I was very hesitant to buy this one.the most top rated note is pachouli according to perfume review sites and I don’t like patchouli.also it’s a flanker of a classic perfume and I usually don’t like vintage fumes.but it’s cheap price(11$ for 3.4oz) and my history of good experiences with Ted Lapidus fragrances encouraged me to do the risk and blindbuy it..it was a great decision because it turned out that I LOVE it
I haven’t tried the original Rumba yet so I can’t compare them.this one doesn’t smell old or dated IMO.it feels like an 80s perfume with a modern twist and I find it easily wearable in modern life.
I can pickup patchouli.tones of it.but strangely most of the times it doesn’t bother me,still I wish it was a bit less dominant.I can also detect orange flower and honey and there’s a hint of rose.it can be a far cousin of Jean Paul Gautier Scandal (which is among my top favorites).and that one is 100$ here!
Rumba Passion is wearable year round.best suited for fall and spring(mild to slightly cool weather)and can be a great choice for evenings out or anywhere you want to be recognized as it’s feminine,seductive and memorable.it leaves a perfumed tail behind you as you walk so sillage is good,while longevity is amazing.it literally doesn’t go away until I take a shower!
It’s bottle is made of cheap materials,still I like the combination of colors red and black and I think it looks beautiful
If you like strong and sweet scents and orange blossom and patchouli with a touch of honey and rose seems in interesting to you make sure to try it..it worthes much more than it’s price tag

Rumba Passion is a flanker to the original Rumba, and yes they have some similarities, but Rumba Passion is a much simpler fragrance. The notes according to Fragrantica are:
Top note of orange blossom;
Middle notes of jasmine and rose;
Base notes of patchouli, vanilla and honey
Personally, I can only smell patchouli, orange blossom, honey and rose. So this is a pretty nice patchouli/rose bomb sweetened with the orange blossom and honey. My skin amplifies the patchouli, so it can smell a little dusty if I apply it to dry skin, however if I apply it over freshly moisturised skin, I get much more of the honeyed floral notes.
Sillage: moderate on my often perfume killing skin
Longevity: 12 hours plus, basically until you have a shower or bath (and this is an eau de toilette!!!)
All up a lovely deep patchouli/rose combo and one of the few rose based perfumes that never turns sour on me.
