Just received my sample from Luckyscent.
If Kurkdjian knew he was going to make so many great fragrances then he should have at least made them somewhat affordable!! It’s so wrong… I want like 5 different MFKs and that’s basically a mortgage payment lol
To me APOM Pour Femme starts off smelling like Lancome Poeme mixed with Margiela’s Beach Walk or Sun di Gioia. I always liked Poeme, but something about those honeyed yellow florals seemed too thick and heavy… Like I could taste it in the back of my throat. As APOM dries down it starts to develop a soapy, sparkling scent that somewhat reminds me of a light Chanel No.5 (light, not a dead ringer). From beginning to end the focus is definitely the yellow florals, but they are balanced by something fresh, something slightly soapy, and something almost lotion-y (Nivea essentially enriched lotion ??). Odd description, I know, but trust me it all works together.
APOM is very pleasant, and is definitely feminine, mature and womanly. If you like yellow florals then definitely try this.
EDIT: I always write and post my own reviews before reading anyone else’s… I’ve read the reviews below mine and someone mentioned this being unisex. Uhhhhh…. Listen, I’m the type who thinks women are free to wear men’s colognes and men are free to wear women’s perfumes. There’s no law against that, nor should there be. However, some fragrances DO smell “traditionally feminine” and others smell “traditionally masculine.” But, everyone is still free to wear what they want. APOM Pour Femme is traditionally feminine. I would hate for a man to blindly purchase this fragrance thinking it will smell even the least bit masculine, because it doesn’t. This is my own opinion. Just my advice: purchase a sample first if you’re looking for something unisex so you can form your own opinion. Different noses, different perceptions

…had this beautiful perfume for over 7 years and still think of it as an unique and magical 3chords parfume, polished to perfection…
now I love orange blossom, neroli, and ”citrus-like-but not-quite-citrusy” accords in a perfume, and I’ve tried quite a few before concluding that this one is my HG orange blossom based perfume…
just 2 days ago I went and bought yet another bottle of this and it left me a bit dissappointed because of the reformulation…namely Mr.Kurkdjian thought that the top notes didn’t quite met his criteria and after the first lot (a.d. 2009) he released another, and if i can be quite candid, for me- less impresive one…
this APOM bottle for example has a very non appealing ”chinese gold” top, that looks like a very cheap plastic, but ok…whereas the old one has a tasty, golden top that looks quite expensive and elegant…
overall presentation is quite similar to the first edition but first has ”APOM pour femme” engraved on a bottle whereas new one just ”APOM femme”…
the juice itself is very much the same as an idea, but there IS a big difference in the opening suggesting that newer version has much more ripe citruses replacing heavenly creamy ylang note the old one has, quite subdued in the newer version…
the scents developes loudly and gloriously and fades lightly leaving a strong, oily trace of orange blossoms with sweet vanilla hint…
this is a over the top tasty, even gourmandy/woody orange, very pastel, heavy, but still not anything usually found even in a niche offerings…
pity that it has been changed a bit, but the new version is equally pretty, just lacking some milky, deep undertones in the opening and the first hour of wearing…
day to night perfume, safe and by all means unisex, maybe leaning a bit more on the feminine side…
APOM pour homme is equaly gorgeous, and I might consider buying that one too…
lovers of Elie Saab-if you find Elie too brash, noisy and hightpitched but still love the musky perfuminess of orangeblossoms in all ripeness, try this magnificent creation….
10/10…and if you find older version, you’ll be stunned just how ”differently same” they are…I personaly prefer the older one:))

APOM pour femme is a very subtly delicious clean orange blossom scent. Mr Kurkdjian loves his orange blossom for sure !
It is a very well balanced almost delicate yet lasting honeyed orange blossom with a base of clean musk . It’s actually quite simple and it feels like a section of Guerlain’s L’Heure Bleue taken out and amplified into a full blown scent of its own .I read Mr Kurkdjian doesn’t care for L’Heure Bleue so perhaps this is his version of it – for the 21st century .
At times though I hate to say it ….I do get a bit of ‘dryer sheet musk smell ‘ in the dry down .
I have had compliments with this scent so try it out.
This scent never screams but it lingers for a long time on your skin. Despite the slight dryer sheet smell from time to time, I still think this is a fantastic ,versatile composition, signature scent worthy and I will buy again. It’s the kind of scent that you wear and not the other way around and yet it is distinctive. Also it’s that kind of scent that melds with your skin rather than sitting atop of it. That is the great talent of Francis Kurkdjian !

If you’ve smelled any of Mr. Kurkdjian’s other fragrances (Narciso Rodriguez for Her, Lanvin Rumeur) you’d know he a) loves his clean musks and b) he wants them to stick around for whole day.
Which leads me to APOM pour femme, which should be called “A Piece of Laundry” because a thick, sweet dryer sheet musk is all I smell after initial spritz. And it lasts and lasts . . . and lasts.
If APOM pour femme was being offered at mainstream prices, I might judge it less harshly. It isn’t awful, just one note. But, there are more interesting and engaging scents out there for 165 bucks US.

This is an amazing, pretty and sexy fragrance. Whenever I wear it, people ask what it is. It is way too strong to wear to work–it’s strictly a night-out scent. It last forever. I even have the candle, which I never light but it still lightly scents the room.

this is oscar (from oscar de la Renta) or Vanderbilt without the powder note. buy oscar for a fraction of the cost , compare the two you’ll see what I mean.

I love the orange blossom in NR For Her so much, and after hearing that it’s one of creator Francis Kurkdjian’s favorite notes, I was excited to try this orange-blossom scent from his personal line. This smelled amazing on the paper tester so I committed some precious skin space to it on a recent trip to Scent Bar in LA. I don’t know what evil my skin did to this, but it smelled horrid on the drive home — all the lilting florals disappeared and I was left with chalky sugar valentine hearts — and it only got worse until I finally had to scrub it. I sniffed the paper tester I kept just to see if it was my skin that was at fault, and sure enough, the scent on paper was still divine. So sorry I can’t wear this.

I like sweet and slightly thick citrus fragrances as well as salty and edgy ones – but soapy citrus is not my thing. I was very curious about APOM and also excited about the arrival of Andy Tauer’s Orange Star thinking that one of them would give me some orange coloured heaven -both are close but no cigar. APOM treats orange blossom like a voluminous flower with meaty petals. This is not a soapy, wilted little blossom but quite a heady, intoxicating floral that shines in honey colours and really captures the essence of the intersection of the Mediterranean and the Middle East – like Lebanon that inspired this fragrance. Like with other fragrances from the same house, my chemistry reveals a rubber note, very much like that of the cheap orange-coloured swim fins of my childhood together with a mineral note. When the heart notes settle, this becomes a caramelized, savoury smell that accompanies soft and quite sweet orange blossoms. Altogether pleasant but not exactly my kind of thing. Orange Star is slightly more interesting with sparkly lemongrass but not HG, either. 3.5

This is a lovely orange blossom scent which is very soft and works in all environments. Before trying this my favorite orange blossom was Bourbon French due to the same soft qualities but this one is more refined and better formulated. Nothing weird or over complicated.
