I never paid much attention to this scent in the early ‘00s. But I visited someone recently and she had a small tube of Lucky You lotion in her bathroom. I sniffed it and was amazed by how “pink,” fresh, and pretty it smelled! She told me it came from a $10 fragrance set at CVS. I found the set and bought one for myself (body spray, lotion, shower gel & bath fizzy).
I’m very happy with this fragrance. Even in its undoubtedly watered-down 2019 version, it has considerable sillage & longevity. Lucky You immediately announces itself as an early ‘00s Soapy Pink Floral. You know the type: Lancôme Miracle, JLo Glow, Clinique Happy Heart, Arden Red Door Revealed, and the numerous cherry-blossom-themed body sprays. These were hyper-fresh fruity florals that projected for miles.
But Lucky You is an excellent specimen of the genre. It isn’t painfully sharp, sickly sweet, or completely bland and insipid like some of its kin. It strikes the perfect balance between zesty pink grapefruit, soft florals, and clean musk to give the overall impression of having woken up full of optimism and showered with lovely bathing products. I really enjoy how this smells on me, and it’s totally safe for work. Maybe not the most original and daring of fragrances, but a solid classic nonetheless.

I first purchased this fragrance in 2000, and I still wear it on a regular basis today (almost 20 years later). It is described as a youthful, girlish fragrance – and it can be, but I think it is versatile enough to be used by much older people, and men. The scent is sweet and a bit powdery, but overall, clean and very very fresh.
When worn by a man I think the nose intuits ‘clean’ and ‘vibrant’ more than ‘sweet’ – the sweetness is there, but not esmasculating. My husband (who dresses like a lumberjack works at a power plant) wears this to work without self-consciousness… He likes the freshness of it without the overpowering spiciness or muddy fecal tones that are so ubiquitous in men’s fragrances these days.
Similarly, when I have worn it in the office it says ‘I’m refreshed and ready for anything!’ without intimating inexperience or naivety. It is a simple fragrance, suitable for casual, simple activities where you don’t need lots of distractions: pleasant, but not overwhelming or attention-seeking.
I expect that this one will stay in my rotation for a long time.

I always try something new but I always come back to this scent! I love it as my everyday perfume because I love how it smells on me, lingers throughout the day, is fairly inexpensive and I get constant compliments on it. I have yet to meet a man who doesn’t like it either. I’d suggest trying it on first before buying it though because it tends to smell too sharp or sweet on some people but for me it smell sexy, youthful but elegant at the same time, I’ve tried more expensive perfumes and this has always stayed my number 1, I also love that most people cannot reconize what it is because I feel like this perfume really changes on people’s

I really like this perfume. I got mine (3.4 oz) at Tj Maxx for 16.99 I really enjoy the scent of it and it actually lasts a good amount of time. Only thing is that it can be a TINY bit strong but the initial shock fades away quick.

I didn’t realize there were 2 versions of this fragrance, does anyone know what the differences are between this and the Liz Claiborne version? I would be curious to know if that one would be more palatable for me.
I really wanted to like this one, it’s a fun bottle, inexpensive, and it seemed like it would be a bright fresh floral.
Well, yes, it is…but there is something in the mix of notes that gives me an instant migraine. It is too synthetic and sharp–I don’t get anything woody from it…just citrus, hyacinth, and LOTS of green. Very very green.
The drydown never happens for me, it stays stuck in too sharp green territory and even now, thinking of the scent, I wince a bit.
I know I’ve smelled this on others and it’s just gorgeous, so it is definitely right up some people’s alleys. Just not mine (sadly, I still have 1 1/2 full bottles PLUS shower gel and lotion, that’ll teach me to buy a gift set! LOL)
I would NOT repurchase!

This fragrance is not unique but definitely pleasant. I think it is good for an inexpensive everyday fragrance.

This is just amazing. I love the soft yet sexy smell it has, the lotion is great too. Been wearing this since I was 12 and will continue. One of my front row perfumes. Absolutely adore it.
