I blind bought this for the lovely bottle and the gorgeous note matrix and it’s so much more interesting than I’d even imagined it would be.
It opens with something that can only be described as “plastic baby doll accord”—this is not entirely unpleasant but it’s odd to say the least. I don’t mind it, I have liked other fragrances with that accord (Luctor et Emergo is one)–it’s nostalgic. (If you are unfamiliar with how this might smell–think powdery almond/vanilla with a hint of petrol).
The drydown is warm suede, spicy anise, and creamy tonka with a hint of green cypress that on a warm day could lean more towards a pee note (thankfully, not today). It’s a very well blended and interesting fragrance with a gorgeous bottle and I’m very excited to try more from this house.
