I was never into the summer editions of Fantasy flankers until last year’s [Sunset Fantasy], and this year’s edition is the first Fantasy flanker made under a different company then the other editions, so I was curious how well they’d be able to do…
There is something green and leafy alongside the sweet-but-fresh citrus & berry fruit blend, and it’s accompanied by the candy floss accord, that comes and goes throughout Rainbow Fantasy’s wear – when I say candy floss, I mean a watered down sugar-water version,not a heavier, syrupy version. The floral notes are light and stay behind the fruits and candy floss; I can make out the listed peony, but I can’t separate any of the others. A simple blend of musky amber and sandalwood develops within an hour and accompanies the lingering lime, peony and candy Floss accord for the final drydown – the fragrance is light and close-to-the-skin, so it’s hard to say how long it wears, though when I wear it to bed I can still catch an occasional hint the next morning, so spritzing some on your bra or tank is ideal for longer wear.
Official Scent notes; cloudberry, pear leaf, finger lime, peony, water lily, jasmine, woody notes, crystal amber and cotton candy.
This isn’t anything close to being original and doesn’t remind me of Fantasy much, but for a seasonal limited edition release that is fairly low priced and will be kept on various offers during it’s in-store run, Rainbow Fantasy is a pretty good buy – it just says ‘happy’ and ‘fun’ to me. So if you want a more casual and relaxed spring/summer fragrance, collect Britney Spears fragrances, or want a non-offensive fragrance as a gift option for someone, then Rainbow Fantasy is worth checking out.
