This is such a beautiful, energizing, happy and uplifting fragrance to me! It’s not too sweet or too “anything” – it’s a beautiful blend of notes (which I can’t describe) and every time I wear this I feel happy and hopeful. This is a scent that’s office-appropriate (although I’d recommend spritzing very lightly because it has decent sillage and, oddly for me, decent longevity too). Delightfully delicious fragrance!!

When I wear this I feel immediately uplifted. To me, this reinforces my personality or should I say the good sides of my personality! Rush 2 makes me feel alive, happy, bright and alert, yet calmly confident. It makes me want to get out of the house and live. It’s a social fragrance, it’s light enough for daytime and ‘enough’ to rock a party. It accentuates who you are and that’s the way this perfume plays out – it can be put together and lovely and the office and bright, zesty, fun and freespirited at a party.
I will keep buying this for as long as they keep making it. It can be hard to find in Australia, at least without paying an arm and a leg. But it is worth it, I will use it always. When I have a bottle I use it most days it is almost a signature summer fragrance for me. It’s fresh and clean but not like laundry, it’s sparkling but not like glittery champagne – more like the eyes of someone very healthy – that kind of sparkling. I feel like that all over when I wear this. It’s alive and bright and sexy but it’s not sleazy/stripper – rather it’s the kind of sexy that the boy next door would think of the girl next door when she wears something simple but wears it so well that it’s just, well sexy. The way her hair moves in the breeze, the sparkle in her eyes. That kind of sexy. It’s the personality thing. This is not a ‘girly’ tween fragrance, bit it’s far from being a ‘grown up serious’ perfume either. It’s too fun. There is nothing tweeny about this one though. Gucci has hit a home run with this one. I love it. I’m well into my 30’s..and I feel it’s one that makes me feel youthful. I get a lot of compliments with this one, from both men and women.
Personally, I really love the packaging, I have come to associate it with the INSTANT RUSH OF FEELING AMAZING AND ALIVE AND WELL AND HAPPY that comes from a single spray. I hold the square bottle maybe 15-20cm from my skin and spray. On the wrists and then maybe in front of me and walk into it at chest height so it hits my neck more subtly. You can overspray this and it’s not one you want to douse yourself in before being indoors. It doesn’t need it and neither do you. One to the wrists/inside of elbows forearms is perfect. In recent years I’ve found spritzing around the neck/ ears can be too much. The people near you smell it too much and so do you. I think a fragrance should be smelled by those nearest to you, brushing past a stranger on a train, in the street, at a party. This is not a loud perfume, it’s not flowery or powdery or spicy or girly or too grown up serious. It’s just the perfect combination of all things that trigger an emotional response that is just so unique from anything else I own.

LOVE this perfume. Discovered it while vacationing in St-Lucia many years ago. Have been wearing it since then. Get alot of compliments. Only problem….harder and harder to find. Why ? I hope they do continue to make it.
Sephora carries Gucci Rush but no longer Rush 2. Some say it is discontinued but if you look hard you can find it.

When I saw the packaging, I assumed this would be girly and youthful. For the former, it was TOO girly. Too many flowery tones, disgusting! As for the latter, there is nothing youthful about its smell. It smells like your mother’s perfume. And guess what, I gave mine to my mother and she loved it! This is the same person who loves Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds. Go figure.

This is such an awesome summery smell but it gets used up FAST..in fact this is the only perfume I have ever completely used up. It is a sweet, fresh smell that has an ok staying power. I really like the design of the bottle but it’s not very practical. Will probably repurchase, but I’m not sure.
Edit: did repurchase, fell in love with it again, added a lippie.

This is one of my all-time favorite fragrances. I first purchased it about 8 years ago on a cruise. I wore it all throughout my courtship with my hubby, so it brings back fond memories for me!
I’m really bad at describing fragrances, but it is fresh & sweet at the same time and not overpowering at all.
My biggest gripe (which is why i only gave this a 4) is that it doesn’t last long (on the skin or in the bottle!) After 2 sprays, I looked at the bottle and it literally went from being 100% full to being 90% full. The bottle isn’t really conducive to making a half/spray, but i’m going to try to do that from now on. I’ll save this for my special occasions because I’m afraid of running out. I found this on FragranceNet.com recently and purchased the biggest bottle they had. 🙂
Great summery fragrance if you’re looking to try something new and can get your hands on this.

I am so sad because i just ran out and it has long been discontinued from any department store. The last time i bought it at a little perfume store at the mall, so I guess i will do that again! It is one of my favorite perfumes. it’s soft, yet the smell lingers in your clothes and body until you take a shower! yes, i will re purchase again!

I love this perfume! i Have tried during the years loads of other perfumes, but this remains my no 1. I am never getting out of Rush 2 because i always buy a new one before the one I use is just at the begining. I use this perfume for 9 years now and I have never run out of it. It just the way it makes me feel… I can describe it…but it has happines memories involved. I have tried during time Thierry Mugler Alien, Nina Ricci Premier Jour ,Cacharel Scarlet and Amor Amor, Armani Armanimania, C Dior J`adore, D&G Light Blue, Kenzo Jungle Elephant, E Arden Mediteraneean, Stella McCartney, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Lancome, Estee Lauder, Laura Biagiotti, Gianfrancoferre… and so many many others. I have spent lots of money on perfumes because I get very easily bored by the smell and finally I give them away to friends and family while they are just quite new. The idea is that Gucci is the only perfume that I never got bored of and never will. It`s just a matter of senses.

I loved this in high school, but a few years later I’m not really sure why. I’ve always disliked overly sweet or flowery fragrances, and this is on the border of both. The packaging is adorable and it has a nice dry down, but it’s just a little too much and too girly.
