I agree with the curry and celery references. I will not purchase

This was one of the travel size bottles in the Necessaire Azur gift set, which was a great, inexpensive way to try a variety of Atelier scents. This was, sadly, my least favourite. It is very peculiar–starts with citrus but quickly dries to what others have described as “curry” and I think smells like celery. Either way, not exactly something I want to wear.

When I put this on, there was a very strong blast of orange and other citruses, but that faded to a gentle, pleasant citrus within minutes. However, there’s an underlying spicy smell that smells like curry. Very weird with the orange. It’s not really bad per se, but I just don’t like it, and don’t want to smell like a spicy entree.

I love the scent of this if I spray it onto my clothes, it’s a fresh orange scent very strong and fresh but the dry down on my skin removes all the orange scent and leaves this earthy smell that I don’t care for at all. I will use up the amount I have (part of the wardrobe collection) on clothing but won’t repurchase because it doesn’t work on my skin at all.

On my skin I get a lot of mandarin and ginger followed by saffron and cumin (I’m surprised these notes are not listed.) It does smell a lot like curry powder. I’m happy I got to sample this scent but I won’t be purchasing a full bottle. On my skin curry scents turn into something akin to b.o.

Got a sample of this a long time ago, and after one try I promptly hid it away in my “probably-should-throw-away-but-I’m-a-cheapskate” pile. Well, I decided to revisit it today and now I’m holding it over the trash can.
Mandarine Glaciale is supposed to represent a crisp, refreshing, ice-cold mandarin, but all I get is super artificial citrus cleaning product that morphs into a plate of curry. Now granted, the ginger notes in here might emerge more gracefully on other people, but my skin loves to turn anything remotely spicy into a gross curry/unwashed armpit scent. It might be forgivable if the citrus were more authentic, but it isn’t. All around just not a good fragrance. Bleghh.

This is another very pure orange from Atelier, similar to Orange Sanguine but not as complex. The real reason for the lower rating, though, is that it didn’t last at all. An hour in and I couldn’t detect it.

Nice fresh, light scent initially but I felt like it faded quickly into a drab one on me. The bright/freshness was gone within an hour. Scents are so individual that it’s hard to rate.

Atelier perfume — just didn’t like the scent
