Pure soap, like a very rich, finely-milled, expensive hand soap. There’s a burst of tangerines at the outset, then it turns musky with sweet green floral and layered with an airiness. There are some woody undertones to balance it, but they are quite faint. This has a vintage, almost romantic feel to it, somewhat like a Victorian era. Sung sits very close to the skin lasting a few hours. Perfect for a day strolling through antique shops nestled in a quaint village.

I used to get many complements from guys. But I think now, there’s too many perfumes that are similar to this scent. So it probably not as special as it was when it was first introduced. I still think it’s a nice Spring time scent.

On me, Pure smelled very much like CK Escape, except without the melony sweetness – a semi-dry green light floral with a tangy edge almost like citrus. It’s not bad but not the kind of scent I reach for often. I don’t feel comfortable in these ‘sharper’ kinds of scents anymore as I’ve come to prefer scents that have a softer and cozier feel. No sale.

Very soapy and clean smelling, but it ended up smelling a bit inexpensive ( I don’t want to say cheap, but it didn’t smell like it cost much.) Not a lot of lasting power as other reviewers have noted. Clean and simple, but really reminded me more of a BBW type of scent.

This was my everyday work fragrance a few years ago. I went through a whole bottle of it, went away from it for a while, and now….what happened? Before I bought it again, I tried it and realized I have changed or become immune to the fragrance. It lacks staying power and just doesn’t seem the same anymore, which is a big disappointment. It is a “tailored” scent – clear, not heavy, very appropriate for daytime, not overpowering, and yet it has many notes. I didn’t get a strong floral out of it all, unlike another reviewer here.

Even EDP didn’t last very long on me; something very generic about it; sweet but not interesting

Cute bottle, but it stings the nose too much.

Ok, so I bought this unsniffed based on the reviews here…how crazy was that? Anyway, at first it starts off clean but after a few minutes it turns into something so cloying. I couldn’t stand it! If you like strong florals, this might suit you. Just not my cup of tea. They should have named this ‘Pure Sh!t’

This review is for the Alfred Sung Pure liquid talc. The fragrance is fine: clean, fresh, soft, floral, very nice. The texture of this stuff is another story. It doesn’t really absorb into your skin so when you rub it on, it goes on like lotion but it ends up as big, giant white streaks on your arms and legs. I looked like I had brushed up against wet paint. Maybe you’re supposed to really rub it in, I don’t know. I am not bothering to find out.

Like Camay, this doesn’t always smell the same on me. Sometimes it’s perfectly clean and elegant, at other times – just awful. Lately it’s been working for me though & the name describes it perfectly when it does: pure.
