I absolutely love fragrances and never leave the house without wearing any. This is a very high quality fragrance and not your typical Patchouli scent. Strong and heavy in a good way. Very sensual and sexy. I always receive many compliments when wearing this scent. This was my first Private Collection scent from Tom Ford and it’s lasted over two years with regular use. Perfect fragrance for fall and winter seasons. Currently have a total of five scents from the Private Collection and they are all equally exquisite. Pricey, but very well worth it. I’ve used Creed and Clive Christian and anything by Tom Ford remain my favorite.

I was not a patchouli lover until I fell for Angel .
Like its name.. this is a primarily a patchouli scent ..it does not smell like straight up patchouli oil .. no fear !
It is elegant ..somewhat ‘ vintage ‘ in smell.. dark ,deep, interesting ,mysterious and unisex. This is not your cleaned up Coco Mademoiselle patchouli. Think more in terms of Chanel Coromandel .
I sprayed once and it is tenacious. I believe if you bought the 50 ml bottle it would last a good 6 -12 months or more with a spray a day . In this way , Patchouli Absolu is a good buy .

I tried this on a few days ago on a very warm day spent shopping…
One spray on ONE wrist, and the lovely salesman told me to wander around and see what I thought…
Well, about 2 hours later, after lunch and more shopping, I raced back to the counter to see if I could buy it (not realizing it WASN’T OUT YET).
This is definitely full bottle worthy if you love patchouli. Like it has been mentioned below, this is a very smooth, sweet patchouli.
First spray is a bit minty/camphor like and very very fresh…this lingers for a bit, edges getting softer (but not fainter) as it moves into a richer heart of warm, almost-cookie or chocolate patchouli feeling. It was almost edible!! The drydown continued, getting sweeter and less fresh, deepening into a bit sweeter patchouli that DOES smell blended with a nice warm amber. This is definitely a unisex scent, but on my skin it was almost foody (and I was ok with that)…If you love patchouli you will DIE for this one. I am on the list to be called the second this is available for sale, it is literally that good.
I was able to smell this on my wrist from ONE spray for roughly 10 hours, and then used my very generous sample to put it on before bed to give me cozy sweet dreams.
