I like Michael Kors EDP but I don’t seem to reach for it often. It’s sweet but not in a candy or foody sort of way. It’s sweet like flowers, tuberose to be exact. Additionally there are two odd notes in Michael Kors EDP that aren’t present in most perfumes: banana and some sort of plastic. It’s like sniffing a banana Laffy Taffy but with the plastic wrap still attached. I know that sounds unpleasant, but it really is a nice scent and also helps differentiate Michael Kors EDP from other tuberose/ gardenia heavy fragrances, namely Marc Jacobs For Her (his original fragrance in the plain square bottle). It really is a nice perfume as long as you’re into tuberose or even gardenia heavy fragrances.
My only complaint with Michael Kors EDP is the bottle; actually the silver band to be exact. It attracts fingerprints and smudges and drives me nuts.
I’ve heard Michael Kors EDP is popular in Los Angeles. I can imagine this fragrance blossoming beautifully in the sunny weather of southern California and also Hawaii.
If you test out Michael Kors EDP but desire something lighter, then try Diptyque Do Son EDT (a love of mine). If you test out Michael Kors EDP but want less tuberose, then try Marc Jacobs For Her. If you test out Michael Kors EDP and hate it, then you’re probably not a tuberose fan =)
EDIT (4/16/2019): I sampled Narcotic V aka Narcotic Venus by Nasomatto and it smells like a better, more natural, higher quality dupe of Michael Kors. If you like Michael Kors but don’t enjoy that artificial plastic scent, then try out Narcotic V. It is about $185 for 1oz, so Narcotic V is much more expensive. You can get a $12 sample from Luckyscent to see if it’s worth the extra cash.

I started to wear this when it first came out and I still love it! It really does wear nicely and all my friends and family always say when they smell this it reminds them of me. I was trying other purfumes and this one just is my top favorite I did actually buy a bottle of MK 24k purfume which was a sweeter smell and I really like that one also! I also believe many of these purfumes do work with body chemistry and this one just wears well I guess for me. I would definilty recommend this, it’s definilty my go too!!

One of my favorite scents ever. It’s intoxicating! It’s creamy, glamorous, sexy, and very exotic. It reminds me of a night full of passion while on a tropical island. I love the incense note in it. If you love tuberose, I’d strongly recommend this one. Be careful applying it, because all you need is a little bit, or it could be overkill for not only you, but for the people around you. However, 1-2 spritz is perfect and lasts all day for sure. The packaging: it has a nice, sleek look. That being said, I don’t really care for the part that you press down to spray it. I can live with that though. This is one-of-a kind and will always be a gem in my collection!

I first bought this a couple years or so ago, and it remains one of my fave scents. I always get compliments on this. Nice, fresh, clean scent. Can be a little overpowering if sprayed too heavily, so a little does go a long way. This and the original Coach perfume (Not Poppy!) are my two all-time faves. I like this mainly for Summer, but could be worn year-round. Great for day to night, also, I think. Safe for workplace but also can be worn for a night out. Just my advice is use less than you think. It is not necessarily overpowering, but a little does go a long way! Why use 3 or 4 sprays when you get the same effect and lasting power as one or two sprays..?
I am not a fan of the (imo) weird bottle/nozzle/sprayer, but..ehh..whatevs!!
I get that they maybe were going for clean and classy-looking (which kind of describes the fragrance), but to me, the bottle is just a little awkward….
Will (and have) re-purchase(d)!!!

So I went into a store looking for something different and unique when the assistant introduced me to Michael Kors. I must say I fell in love with it the first time, the powdery notes and just had to buy it.
Now I absolutely regret purchasing this perfume.
It gives me such a headache, it’s so strong and potent and has this chemical smell to it I can taste it in my mouth. I can’t wait for the bottle to run out even my boyfriend cannot stand the smell.
I’m so disappointed 🙁

This is a heavenly scent. I live in Hawaii and I was sitting outside a Michael Kors boutique, when I smelled a quiet whiff of this deliciousness. I just had to find out what it was… I asked a friendly sales associate and she said that it’s a common occurrence where people will come in to the store to inquire about the scent. She said they will spray this particular scent in the store about once an hour. In Hawaii, we have fresh tuberose blossoms in our local floral shops and this perfume is very close to the natural scent of this beautiful white flower. I find that this perfume is quite strong but with a light hand, it can stay close to the skin without being overwhelming and obtrusive. On my skin, the scent stays pretty linear and the notes do not change much over time. This fragrance gives off a vibe of being a sophisticated but very sultry scent. It is intoxicating and I absolutely love it.

This perfume is not for the faint of heart! It is incredibly girly, sexy and distinct. This perfume reminds me of what a Miami bombshell would wear on a night out with a pair of gold strappy stilettos and a crisp white jumpsuit. The tuberose and gardenia are very prominent in this one; the tuberose sits quite close to the skin while the gardenia envelopes around you. This is a scent that you wear for man (not literally of course, but it’ll get his attention). I love this one!

Wow! I LOVE this perfume! I’m a little late in discovering it, as I believe it’s been around a while. But I found a sample of it in a Macy’s ad. When I opened the folded paper and smelled this, I knew right away I had to have it. I like Sporty Amber but I know my body…I will get a headache from that amber/sandalwood/musky scent. I like the Citrus one too. But I do not like the Jasmine one of that trio. It’s way too sweet and way too floral. What I’m getting at is this: Although Michael Kors perfume is floral (tuberose and maybe gardenia), it’s not over-done or too sweet like Michaels Kors’ Jasmine perfume. Yes, this fragrance is strong, but I like that because it’ll last longer (’cause you’re not using it as much) and it’ll last on my skin a long time. I’m so sick of perfumes that I have that do not last! I’ll take a stronger perfume any day over a weak one. I put Michael Kors on this morning and it’s 12 hrs. later and I can still smell it. Hooray! What a pleasant surprise! Finally! I plan to wear this during the day, but I won’t be spraying it all over my body like some of my other perfumes. That would be a bit much. One or two little spritzes would do it. I don’t think this is too-too strong; it just goes a long way, if that makes sense. I smell more than floral, though. I detect other scents…Oriental, an earthy note, the South Pacific. There’s a warmness to it also. The floral notes remind me of flowers in Hawaii. This just may be my signature scent. I’ve been searching 2 years now. I’ve got my favorites narrowed down to a couple Gucci fragrances and now this one.

This is my favorite scent in the world.
I usually go for vanilla, sandalwood, musk, gourmand scents- never florals until I smelled Michael.
I remember distinctly over a century ago when I was in 8th grade- smelling this in a magazine and becoming obsessed immediately. I kept the paper ad forever, smelling it constantly until I received a bottle for Christmas.
My mother HATES the smell of this because I practically bathed in it for years, and you need to use a light hand with this one. It’s potent and lasts all day, through showers sometimes.
It’s heady, warm, comforting, intoxicating almost. “creamy floral” is a spot on description. On my skin it turns just a bit soapy but it works for me.
There is no in between, you will either love or hate this.
I feel special wearing it, as I’ve never smelled it on anyone else before, until…
This past weekend I saw my brothers gf rolling the parfume on her wrists. And she told me her and her sister both have worn it forever. I got a little too excited haha.
I went to repurchase a bottle yesterday and the lady at the counter told me it reminds her of Miami bc a nice hotel there sprays their entire downstairs with it! I though that was so cool, and this perfume is obviously a very special scent for some people.

It took me a while to warm up to this perfume because I usually go for the more sweet gourmand scents. It starts off very strong and at first the punch of tuberose was intimidating. However, the dry down is sensational and the lasting power of this fragrance is one of the best. It’s a happy scent and I constantly get comments on how uplifting my fragrance is. The creamy floral notes mix perfectly with the cashmere like base creating a really confident signature scent.
