I recently purchased 12 samples from Luckyscent and Love was one of them. I decided to try this because I’ve read that it is the perfume Rihanna wears. She is beautiful and stylish, so I figured this wouldn’t disappoint. And it doesn’t.
The opening of Love reminds me of a creamy, higher quality version of Pink Sugar. As it dries down, however, it smells less like Pink Sugar and more like something else that I couldn’t quite figure out initially but seemed familiar. Then, it hit me: Classique EDP (MY love). Love isn’t a dead ringer for Classique EDP, but there are similarities. There’s a smooth, spicy, almost boozy sweetness in both. However, I still think boozy sweet vanilla is done better in Classique EDP than in Love, but this is pretty good.
Honestly, I think the price is silly, although the presentation is nicely done. A woman probably would feel quite fancy sitting at her vanity and opening that pretty box to spray her $300 bottle of perfume.
Try before you buy because of price, but most gourmand lovers will enjoy this fragrance.

Love is definitely quite sweet on my skin, but I don’t find it cloying. It is a wonderfully comforting gourmand scent, and one I can use in all seasons. Staying power is good, and I like Love on its own as well as layered with Kilian’s Sweet Redemption. Very expensive, like all Kilians but I adore the juice and the packaging. A splurge, but a worthy one.

At first, this smells almost identical to that Coty “Cotton Candy Fantasy” body spray sold at Wal-Mart. Shockingly sweet, not sickly, but definitely cavity inducing! Within five minutes on my skin, though, it softens considerably. Still very much spun sugar sugar with a touch of vanilla or honeyed strawberry, but not nearly as loud and cloying as its drugstore cousin.
Eventually, it calms down to a peachy rose pink frosting scent that hovers just above the skin. Still very sweet, very pink, very sugary, but complex enough that I’m impressed.
It’s quite pleasant, but but skews very young to my nose – it never loses that cotton candy feel – and I’d honestly – personally – feel a bit odd wearing it past age 23 or so. I’ll keep my sample vial for days at home when I want a sugar rush, but to me, that isn’t enough to justify a bottle. It has me interested in trying more By Kilian, though!

I adore gourmand fragrances. Some of my favorites are TM Angel, Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille, SL Jeux de Peau, and L’artisan Parfumeur Safran Troublant. When I read several reviews that Love may be the best gourmand perfume yet and also read the notes, it sounded right up my alley and I bought a full bottle unsniffed.
Well, it’s not what I’d hoped, especially at this price point. I expected something beautiful and complex. Instead, it starts out cloyingly sweet and the entire scent is somewhat linear.
I don’t get the bubblegum smell that others describe, but on first whiff it smelled like I stuck my nose directly in a jar of honey and honeysuckle. I like sweet scents, but the opening is cloyingly sweet. The second time I wore it I did pick up on the orange scent, but only for a few seconds before the honey and honeysuckle takes over. Thankfully the overpowering sweetness does fade, but the predominant scent remains the honeysuckle until the fragrance completely wears off about four hours later. I wish I could pick up on the vanilla, rose, and jasmine, but no matter how much I sniff, I just can’t find it.
If this were a bottle from Bath and Body Works with different expectations and much different price point, I would probably like it, but sadly Love is a pretty big disappointment.

What’s not to love with Love ?! Well if you do not have a sweet tooth and dislike gourmand perfumes ,loathe Mugler’s Angel ,then I suggest you stay away from Love by Kilian .
My first sampling was when I actually bought samples of Beyond Love on Ebay but received Love by Kilian by mistake instead some years back .
Love is very very sweet on opening – saturated sweetness and that Kilian syrupiness that I find in almost all his first few scents . I can feel a bit over the top at very first but it soon settles down in a delectable , strong, sugared orange blossom -rose – vanilla on me , underlined with that ” Kilian Syrup Note ” . I was actually repelled at first by this huge wall of sweetness but it grew on me.
Kilian’s are expensive – about $265 before tax for 50 mls but I find that they have really very good tenacity and longevity making a purchase worthwhile.
One drop of Love lasted for many hours ( it was really just ONE drop ) and I got compliments as well . How strange but many strangers loved this .
I say this is an excellent perfume and you know what ….. I am one of those who really hates Mugler’s Angel . However, Love……. I can do and wear.
The great thing about Kilian’s is that you can buy travel spray refills for a lot less than if you bought the actual 50 ml bottle.
My suggestion is to get the travel refills . I think Love does well dabbed because it is nuclear strong .
Very good .

This was instant love! I bought the travel set with the lovely carved black glass atomiser and 4 refills. It is a lovely sweet candy like scent and has a hint of root beer/Dr pepper to my nose. I like the fact that you can buy just the refills at what I think is a reasonable price for a niche brand and use them in the atomiser, the SA gave me 5 different samples and I really want to try Back to Black and Sweet Redemption next! Love the quality of these perfumes, can’t stop sniffing my wrists!

I generally don’t care for sweet or extremely foody fragrances, especially vanilla notes but I’d had such great success with other Kilians I thought I’d give this a try. Short story is I love Love. This is the fragrance that opened my eyes (maybe nose is more appropriate) to the world of vanilla. Yes, it’s sweet but it’s a mellow sweetness, tempered by a slightly bitter note. Dries down to a warm comforting spicy vanilla.

To start, I have been a long time fan of Auric Blends Egyptian Goddess. I bought my first bottle at 18 and, even at age 30, I find that I still love it. After reading the description for Love, I figured it would be a safe blind buy. Well, I just got my bottle and I am very pleased! This is a beautiful, subtle scent. Musky yet floral. It’s a scent that stays close to your skin. I get the feeling, though, that it’s like EG in the sense that if it blends enough with your natural smell, you might not be able to smell it all that well. This has been my experience after wearing it for a few hours. Other people definitely notice, though! We’ll see if I get as many compliments as I do with EG. In short, I will buy again. But the beauty of Auric Blends is that, while cheap, these oil perfumes last FOREVER. So I probably won’t need to replace this for at least a year.

This oil is pretty genius.
Subtle, sexy but not in an overt way, and quietly tenacious. It doesn’t shout across the room; its presence is more like a persistent whisper. For days when a bold statement scent with the reach of five city blocks seems too much, this scent is perfect. Don’t let the affordability fool you – as there are fantastic scents to be had at every price point and Auric Blends got this one right. (Disclaimer: I tried their famous Egyptian Goddess [their version of Egyptian Musk] and it went all wonky and sour on me.)
Whatever it purports to contain, all I get is something that gently hums along; a clever musk accord, a dash of something vaguely floral, some light woody elements, all lending to a beautiful skin scent. It’s the kind of thing will make people lean in and say “Oooh, you smell really good…” as opposed to asking you what perfume you’re wearing. Who wouldn’t like that kind of compliment?
I’ve seen a few complaints on the fragrance boards where people were bemoaning that there’s no scent to the scent but they’re clearly anosmic to the musk blend used here. That’s a shame because they’ll never know what they’re missing.
Edit: Now that I’ve obtained a bottle of the ever-elusive, cult favorite Narciso Rodriguez’s Musc for Her (the limited edition perfume oil version, in the opaque black bottle) and had the chance to wear them side by side, I must say there are striking similarities once on skin, and frankly I prefer Love. Love’s scent is less sharp, rounder, and with its roll-on applicator, much easier to apply. There’s also the cost: NR is about 150.00 for 1.7 ounces – and that’s only if you can find it – but Love will set you back a cool $7-8 for a1/3 ounce bottle that will last an eternity.
A favourite perfume oil – I buy three roll-ons at a time.

This has given my HG fragrance a run for it’s money! I love soft, clean-skin-but-better scents and this fits the bill. I usually wear Prada Infusion d’iris, and I love it! But once olfactory fatigue sets in, I tend to switch it up for a while. I was never able to find a scent I liked as much as my Prada until I found this one. There is enough similarity between the two that I feel I’m wearing the same kind of scent, but enough difference that my nose picks up between the two. The funny thing is it feels my perfume Journey has gone full circle Egyptian goddess was the very first perfume I ever bought myself back when I was 12! Now, 22 years later, I have purchased its sister scent to complement my HG perfume. Pretty sure it’s a sign to stop my searching 🙂

Oh Love where have you been all my life? The search is over. The best fragrance ever, hands down. This is the most comforting, soft, lovely, therapeutic scent I have ever come across. One of those that literally makes you feel better just smelling it. I hope to always smell this way. My poor perfume collection will henceforth be gathering dust, and collecting perfume is a passion of mine!! This is the ultimate musk, followed by Clean Skin and Nemat White Musk. Love has better staying power however and works beautifully with my chemistry; the scent I have been seeking in all my perfume gathering. Like a soft, heavenly embrace. Try it!!!
dreadfulHawk5
I love this scent, and have been using several of the Auric Blends fragrances for years. Love is a clean white floral with some skin musk thrown in. It’s very soft, clean and an undeniably pretty scent. Unfortunately, Auric Blends seems to have really diluted their fragrances lately, and Love is no exception. The Love scent is still beautiful nonetheless, and I keep several of these stashed all over (work, my purse, gym bag, the car) for scent touch ups. I took one mark off for the product because the Auric Blends oils aren’t as strongly scented as they used to be, but I’ll still continue to purchase nonetheless. As a tip, when you first buy on of the Auric Blends rollerballs, put the fragrance off to the side standing up with the cap off. Leave it uncapped for about a week, and the fragrance is intensified.

This perfume smells amazing has a dimension few perfumes have. After a lot of searching I found a few with this same butterfly inducing scent one is the PINK fresh and clean and the other is MAC Turquatic and Hanae Mori no8. The all have that light but sexy scent that mixes with your natural chemistry. Love also smells expensive not like a lemon or lavender scent typical organic perfumes would have. It is also rare and not too common perfect to make your own unique and mysterious scent.
shyDunbird5
This has 0 lasting power on me, seems remotely in the same vein as Narciso Rodriguez EDP but I can barely smell it and I’ve tried it many many times.
Save your money.

I picked this up on Clearance at WM for $10.00. Best purchase/deal of the year for me, lol (and yes, I despise WM). Anyway, I was very pleasantly surprised by this. First of all, the bottle is very pretty. Feminine and classy looking, nothing ‘too fancy’ yet still quite pretty to look at. Classy and classic and clean-looking, feminine looking. Love the bottle.
Scent-wise, I do see how some may say this is a pretty standard fragrance, nothing too unique about it, but it is still quite lovely. The main accords according to fragrantica.com are:
MAIN ACCORDS
white floral
floral
patchouli
powdery
musky
Yes, there are many scents out there with this combo of main accords, but many do not have the performance of this. For me, this lasts all day with just a couple quick spritz, and the dry down on me is pretty much the same as when first applied. To me, that is a mark of a great perfume.
Would repurchase this at some point (if it is not discontinued)…The scent is pleasing, to me this is a ‘workhorse’ of a scent to me that lasts all day, and the bottle is very pretty/feminine.
cautiousQuiche9
I adore this scent. I first received a rollerball for christmas and then purchased the full size bottle. The packaging/bottle is cute. I like that this scent is both musky and floral. It feels young but still polished at the same time. It lasts for most of the day unlike most of my other perfumes; however, I will say that if you work in an office or around someone who is sensitive to perfumes that this may be best to avoid or apply extremely sparingly because of its long lasting quality. I dab it on my wrists and its enough to last me through a day of class and work.
pluckyCow0
I really like this fragrance. I’m a big fan of Coco Mad and patchouli, so if you like either of those things, or woodsy/green scents, definitely take a sniff of this one. The longevity is actually decent, around 4-5 hours on my skin. Not the best, not the worst by a long shot. The drydown is nice and simple. It loses some of the spicy and woodsy notes, and turns more sweet. Two points deducted for price and also for convinence of purchase. The bottle is nice, and I’m glad to have it in my collection. I will be repurchasing.
peacefulGarlic4
I FELL INLOVE WITH THIS SCENT!! It’s a stronger yet softer scent. I like that its not too overpowering. The musky/floral notes mixed in this one are lovely! This scent will do for any occasion. I bought the 1oz to try then immidiately purchased the 1.7oz as backup. L-o-v-e i-t ðŸ‘â¤ðŸ˜ðŸ˜Š
finickyPoultry9
I like this scent. It reminds me of a lighter and more musky/floral version of Jimmy Choo. It’s not exactly like Jimmy Choo, but I find the patchouli is similar on my skin. It’s certainly not new or different, but a safe crowd pleaser, in my opinion. I find the sillage and longevity to be middle of the road. I’ll happily use all my sample and perhaps even buy a small rollerball for my collection.
cruelGnu8
Smells like a conglomeration of every scent offered by Sephora. A mess of weak woods and florals that made me feel vaguely queasy from the first synthetic top notes to the bland dry-down.
truthfulMussel5
I love this perfume! It’s grown woman sexy! It begins with a powerful sweet, but floral fragrance. Then it transitions into a musky patchouli. I absolutely love this. It lasts very long on me, but patchouli works well with my chemistry. The dry down reminds me of Calvin Klein’s Euphoria but sweeter. Love it!
ecstaticSalami6
i would respectfully disagree with mamma30 and say that the payoff for this is beautiful day or night. I wore this for my father’s wedding (29th November 2014), it looked stunning even in into the nighttime. It is not a loud colour by any means, subtle but not weakly so.Enough to be seen give a pop of flush. Easily my favourite shade of rose, soft neutral-warm rosy pink, perfect for my nc15/ivory toned fair skin. Despite that I disagree with mamma30, i can see their point and they’re coming from. It’s all down to tastes and preferences. Would absolutely repurchase again should I ever hit pan. Love love love this!! 🙂 .

I have waited ages to review this blusher as I couldn’t make up my mind about it . I still can’t really ,had to have it as I loved the name. it’s a quite pretty tea rose colour that gives a natural flush of colour . My skin is quite pale and one swipe of the brush is enough for me . I think i would have liked it more if it had slight touch more pinkiness or maybe red to it . I am using this for work and sometimes for a casual day to the shops .Its definitely just an everyday wear colour . I like it but not enough to wear it for a night out and if it wasn’t limited edition i would not buy it again just because I don’t love it .
yearningEggs4
NARS ‘Love’ blush is one of four new blushes released in the NARS Final Cut collection for spring 2014. It’s described as a ‘tea rose’ color which is a pretty accurate description I’d say. It’s a very neutral pink rose color that leans neither warm nor cool, thus it’s a very neutral shade. It’s a very work-appropriate, everyday shade of blush that can suit many different skintones, but is probably best-suited for fairer or medium skintones. On my medium tan skintone, it takes at least a couple of layers for the color to show up. Although this is a nice enough blush, I didn’t really find it to be very unique or anything too special. It’s probably very easy to dupe this blush with something from the drugstore or a MAC blush. It’s ideal for those who don’t want to wear bright shades on their cheeks or don’t want their blush to stand out. It’s a nice, natural-looking, everyday kind of blush that isn’t suited for darker skintones.

Absolutely love this but it is mighty expensive although worth it. I bought the travel size at £85. It is a small amount but the refills are reasonable at £41, however I could blast through that quickly. For me, it is more of a winter scent so I don’t mind spending a little extra for one season. It is probably the most unique gourmand scent I have ever worn and get loads of compliments from men and women when I wear it. The packagin on the travel bottle is stunning although very heavy. The best option is to buy that and then use refill from other scents with it rather than dish out the dosh each time. I also like the Dangerous Liaisons scent from this line. All are unique and have great lasting power as well as staying true to the scent in the bottle after application.

I just read that at the local fair the most creative fried food category was won by a pink marshmallow confection called “fried bubblegum” which one reviewer described as “My Little Pony Turds” and honestly I think I found the My Little Pony Piddle to go with it.
If this is Love then please give me the antidote.
gloomyLard9
This is a uniquely beautiful and sensuous perfume. Anyone who thinks it smells like bubblegum needs to have their nose examined. It is sweet and complex which lends it a mysterious quality. Kilian perfumes use premium ingredients hence no allergic reactions for me, unlike cheap perfume. It is a 3 dimensional fragrance which lasts for hours in my skin. If the price seems high there is a travel box set with an unusual black flask.
decimalRelish4
Oh my goodness, this smells SO good. I’ve tried some indie perfumes in the past, and they’ve always had a strange undertone which turned me off of them completely. But this is one is the first exception that I have found. I was at Whole Foods browsing the beauty aisle (typical) and next to the Pacifica perfumes, I found this. I don’t know what compelled me to try it, but I did, and boy did I love it. I immediately purchased it and I’ve been wearing it every day since. To me, it smells fresh but it has dimension; it’s like nothing I’ve ever smelled before. It lasts pretty long too, because when I was greeting my mom after being out in the hot weather for several hours, she said I smelled good!! Smelling good after being drenched in sweat? Yes, please! I absolutely adore this and I want to get the bigger bottle so I can be more generous with the application — with rollerballs I feel like I never have enough on! LOVE (get it? 😉 ) this!
Edit: I’ve never received as many compliments on how good I smell as I have with this. Who knew that the $8 rollerball from Whole Foods would last longer on me than my $95 Chanel Chance?!
annoyedMussel8
I don’t usually go for floral scents, but after falling in love with Egyptian Goddess and seeing that a Love has a base of that, I knew I had to try. As a 21-year-old, I actually prefer fragrances one would consider “more mature” (I say that in the most respectable sense). I love a good, warm amber, vanilla or musky fragrance. When I first dabbed this on I was disgusted. Too much floral nastiness. I went to take an hour nap and woke up to what everyone explains as “super clean, laundry-like amazingness.” They are right! It smells like fresh linen with a hint of warm, creamy musk. It’s delicious. I layer it over my Egyptian Goddess for daytime and love the results.
*EDIT 6/28*
I wore this exclusively without Egyptian Goddess today and at 2 p.m., 7 hours after I applied the scent, one of my coworkers asked me what I was wearing. I was worried that the scent was cloying to him and asked. He told me “No, the smell has been lightly drifting around the room and could not figure out what it was!” I guess it’s a keeper.
blissfulFalcon7
Oh. My. Goddess.
What can I say to convey my newfound adoration for this amazing oil scent? I suppose I’ll start from the beginning.
I love wearing natural scents. I feel the are less harsh than synthetic fragrances, and they have a much longer wear time so I can use less. They also lack the indolic nature of many synthetics, and I find they are much less expensive.
I was at the natural food market earlier today just browsing with my friend through some of the essential oils when we both picked this up and gave it a whiff. And wow. The first scent I got was heavily floral, but as each smell cascaded by my senses, I picked up sweet musk undertones, vanilla-like notes, and a light powdery scent at the end. Never had I smelled something so multi-dimensional! I immediately applied it to my pulse points and brought one of the roller ball bottles up to the counter.
I know all perfumes tend to be unique from person to person due to chemistry, but I had no idea how much this would change. And boy, was it for the better! Twenty minutes in, and my wrists had a wonderfully warm, sweet fragrance that still harked back to the in-bottle scent, but rang much more on the vanilla/musk side. And I love that. Darker, warmer scents always resonate with me more. bringing my mind to a very calm, almost romantic place.
I’ve been wearing it for three hours now and the scent is still going strong. I keep smelling my wrist, basking in the sweetness!
As far as price, I paid around $6 USD for the roller ball bottle, which contains about 0.3 oz. Considering I’ve seen 0.5 oz. of other brands’ oils go for three times as much, I’d say this is a good bargain, especially considering the lengthy wear time of this oil.
The packaging is great. I love roller ball packaging for oils because it helps to control how much is dispensed, and is far less likely to make a huge mess if the cap comes loose.
This immediately has become my HG scent. I may have to buy a couple more bottles just to stock up. I’ll also be trying Auric Blends’ “Egyptian Goddess” once the store near me gets a new batch. (The batch they got seems to be rather scent-less. Must be a bad bunch.)

Smells cheap and generic. The dry down is meh. Disappointing.
adoringMeerkat8
I tried this on today because I thought I would like this since the ingredients are almost all faves of mine (Green Violet, Gardenia NaturePrint®, Patchouli, Caramel, Musk, Mandarin, Dewberry, Freesia, Magnolia, Jasmine, Sandalwood, Vanilla – according to Sephora). Instead, I hated it. I did not find it sophisticated at all. On the contrary, it smelled generic, girly-girlish. Nothing special. Just comes to prove that perfume is entirely subjective.
truthfulSeagull2
I like this scent very much. It’s a sophisticated musky floral. More for night than day, but it’s not overpowering or spicy. The bottle is beautiful, too.
