This is a beautiful light floral. I definitely get the freesia notes in this and the dry down is the lovely musk and sandalwood. A great spring or summer scent.

Precious Heart is the lightest Guerlain I’ve tried, and I really do love it. I received a decant in a swap and it immediately caught my attention. Sweet, tart, and tangy, it’s great for the summer, but would also be a nice pick-me-up in the fall. A real winner.

I’ve had this sample for a long time–so many of the newer Guerlain fragrances are nose-stingingly tart that I assumed this would be, too. What a lovely surprise…a grapefruity-floral that smells good on me! The grapefruit note must be synthetic–real grapefruit notes (e.g. Pampelune) are not nice on me at all. Considering how light it is at first, Precious Heart is very tenacious, lasting all day and then some. Slightly piquant, sheer grapefruit and verbena segue nicely into tender osmanthus and magnolia, cushioned by creamy, poufy, delicate white musk. The base is dominated (a bit too much) by wood notes (cedar and sandalwood) and warmed by a small dose of cardamom. The grapefruit and florals remain throughout the drydown. Pretty, cheery summer scent. Composed by Frank Voelkl (who also did SJP Covet).

This is a lovely light fragrance that smells really green to me. I don’t tend to go for ‘green’ fragrances, but I really love this one (even though I cannot smell the precious osmanthus note which I love). DH once mentioned he could smell melon in it, and since then I’ve been desparately trying to find that note (knowing for sure I’d love that too) without success. hmmmm…..
This isn’t your typical Guerlain, but I’d happily repurchase if only it wasn’t ltd ed. Perhaps Guerlain will relaunch this under another guise as they had with Love Is All/Insolence!?

Precious Heart is fairly nondescript on me. It starts off very green, but soon softens down into a watery floral with some freesia and osmanthus, underlaid with an aquatic, melony note. For such a light perfume it is surprisingly long-lasting. However, it is not outstanding enough to warrant buying a bottle.

Upon opening Precious Heart is really green and fruity. Tho, it’s not a good quality fruit note. It’s very antiseptic smelling. Precious Heart is very long lasting, tho I cannot get pass that insipid antiseptic fruitiness. This does soften the longer you wear it, but not worth the 2 hours of rotten greens and antiseptic fruit.

Oh – oh. I got a decant in a swap and it’s starting to grow on me. Each time I try it on, it smells better & better. I wasn’t too impressed with it at first. I thought it smelled pretty in the decant but insipid on me. After my fourth or fifth attempt at wearing it, I experienced the most perfect, softest, smoothest, green/citrusy/floral(?) I’ve ever worn. I have one application left…I feel that I need the full bottle… UPDATE: This gets 5 lippies now. I’m buying it.

A great fragrance, the only one which doesn’t give me a headache in a hot summer day. As somebody already metioned – it’s like a breeze, fresh and light, but very long lasting. Being an oriental frag gal this one is not tipically me, but even so, I love it.

Fresh and light, almost transparent Green Floral. Notes: Verbena, Grapefruit, Freesia, Osmanthus, Magnolia, Cardamom, Cedarwood, Musk, Sandalwood. A bit “aquatic”, too. Probably not very original, but anyway it is a pretty elegant, chic fragrance. Beautiful bottle.

Precious Heart is like the sweet embrace of a warm and breezy day. The osmanthus gives it a watery freshness; the freesia a full floral richness. The cardamom adds a bit of a spike, while the cedar gently anchors it in a soft woody cradle. Perfectly balanced, as we expect a classic Guerlain fragrance to be, I give this fragrant valentine a full five lippies!
