce some serious sugar cravings! Imagine a cup of steaming warm sugary milk laced with toffee and caramel and with a touch of date liquor…that is what you will smell like, albeit only for a short time – but more about that and how to remedy it in just a moment….
My first experience of this scent was back in 2010 when Demeter used to have a room spray in ‘Sticky Toffee Pudding’. One spritz aimed at the center of my room and any visitor walking in would be near-guaranteed to exclaim ‘Mmmm’ before even greeting me lol. 8 years on and I still have this spray although I very rarely use it anymore since this (and all their room sprays) were discontinued :/ However at last spritz it was still EXACTLY the same as 8 years ago. No turning rancid with this one!
Now most Demeter PMU’s, especially the dessert themed ones, have a nasty tendency to morph on my skin into something chemical-y and burnt within seconds of applying. This is one of the few that doesn’t do that. I have this in miniature and full size cologne.
Granted: yes it does not last long, however it is almost as long lasting as ‘Caramel’ but there is a tip to make any of them last longer. Simply apply to your skin; the paired massage oil and spray on top of that once you have lightly rubbed in. This won’t make it last for hours (I have yet to figure out how to do that) however it will approximately double the time that it remains on your skin. The best part is the massage oils cost only a fraction of the PMU’s and are highly fragranced, more so than the PMU’s, and can be purchased as a stand alone just for the fragrance.
Although very rich, very sweet and gourmand, this is a comforting fragrance that always makes me feel tempted to dive into my dessert pantry. I don’t know if that’s a good thing but despite that it is my fave scent from the brand.

Way, way too sweet. Got it as a gift, so I can’t complain about “wasting money” or anything. But, it was simply too much. However, I noticed Demeter fragrances don’t last very long so I suppose that’s the upside. Sickly sweet and not my style. Plus, the alcohol was overpowering.

I wanted to love this scent – the smell is truly captivating!!! BUT: Has zero lasting power and no sillage. Seriously, lasts MAYBE 15 minutes if you put it on freshly moisturized skin. Love the smell – it is heavenly. It transports you to hearing a ‘Nawlins jazz band come down the street while having bread pudding at Commander’s Palace…. and it lasts a shorter time than dessert would. So, unless you are willing to spray it on every 15 minutes, I’d give it a miss. Sorry.

I remember this being EXTREMELY sweet, like sticky caramel. It’s a pretty good smell. Lasting power was okay.

Demeter fragrances are always hit or miss for me. The cons are always the same; high price tag for ZERO lasting power. But they’re fun. So I always get suckered in.
Anyway I got my hands on the big bottle of Sticky Toffee Pudding for a great price so tried it. WOW….I can’t say its Toffee exactly but it has that hint of caramel sweetness over condensed milk; like CSP Matin Calin but with a caramel hint.
Lasting power is pretty good on this one -over 2 hours which is HUGE for Demeter scents, but it wears VERY close to the skin and I only catch whiffs when I move. Its def a scent I wear when Im planning to cuddle with the hubby, or just fart around the house with a book. I wearit when I tutor and my kids always get a little closer to me -chuckles- the 7 yr old said I smelled “beautiful,” Guess the kid likes her candy 🙂
I did buy Demeter’s Condensed Milk at the same time and that one is going back because way too similar to this one and this is better.

This smells a bit like the burnt sugar on top of a creme brulee, but not quite like toffee pudding. It’s pleasant enough, but there’s a chemical note that doesn’t go away, the lasting power is awful, and it’s not terribly original.

I bought this fragrance in the “mini” size just to try it out. LOVE IT! It is an extremely comforting scent… like sweet sugar milk with a hint of toffee. This Demeter is my longest lasting. When I put it on my skin in the evening, I can still smell it on me in the morning. If you like CSP Matin Calin (Lait Sucre), you will probably love this one. I purchased a CSP decant and have to say that for me, Sticky Toffee Pudding left it in the dust! Not only was the scent better (to my nose), but the lasting power as well. FBW, as soon as my mini is done, I’m buying a 4-ouncer. If you don’t like milky scents or gooey sweet scents, STAY AWAY! Don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

Sticky Toffee Pudding is one of the best-smelling Demeters! The first blast of alcohol is offputting, but after that wears off, my skin smells of a delicious sweet and sugary caramel and condensed milk combination. I’m not sure if it’s quite toffee or pudding or sricky toffee pudding, exactly, but it sure smells delicious. The Demeter description says the scent focuses on dates and toffee. Again, I really don’t smell any dates (whcih I love to eat and to smell as a note in perfumes). This does smell to me like milky caramel, no more no less. And it really is fabulous. And I happily can say that this Demeter lasts quite nicely on me, for a change. I did spray quite a lot on, but even that usually doesn’t make a Demeter last that long on my skin. Sticky Toffee Pudding lasts satisfactorily enough. It’s such a good comfort scent for me. It truly smells good enough to eat, and even though I’ve never had sticky toffee pudding, I can almost imagine how delicious it must be if it tastes anything like this fragrance smells like. A good pick from Demter if you like very sweet and foody scents. And by the way, happily, I don’t get any sort of chemical or artificial notes from it after the alcohol evaporates off my skin a few seconds after application.

I bought this based on all the good reviews here, but I ended up not carring for it. It smells ok when you first spray it, but like another reviewer pointed out it’s a bit off when it dries down– smells a bit chemically to me. If you want a really yummy, warm chocolate scent, I would recommend Dessert Beauty’s Dreamy or Taste, and if you want a melty, caramely, honey scent I would recommend L’Occitane’s Honey Gentle Water or Dessert Treats Butterscotch Toffee.
