I bought this for the violet and the sandalwood. Alas, I got no sandalwood but I did get a whole bunch of unending violet. I wanted a blend or a “fade,” and didn’t get it, so I would not repurchase.
Lasting power is absolutely excellent, but it is a very, very, VERY sweet scent, and the sandalwood never came through on me, so I was disappointed.
The bottle is nice, though.

Well….I do not want to down play the newest fragrance in the Avon line but here goes. I like the way this smells upon first spray but that is about where the like ends for me. It quickly fades away to a dull scent that reminds me of a smell I cannot put my finger on. It is not a bad smell but one I just am not crazy about. It reminds me of some of the older drug store scents when it fades away. In order to enjoy this fragrance, I have to respray about every 2 hours. IMO this makes this perfume not such a good deal at their offering price of $16, but that will go up in the future Even at $16, having to spray a 1.7 oz. bottle every couple of hours means this bottle will not last. I think it is the plum that hits my nose more than any other note. I smell very little violet but that after smell must be a musty sandlewood or just a musty musk scent. It adds a lot of cheap to this scent. I have tried spraying it on my clothes to see if it lasts longer but it does not. I always spray a new fragrance on myself before I go to sleep and depending on what it smells like the next morning tells me how well the fragrance is mixed and if I like it. This scent does not last long enough to decide anything other than I do not like the after scent it leaves behind on myself or my clothes. Wish I could compare it to another scent that leaves such a trail but I can’t. I don’t keep scents that hit me wrong like this. The bottle is cute and it is purple on the bottom with a lighter color towards the top. Nothing fancy actually other than the color. Try it for your selves. Nothing to lose with Avon because if you do not like it, you can either trade it in or get your money back. I have not decided whether I want to get rid of my bottles yet or not. Being an Avon lady, I got the 2 bottle deal which they never give me a discount though because I cannot order enough Avon to get discounts. I can’t order enough because there is really not that much stuff that I need all the time. 😉 So, what to do with 2 bottles of this stuff! I put no to buying it again because I am sure I have enough to last a very long time.

I really enjoy this one….the bottle is pretty (gorgeous, actually)…I love the direction they are taking this line with the new branding.
Opening spritz is a rich sweet-tart candy like plum—not a tooth-achingly sweet, but an effervescent sweetness. I get a bare hint of powdery violet in the middle notes, but the plum and sandalwood are the stars of this show. The sandalwood is tempered though by the powdery violet and the sweet plum to give it a nice rounded almost creamy scent. It is never sharp or harsh. On me, it lasted about 5 full hours before I needed respritzing, but Avon has made this particular “Rare” line so very affordable that it’s not a hardship to respritz.
I wholeheartedly recommend!
